AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door was live from the SAP Center in
San Jose, California, and what a night it was with AEW,
NJPW, CMLL and Stardom all coming together for this huge
international spectacle! The road to AEW All In: London is
officially underway after tonight, and we now know who will
challenge for their respective World Titles after the Finals
of the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments.

For the second time in three years, Will Ospreay and Swerve
Strickland battled in the main event of Forbidden Door, but
this time, it was Ospreay who came away victorious in a
bloody battle as the Death Riders cheered him on in the
final minutes. With his Owen Cup triumph, Ospreay is now
that much closer to his dream of being the first British
wrestler to win a world championship on British soil, as
he’s locked into the AEW World Championship match at All In:
London.

In the Women’s Final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament,
Mercedes Moné outlasted Maya World, ending her Cinderella
run to become a back-to-back Owen Cup champion and the first
athlete to win the tournament twice. For the second year in
a row, she has punched her ticket to All In and the AEW
Women’s World Title match.

We expected all the chaos in the 12-man steel cage match
between Team DCMJF and Team Briscoe, and we got all that and
more, including Lio Rush coming out of an equipment bag and
Andrade turning on MJF to announce his exit from the Don
Callis Family. That allowed Mark Briscoe to hit MJF with the
Jay Driller and pin him to earn himself a shot at the AEW
World Title!

In other championship showdowns, Thekla retained the AEW
Women’s World Title over STARDOM’s Starlight Kid, Jon Moxley
kept the AEW Continental Championship from ROH World
Champion Bandido in a violent battle, and Christian Cage and
Adam Copeland beat The Dogs to remain AEW World Tag Team
Champions thanks to a surprise assist and return by Jay
White! Plus, Kenny Omega proved he’s still at the top of his
game after defeating Zack Sabre Jr. in an outstanding match!

The Buy-In: Unbound Co.'s Drilla Moloney def. Death Riders'
Daniel Garcia

We began the evening with a late addition to the card after
the Death Riders issued a challenge earlier today, which
Drilla Moloney answered. This first-time matchup saw Garcia
take Moloney down to the mat and celebrate a little too
much, but when Moloney came back at him, Garcia goaded him
into the corner and landed a stiff shot to the chest. That
was enough to wake Moloney up, as he drilled Garcia with a
pair of shoulder tackles that sent Garcia sprawling to the
floor to confer with Marina Shafir. Garcia tried to get back
in, so Moloney went out and threw him into the barricade.
Moloney chopped Garcia over the barricade into the front
row! What a tone to set for the night!

Garcia fought back with a dragon screw in the ropes and an
elbow strike that put Moloney on the floor. Garcia went out
after him and threw Moloney into the steel steps. As Moloney
staggered away, Garcia hit another dragon screw on the
floor. Garcia put Moloney in a chair and kept him there with
some elbow strikes. He backed up and charged at Moloney with
a dropkick! Moloney was thrown back in the ring, but before
Garcia followed him in, he flipped off Nigel McGuinness on
commentary. Garcia drew the referee's attention, so Shafir
choked Moloney in the corner and was nearly caught by the
referee. Garcia kept the attack on Moloney’s leg with a
double stomp to the back of the knees and a dragon screw. He
transitioned into an ankle lock, but Moloney got leverage to
hammer his way out. Garcia adjusted his grip, so Moloney
rolled him into a near-fall. Garcia dropkicked the back of
Moloney’s knee and threw him in the corner for mounted
punches. Garcia acted like he was going to bring back his
dance, but simply dropped back down to the mat. 

Garcia and Moloney traded reversals running the ropes until
Moloney scored with a dropkick, although he was slow to get
up. Moloney won a strike battle and powerbombed Garcia
coming out of the corner to get a two-count. Moloney came
off the top, and Garcia moved, so Moloney came up limping.
Garcia was locked in the Dragontamer, but Moloney was able
to get to the ropes to break the hold. Moloney got Garcia up
on his shoulders, so Garcia tried to hammerblow his way out
of it. Moloney shook it off and flipped Garcia over his
shoulder, but Shafir pulled Garcia down. Garcia hit a
barrage of strikes and a Twist and Shout with some
celebratory air guitar. Perhaps in tribute to NJPW President
Hiroshi Tanahashi, who is in the house tonight? Moloney
caught a charging Garcia and hoisted him up for Drilla
Killa, which connected, and Moloney pinned Garcia for the
victory!


The Buy-In: TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest
Qualifying Match: Maika def. Triangle of Madness' Skye Blue


As Maika made her way to the ring, we saw STARDOM President
Taro Okada in the crowd. Blue, meanwhile, came to the ring
with Julia Hart. Blue pushed Maika to the corner at the bell
and told her, “This is my ring!” Blue took Maika down, but
Maika came right back and knocked Blue to the mat with a
shoulder tackle. She nailed a big clothesline in the corner,
and another shoulder tackle followed by a basement
clothesline for a near-fall. Blue reversed a suplex into a
small package for a two-count and followed with a boot. Blue
hammered Maika near the ropes, but Maika sent a charging
Blue into the ropes with a drop toehold. When Maika tried to
rush in, Blue pulled down the top rope, sending Maika to the
floor. Blue hit a running kick from the apron and tried a
diving hurricanrana, but Maika caught Blue and powerbombed
her on the corner of the apron! Maika rolled Blue and
covered her for a two-count. Maika was locked in a cross
armbreaker, so Blue broke the hold by getting her feet on
the ropes. 

Maika charged at Blue in the corner, but Blue caught her and
drove Maika’s head into the second turnbuckle. Blue backed
up and hit a big facewash kick to Maika. Blue covered and
got a two-count. Blue mounted Maika for punches and threw
her into the corner. Blue choked Maika with her boot and
dropped her with a twisting neckbreaker for another near-
fall. Blue taunted Maika, so Maika quickly snatched her for
a vertical suplex followed by a side suplex. She covered,
and Blue kicked out at two. Maika kept wrist control on Blue
with three short-arm clotheslines. Maika charged Blue in the
corner, so Blue slipped to the apron and blasted Maika with
a forearm. Blue went up top, but Maika stopped her and met
her for a superplex! Maika covered, and Blue kicked out
again! 

Maika clotheslined Blue in the corner and put her on the top
rope. Blue fought back and slipped underneath to trap
Maika’s head in the turnbuckles. A thrust kick landed, and
Blue pulled Maika out of the corner with a powerbomb, but
Maika kicked out at two! Blue screamed in frustration and
got into a strike battle with Maika. Blue hit a tornado DDT
for yet another nearfall! Blue slammed the mat in
frustration! Maika caught Blue off the ropes with a
powerslam for a nearfall. Blue floated off Maika and hit
another thrust kick, so Maika rolled to the apron to avoid a
pin attempt. Blue tried to bring her back in, but Maika
slapped her across the jaw and the two jockeyed for suplex
position. Maika lifted Blue over the ropes onto the apron
and landed a brainbuster on the apron! Maika brought Blue
back in and finished her with a Michinoku Driver to get the
pinfall! Maika claimed the final spot in the TBS
Championship Survival of the Fittest this Wednesday on
Dynamite!


The Buy-In: AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship Match:
Divine Dominion ("Colossal" Lena Kross and "Megasus" Megan
Bayne) (c) def. Thunder Rosa & Olympia


This was the first of five championship matches tonight and
the first shot at the AEW Women’s World Tag Team
Championship for Thunder Rosa and Olympia. Rosa attacked
Kross at the bell, but Kross pushed her into the corner.
Rosa fought back with strikes and chops, but Kross shook
them off for a big shoulder block. Bayne tagged in, but Rosa
threw strikes at both to stop a double-team. Rosa tagged
Olympia, and they hit stereo flying headscissors to send
both members of Divine Dominion to the floor. Rosa went to
the top rope and took out Bayne and Kross with an impactful
tornillo! Olympia came off the top with a springboard
crossbody to the floor!

Rosa put Bayne in the corner and followed with some strikes,
but when she backed up to charge in, Bayne dropped her onto
the apron. Kross grabbed Rosa’s foot so that Bayne could
boot Rosa off the apron. Bayne put Rosa in her corner and
was relentless with shoulder thrusts. She tagged Kross, who
put Rosa on her shoulders and sent her face-first into the
top turnbuckle. Kross tagged Bayne back in for more shoulder
thrusts and a corner splash. She tagged Kross again, who
floored Rosa with a basement clothesline. Bayne covered for
a two-count. Rosa hit a jawbreaker on Kross and sent her
over the top to the floor with a low bridge. Rosa tried to
make a tag, but Bayne grabbed her leg. Rosa kicked free and
sent Bayne to the floor. Kross came back in, but Rosa ducked
two shots and tagged Olympia! 

Olympia hit two big strikes on Kross and dropkicked her to
the corner. With Kross sitting down, Olympia charged in and
clicked her heels on a headstand before swinging forward
with a nasty pair of boots to the face and chest! Olympia
put Kross on her shoulder and did some squats before
dropping her to the mat to get a nearfall. Olympia tagged
Rosa back in, but Kross pulled them into each other and
tagged Bayne. Rosa hit Kross with a lungblower, and Olympia
dropped Bayne with a fireman’s carry front slam. Olympia
sprung off Kross in the corner for a moonsault back onto
Bayne! Rosa jumped off Olympia’s back for a shotgun dropkick
on Kross! Olympia hit a springboard splash on Bayne for a
two-count. Olympia tagged Rosa, but Bayne ran her into the
corner and hit a front suplex. Kross tagged in with a big
running clothesline, so Olympia broke up the pin. Bayne
tagged back in, but she missed a clothesline, and Rosa
dropkicked her to the ropes. Kross flatted Rosa with a pump
kick, so Olympia put Kross down with a clothesline, only to
get taken out by a flying clothesline from Bayne! 

Olympia and Kross fought back to their feet until Kross
nailed Olympia with a thrust kick. Bayne tagged in and
missed a clothesline, so Olympia ran up to the top
turnbuckle, where Bayne met her. Bayne came off the top with
a hurricanrana to Olympia! Rosa flew off a different corner
to nail Bayne with a missile dropkick. Rosa unloaded on
Kross, but Kross turned it around and grabbed Rosa for
Bayne. But Rosa moved, and Bayne took out Kross with a
flying boot! Rosa kicked Bayne into the corner and tagged
Olympia, who put Bayne on the top turnbuckle and gorilla-
pressed her all the way to the mat. Rosa hit a diving foot
stomp from the top, but Kross was there to break up the pin.
Bayne got Rosa up for a powerbomb, but Rosa reversed it into
a nearfall! Bayne dropped Rosa with Fate’s Decent, but
Olympia broke up the pin. Bayne and Kross hit a German
Suplex/Big Boot combo on Olympia. Kross tagged in, and
Divine Dominion finished Rosa with Divine Intervention for
the pinfall victory!

3-Way Tag Match: Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) def.
Unbound Co. (Shingo Takagi and Titán) and El Sky Team (CMLL
World Trios & ROH World Tag Team Champions Místico and
Máscara Dorada) 


We opened Forbidden Door with a tremendous international
three-way tag team showdown. Just days after winning the ROH
World Tag Team Titles in CMLL, Místico and Dorada got a
massive ovation from San Jose. Titán and Místico shook hands
at the bell, but Titán immediately dropkicked Místico to the
mat. Misticio came off the ropes with a crossbody and then a
tejeras to send Misticio into the corner. He hit Titán with
a gamengiri and springboard diving hurricanrana. Dorada and
Matt tagged in with the two trading reversals in and out of
the ring that saw plenty of amazing athleticism, but neither
man connected! The fans loved what they saw and chanted “A-
E-W!”

Nick made a blind tag, and Matt launched him into Dorada and
then into Takagi for a dropkick. Matt powerbombed Dorada
into the corner, and Nick came up with a gamagiri to the
back of the head. Matt slingshotted Dorada back up into
another gamagiri from Nick, who immediately went up top for
a foot stomp to Dorada on Matt’s knees! The Bucks sent
Dorada to the ropes, but he came back with a springboard
crossbody, which they caught. However, Dorada flipped out
and sent Matt to the ropes with an armdrag followed by a
spinning enzuigiri to Nick. Dorada showed some inventive
offense with a double armdrag springboard to the Bucks! 

Takagi tagged in and faced off with Dorada. They pushed each
other, and Takagi blocked an arm drag by chucking Dorada to
the mat and followed with an elbow drop. Dorada came back
with a headscissors takeover, but when he came back off the
ropes, Takagi dropped him with a stiff shoulder tackle.
Takagi tagged Titán, and they double-teamed Dorada with
chops on the ropes. Titán tripped Dorada and ran around the
ring while Takagi picked Dorada up for a suplex, and Titán
followed with a springboard splash to get a two-count.
Dorada pushed Titán into Takagi and nailed Titán with a
thrust kick. He tagged Místico, who flew off the top with a
hurricanrana to Takagi. He took hold of Titán’s arm and used
some nifty footwork on the ropes to send Titán to the floor
with a spectacular armdrag. The Bucks came in, and Matt
launched Nick into a hurricanrana on Místico. Dorada came
in, and Nick flipped Dorada into Matt, but Dorada reversed
it into a hurricanrana! Nick dropped Dorada on the top rope,
and Matt nailed him with a superkick. Matt assisted Nick to
the top rope, where he flew off with a hurricanrana to
Dorada! 

Titán ducked under a pair of superkicks from the Bucks and
sent them to the floor with a double hurricanrana! Titán
went up top, but Dorada tried to stop him with a gamagiri.
Titán knocked him back to the apron and immediately took a
pair of gamangiris from Místico. Dorada charged at Místico,
who launched him up to Titán for a hurricanrana to the floor
that took out the Bucks and Takagi! Dorada was first to his
feet!

Místico tagged Dorada, and they isolated Titán in the corner
with a pair of clotheslines. Dorada popped up Titán into a
powerslam, and Místico flew off the top with a senton
atomico! Dorada covered, but only got a two-count. Titán hit
Dorada with a jawbreaker and tagged Matt. Dorada sent Matt
to the corner, but when he charged, Matt put him on the
apron. Dorada knocked Nick to the floor and went up top for
a tornillo. Still, Matt caught him and transitioned into
Locomotion Northern Lights Suplexes, including a double
variation at the end when Titán tried to get involved. Matt
tried to lift Takagi, but he wasn’t able to, and Takagi
blasted him with a back elbow and a DDT. Takagi dragged
Dorada to the corner to officially tag in and immediately
threw Dorada to the outside. Takagi held Matt for Titán, who
came off the top with a leg drop! Titán covered, but Matt
kicked out at two! Takagi tagged Titán, and they threw Matt
to the corner, but Matt fought them both off and ran up to
Takagi while holding Titán for a Sliced Bread! Matt feigned
a superkick on Takagi, who ducked, so Matt dropped him with
a DDT. Nick tagged in and took on both Takagi and Titán. He
grabbed Titán’s hand and hopped over a charging Takagi, only
to nail him with a superkick and run up the ropes to come
down with a headscissors on Takagi as he sent Titán to the
mat with an armdrag!

Místico tagged Nick, who came in with a diving crossbody on
the Bucks, followed by a double armdrag from the ropes. El
Sky Team nailed the Bucks with a stereo swinging pendulum
kick in the ropes. Dorada kicked Titán off the apron, and
Místico came off the top with a springboard crossbody to the
outside. Dorada got on the second rope and hit a shooting
star press to the floor! All six men were down, but Dorada
got to his feet first. He threw Titán back in, but Titán
charged back at him, so Dorada caught him with a shoulder to
the midsection. Titán rolled Dorada over back to his feet,
and Nick nailed Dorada with a superkick. He hit Titán with a
superkick, but Dorada came back with one of his own for
Nick! Takagi ate superkicks from Nick and Dorada, but walked
through that with a double clothesline. Místico and Matt hit
double superkicks on Takagi, but he double clotheslined
them, too! 

San Jose was loving it!

Finally, El Sky Team and the Young Bucks all superkicked
Takagi to take him down, finally! Then, they did the same to
Titán. Matt hit a Canadian Destroyer on Místico. Dorada hit
a Canadian Destroyer on Matt! Nick came over the top with a
Canadian Destroyer on Dorada! All six men were down, and the
crowd gave them a standing ovation! 

Takagi got up and hit running corner clotheslines on Nick,
Matt and Dorada, but when he charged at Místico, he ate the
turnbuckle when Místico slipped away and hit a pair of kicks
to the head. Místico put Takagi up top and brought the
larger Takagi down with an Avalanche Spanish Fly! 1-2-Matt
breaks it up with a top-rope elbow! Titán double-stomped
Matt from the top! Nick hit Titán with a 450 Splash! Dorada
nailed a shooting star press to Titán and Nick! Místico and
Takagi started slugging it out, and then he managed to lock
in La Mistica! The Bucks broke it up! Titán nailed Místico
from behind with a kick to the back of the hamstring.

Takagi popped Místico up into a knee from Titán. Takagi hit
a Pumping Bomber on Místico and tagged Titán, who vaulted
off Takagi for a tornado DDT and then handed him off to
Takagi for Made in Japan! Titán came off the top with a
diving stomp to Místico! Nick broke up the pin with a
superkick to Titán and then another to Takagi. The Bucks
slugged it out with Titán and Takagi until they took Titán
down with superkicks. Takagi fought back, but ran into a
superkick from Dorada. Takagi caught Dorada’s crossbody
attempt and turned into a pair of superkicks from the Bucks.
Titán fought out of the corner and dove onto Dorada and
Nick. Dorada threw Titán to the Bucks, but Nick handed Titán
off to Matt and clobbered Dorada with a superkick! Nick went
to the apron and kicked Takagi before flipping through the
air to spike Titán on the tombstone piledriver. The Bucks
covered Titán for the three-count and won! What a match!


Kenny Omega def. Zack Sabre Jr.


Omega and ZSJ rolled around on the mat at the bell with
neither man gaining an advantage. They continued to grapple
with clasped fingers until Sabre booted Omega into the
corner. He twisted Omega’s neck between his feet and
dropkicked Omega in the back. Sabre hit a running uppercut
in the corner, but when he tried for another, Omega was
ready with a pair of boots to the face. Omega took ZSJ to
the floor with a hurricanrana and followed up with a
crossbody! Omega tried to continue the damage around the
barricade, but ZSJ manipulated Omega’s fingers. Omega
chopped back, and ZSJ fell to his knees. Omega slammed ZSJ
off the commentary desk multiple times before putting the
top of the desk on the downed ZSJ and stomping it from the
apron! Omega quickly brought ZSJ onto the Spanish commentary
desk, but Sabre fought him off and locked in an octopus hold
while standing on the desk! The two spilled to the floor,r
and Sabre replaced the top of the desk, much to the chagrin
of the San Jose crowd. 

Sabre pulled Omega up to the apron and stomped his right
arm. ZSJ mockingly kicked Omega’s arm and wrenched it before
sending Omega to the corner. He blasted Omega with multiple
uppercuts, so Omega chopped him, but ZSJ unloaded to send
Omega back into the corner. He hit a running boot and backed
up to try another, but Omega followed him in with a boot of
his own! Omega slammed ZSJ to the mat with a leg lariat to
the back of the head and a hooking clothesline that sent
Sabre bailing to the floor. He didn’t have a chance to rest
because Omega flew over the top with a tope con hilo,
crushing Sabre! Back in the ring, Omega hit Sabre with a
missile dropkick to the back and covered him for a nearfall.
Omega dropped Sabre’s neck over his knee, which made Sabre
grab his trap in pain. 

Omega pointed at ZSJ for the V-Trigger, but Sabre grabbed
his arm and wrenched it over his own shoulder. The two threw
some major strikes in the middle of the ring until Omega
floated over Sabre and dropped him with a Snap Dragon
suplex! He followed with a second and punished Sabre with a
barrage of strikes and knees to the body. Omega covered for
a two-count. Omega pulled Sabre up for another Snap Dragon,
but ZSJ rolled through for a near-fall! Omega got out of it
and tried a choke and then a cross armbreaker, but Sabre got
out and hit a couple of PKs to Omega’s chest as Omega asked
for more! ZSJ obliged, but Omega caught it and tried another
Snap Dragon, only for Sabre to reverse it into a submission
on Omega’s arm. Omega broke the hold by getting to the
ropes, so Sabre stomped on Omega’s fingers. They exchanged
shots in the middle of the ring with Omega seeming to get
the better of it, but when he tried to lift Sabre, he
couldn’t because of the damage done to his fingers. Sabre
hit a pair of kicks, but got blasted by an Omega clothesline
on a third attempt! Omega put Sabre in the corner and hit a
V-Trigger to send Sabre into the second turnbuckle. Omega
brought Sabre to the top rope for an avalanche One-Winged
Angel, but Sabre turned it into a rear-naked choke, which
Omega broke by falling backwards to the mat! What a brutal
landing!

Omega hit a pair of big knee strikes to a kneeling Sabre,
but on the third attempt, Sabre caught it and tried for an
ankle lock. Omega kicked free, so Sabre came back with a
running kick to his bad arm. Omega hit a bicycle knee and
sent ZSJ to the ropes for another between-the-shoulder
blades. Omega spiked him with a poisonrana! 1-2-Sabre kicked
out! Omega called for a V-Trigger, but Sabre avoided it and
captured Omega in a pin attempt with a bridge and nearly won
the match! Omega chopped Sabre and stuck him with a stump
piledriver! Omega connected on a V-Trigger in the ropes! He
put Sabre on his shoulders for a One-Winged Angel, but Sabre
slipped down and captured Omega’s arms for another bridging
pin and another two-count!

Omega ran into a Michinoku Driver, but kicked out at two!
Sabre twisted Omega’s fingers, but that quickly devolved
into a slap battle until Omega slipped behind for a Snap
Dragon and V-Trigger! He pulled Sabre back up for a One-
Winged Angel, and the crowd came to their feet, but Sabre
slipped down into a cross armbreaker! He tried to turn it
into a triangle, but Omega slammed him to break the hold!
Omega pulled Sabre into a huge knee strike and lifted Sabre
once again for the One-Winged Angel and connected! Omega
pinned Sabre for the hard-fought victory!


AEW Continental Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) of the
Death Riders def. ROH World Champion Bandido


Moxley seemed especially fired up as he made his way through
the crowd for his custom entrance. Moxley tried to control
Bandido on the mat in the early going, but Bandido escaped
and aimed his finger at Moxley. Moxley escaped Bandido and
flipped him off. Bandido helped the crowd chant towards
Moxley, who responded by flipping them off. Moxley shrugged
off a shoulder block, and when Bandido dropped down, Moxley
rolled through Bandido's legs with a very lucha-like
evasion! Bandido seemed impressed as Moxley presented a
different aspect of his game. Mox drew an imaginary line in
the middle of the ring and told Bandido to hit him. Bandido
chopped Mox, so Mox fired back, and the exchange was on!
Bandido dropkicked Moxley to the apron and tried for a dive,
but Moxley rolled back in and tripped Bandido to the floor.
Instead, it was Moxley who hit a huge dive through the
ropes! Lucha Mox?

Moxley threw Bandido back in, but he took too long to
follow, and Bandido flew over the top with a tope con hilo
that nailed Moxley! Bandido threw him back in and sent Mox
to the corner, but when he charged after, Moxley lifted
himself to hit a pair of boots on Bandido’s skull. Moxley
threw Bandido to the floor and pulled out the steel steps.
He hit Bandido with a piledriver on top of the steps!
Bandido appeared to hit the corner of the steps on the way
down! Moxley returned to the ring to break the count and
returned to the floor, where Bandido was bleeding from his
scalp and forehead! Moxley bit at the wound and ripped at
Bandido’s mask. He threw Bandido back in the ring and ripped
a piece of the mask off! Moxley waited for Bandido to get up
and kept kicking him back to the mat. Bandido threw a weak
chop, so Moxley flattened him with a short-arm clothesline.
Mox unloaded on Bandido with a barrage of elbow strikes to
the cut and then mounted him in the corner for punches.
Bandido fought out of it and threw Moxley across the ring
with a powerbomb!

They exchanged strikes, and Mox bit the wound, which sent
Bandido into the corner. Moxley followed after and ate a
boot. Bandido jumped to the top rope and came off with a
tornillo to Mox! Bandido hit a pair of flying forearms and
mounted Moxley for 10 punches in the corner and then a
dropkick. Bandido connected on a Shining Wizard for a two-
count! Moxley came off the ropes right into a gorilla press
slam from Bandido! He went up top and shimmied, but came
down on Moxley’s knees on the frog splash attempt. They
exchanged boots until Bandido hit a snap German Suplex and
Moxley crawled to the ropes. Bandido tried for a 21 Plex,
but Mox was ready for it and clobbered him with a lariat!
Moxley picked up Bandido and nailed a Death Rider, but
Bandido kicked out! Moxley took aim at Bandido and dragged
him to the top rope, but Bandido fought free of his grasp
and bit Moxley in the head! Bandido brought Moxley off the
top with a Super Revolutionary Fly! 1-2-Moxley kicked out!

Bandido tried for a 21 Plex, but Moxley launched him over
the top rope and grabbed a choke on the apron! Moxley pulled
him back in the ring, but Bandido rolled over him for a
near-fall! Moxley held on and transitioned into the Bulldog
Choke. Mox added some crossface shots, but Bandido stood up
and tried to fall back on Moxley to break the hold. Moxley
didn’t let go, and Bandido was forced to submit! Moxley did
some push-ups to show he still had plenty in the tank and
then laid the AEW Continental Championship on the mat and
shook Bandido’s hand. Bandido bowed his head, and Moxley
left through the crowd, passing Marina Shafir, Claudio
Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia on the way out.
That’s because PAC was up next!


IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship Match: Shota Umino (c)
def. PAC


PAC had a brand new look with a short singlet and boots, as
he slapped hands with the Death Riders on his way to the
ring. At the bell, PAC quickly kicked Umino into the corner
and threw him to the outside. He threw Umino into a couple
of barricades, then slammed him to the floor before throwing
him into another barricade. They returned to the ring, where
PAC hit a dropkick from the top rope for a two-count. Umino
fought out of a headlock and shook off a boot from PAC to
hit a big dropkick. Umino and PAC exchanged blows in the
corner with Umino getting the better of it before sending
PAC to the opposite corner. He followed with a running
uppercut and a fisherman’s suplex to get a near-fall. 

PAC backdropped Umino, who rolled through it into a pin
attempt for a two. Umino sent PAC into the second rope and
jumped over the top to slam PAC’s head into the apron! OUCH!
Umino took the time to slap hands with fans while PAC
remained down. Umino threw PAC in, so he rolled out the
other side. Umino fired up the crowd and ran around the ring
to dropkick PAC into the barricade. He put PAC on the
barricade and dropped him with a draping DDT! Umino threw
PAC in and hit a powerbomb for a two-count! PAC looked out
of it. Umino rushed at PAC, but PAC was ready and sent Umino
into the turnbuckles with a dangerous overhead throw! PAC
stomped Umino in the corner and went outside to get a table.
Umino stopped him and set up the table himself.

Umino turned into a thrust kick from PAC, who then went up
to the apron and came flying back down with a springboard
moonsault! PAC threw Umino back in and brought him to the
top rope. PAC threw Umino all the way to the mat with an
avalanche, overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Umino kicked out
at two! PAC was not happy that it didn’t get the job done.
PAC taunted the crowd and then Umino, asking him to hit him.
PAC shook off Umino’s shots and threw much bigger shots to
knock Umino down. PAC taunted Umino with more kicks, and
each one seemed to anger Umino more. Umino got back to his
feet and stayed with PAC on a big strike exchange until PAC
hit a kick to the gut. Umino fired back with a forearm that
staggered PAC to the mat. PAC pulled himself up on the
ropes, so Umino charged, but PAC moved and used the momentum
of the ropes to throw Umino over his head with a German
Suplex. Umino shook it off with fighting spirit! He charged
at PAC again and again and was dropped with a German Suplex.
Umino tried to fight through again, but collapsed. PAC
picked up Umino, and Awesome Bombed him over the top rope to
the floor through the table! 

PAC threw Umino back in and hit a 450 Splash! Umino kicked
out, but PAC immediately locked on The Brutalizer! Umino got
his foot on the ropes to break the hold,d and PAC held on
until the referee nearly made it to five. PAC went up top
again and jumped over Umino, who came back with an elbow to
PAC and then a headbutt! Umino waited for PAC to get back up
and connected with a Strike Knee! That could do it! PAC
kicked out at two! Umino called for a lariat, but PAC
reversed it into a poisonrana! Umino blocked one kick, but
not the second. PAC ran at him, so Umino shoved him into the
air and bounced off the ropes for a huge lariat! 1-2-PAC
kicked out! Umino hit a Paradigm Shift! He picked PAC back
up and hit Second Chapter to get the pinfall victory!

After the match, Jon Moxley got in the ring, and Umino
backed into his former mentor. They stared each other down
until NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi started making his
way down the aisle! Moxley decided to leave before Tanahashi
got into the ring. Tanahashi gestured at Umino and Moxley,
indicating he was proposing a possible match. Moxley and the
Death Riders left, and Tanahashi strapped the IWGP Global
Heavyweight Championship onto Umino and raised his hand in
celebration!


AEW Women’s World Championship Match: “The Toxic Spider”
Thekla (c) def. Starlight Kid


The champion had a very special entrance, complete with
firebreathers! Starlight Kid used her quickness to send
Thekla to the outside at the jump, so Thekla collected
herself and came back in to pound and kick her to the mat.
Thekla pulled at Kid’s mask, but Kid came back and hauled
off on Thekla with a barrage of punches. Kid choked Thekla
on the mat and kicked her to the ropes. Thekla turned it
around and hung in the ropes, but Kid didn’t let her stay
there long and kicked her to the floor. Thekla backed away
when Kid charged to the ropes, so Kid adjusted and went to
the apron. Thekla saw it and pulled Kid down to the floor in
an awkward landing. Thekla threw Kid into the barricade on
her knees!  Thekla mounted Kid between the barricades and
unloaded with punches. Thekla ran Kid into another barricade
in front of STARDOM President Taro Okada! Okada stood up,
and Thekla got in his face, grabbing him by the tie! She
went to hit him, but Kid grabbed her hand. Kid hit an open-
handed shot, which angered Thekla, who unloaded on Kid with
kicks and threw her back in the ring. 

Thekla put a knee on Kid for a cocky pin, but Kid kicked out
at two. Thekla taunted the crowd and threw Kid across the
ring by her hair. Kid cartwheeled out of Thekla’s grasp for
a moment, but Thekla stomped her to the mat. Thekla
snapmared Kid to the mat and thrust-kicked her in the head
to get a near-fall. Thekla ripped at Kid’s mask as Kid
ripped at Thekla’s hair in desperation. Thekla sent Kid to
the ropes, but she jumped off the middle and hit a
crossbody! Kid put a foot on Thekla in her own cocky cover,
but Thekla kicked out. Kid hit a standing moonsault for a
near-fall. Kid picked up Thekla’s leg and legdropped her
knee! Kid wrenched Thekla’s knee on the ropes and hit a
dragon screw. Kid tried to lock in the Numero Dos, but
Thekla broke it by pulling at Kid’s mask. Kid rushed at
Thekla at the ropes, but ran right into a boot, and Thekla
pulled her over the ropes in a painful submission. She let
go and went up top, but Kid ran up and brought her down with
an arm drag.

Kid went up, but this time, Thekla met her with a big right
hand. Thekla dropped Kid hard with a Spider Suplex, although
she celebrated for too long, and Kid hit a springboard
dropkick that knocked Thekla to the floor! Kid grabbed
Thekla on the apron and tried for a Tiger Suplex, but Thekla
broke free with a strike. Thekla rushed at Kid for a spear,
but ran into a knee instead! That was nasty! Kid dropped
Thekla neck-first on the apron with Divine Punishment! Back
in the ring, Kid trapped Thekla in a Fisherman’s Suplex for
a near-fall. Kid went up top and missed a moonsault, as
Thekla barely got out of the way in time. Thekla nailed a
spear! She tried for a stomp, but missed and collapsed in
pain because of the previous damage done to her knee. Kid
came off the ropes with a kick to Thekla’s lower back.

Kid and Thekla stood up from their knees, although they were
clearly feeling the effects of this hard-hitting affair. Kid
unloaded on Thekla with forearms and slapped her across the
face. Kid charged at Thekla but took a big forearm strike.
Thekla hit a running boot to Kid near the ropes and another
from the apron. Thekla went up and nailed a diving crossbody
for a near-fall. Thekla went into her spider walk and tried
for a spear, but Kid kicked her in the bad knee. Kid pulled
Thekla into Numero Dos to target the knee and added a swing
for good measure! Kid kept the submission locked in and even
captured the head until Thekla finally made it to the bottom
rope to break the hold. Kid hit another Divine Punishment in
the middle of the ring, but Thekla kicked out to stay alive!
Kid went back up top and connected with a second moonsault
attempt! 1-2-Thekla kicked out!

“THIS IS AWESOME!”

Starlight Kid tried for another Tiger Suplex, but Thekla
rolled out of it and into a bridging pin that nearly won the
match out of nowhere. Kid rushed at Thekla, who matrixed out
of the way and hit a spear! 1-2-Starlight Kid kicked out!
Thekla couldn’t believe it! Thekla hit a nasty stomp on the
back of Kid’s neck, but got in her face and said it’s not
over! She pointed at Okada in the front row and stomped Kid
again before pinning her for the victory! Thekla retains her
AEW Women’s World Championship!

Skye Blue and Julia Hart joined Thekla in the ring and gave
her a pair of scissors! Thekla cut off and took Starlight
Kid’s mask! The referee quickly covered up Kid, and Thekla
spat on the mask! She took the mask to the outside and
shoved it in Okada’s face before slapping him across the
face with it until he fell to the floor. Thekla posed with
the mask and the rest of Triangle of Madness.


AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Christian Cage & Adam
Copeland (c) def. The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay)


The Dogs had their own paparazzi, who photographed their
five-second poses with a disposable camera until they beat
them all up on the way to the ring. Cope got his usual
serenade from the crowd for his entrance, and Cage was his
usual surly self. 

Cage and Connors opened the match, and Cage escaped an early
cheap shot from Connors in the corner and responded by
flipping him off. Connors unloaded on Cage in the corner and
sent him to the opposite side. Cage put on the brakes and
hit a back kick before springboard sunset flip nearly got
him a three-count on Connors. Cope and Finlay tagged in,
with Cope controlling Finlay with a headlock on the mat.
Cope seemed to be a step ahead of Finlay and tagged Cage.
They hit a double-team reverse DDT on Finlay, and Cage sent
a rushing Connors right into Finlay’s groin. Cage mounted
Connors in the corner for punches, then turned his attention
to Finlay, who begged off. Connors tried to attack from
behind, but Cage was ready for it and nailed him and then
Finlay. 

Cage charged at Connors in the corner, but missed and hit
the ring post before crashing to the floor. Connors targeted
Cage’s fractured arm and threw him into the ring post on the
outside. Finlay brought Cage back in and tried for a pin,
but only got a one. He continued the attack on Cage’s arm
and kicked him to the mat in the corner. Connors tagged in
and hit a kick to the bad arm. Cage tried to break free of
Connors’ relentless attack on the arm, but only did when
Finlay tagged in and Cage backdropped him. Finlay stopped
Cage’s tag attempt and wrenched Cage’s arm into the mat. 

Finlay stepped on the bad arm and brought Cage to the
corner, with Cage down on the turnbuckle. Finlay distracted
the referee so Connors could burn Cage with a lit match!
Cage fought out of the corner and nearly made the tag, but
Connors pulled Cope off the apron. Finlay pulled Cage to the
outside and slammed his arm on the steel steps. The Dogs
trapped Cage’s bad arm under the stairs, and Finlay stepped
on it while Connors ran down the apron to try to inflict
more damage, but Cope knocked him off the apron to the floor
and then nailed Finlay! Cope threw Cage into the ring and
returned to the corner for a tag, but Finaly grabbed Cage’s
leg so Cage raked his eyes and tagged Cope! He unloaded on
The Dogs and nailed Finlay with an elevated DDT for a near-
fall! Cope measured Finlay for a spear, but missed and ran
into the second turnbuckle. The Dogs ran through him with a
double shoulder block. 

The Dogs measured for a high/low attack, but Cage pulled
Connors out of the ring and threw him into the announce
desk. Back in the ring, Cage stopped Finlay with a kick and
sent him into the ropes, where Cage stood on Finlay's back.
Cope followed up with a crossbody to Finlay’s back, but when
Cage tried to leap down to hit Finlay from the floor,
Connors grabbed him and ran him into the barricade. Cope
chased Connors back into the ring and walked right into a
spear/chop block combo. Finlay covered for a near-fall.
Connors went up top for the Full Clip, and Finlay lifted
Cope for a suplex, but Cope blocked it and suplexed Finlay
into the turnbuckles, which knocked Connors to the floor! 

Cope lined up Finlay for a spear, but Finlay got his knee up
and stunned Cope. Finlay ran at Cope, who launched him into
a spear from Cage! Connors shoved Cage into the referee to
stop his count. The referee stayed down as Cope and Connors
measured each other from opposite corners. They collided in
the middle of the ring with spears! Finlay smashed his
shillelagh across Cage’s skull and measured Cope to do the
same, but the lights went out!

A spotlight came back up on Bang Bang Gang on top of the
ramp! But then we heard a familiar switchblade sound go off,
and when all the lights came back on, JAY WHITE WAS IN THE
MIDDLE OF THE RING! The crowd came unglued! 

Finlay turned around and charged at White, but ended up on
the mat thanks to a Blade Runner!  Cope smiled as White
exited the ring with “HOLY SHIT” chants ringing throughout
the arena! Cope speared Finlay, and White rolled the referee
back in to make the three count! Cage and Cope retain! White
brought the AEW World Tag Team Titles into the ring and
handed them to the champs. Cope was happy, but White and
Cage had words until Cope got between them. White left and
celebrated with Bang Bang Gang, with Cage and Cope
celebrated in the ring!


Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Finals: Mercedes
Moné def. Maya World


World was accompanied by her tag partner, Hyan, to the top
of the ramp before continuing to the ring by herself. Moné
made her way to the ring in appropriate pink-and-black
attire, as she looked to be the first person to repeat as
tournament champion. 

Moné piefaced World, so World responded with one of her own,
but when Moné took a wild swing, World caught her for three
quick pin attempts. World kept escaping Moné’s offense with
cartwheels and even did the CEO dance to mock Moné. Moné
charged, and World sent her to the mat with a drop toehold.
World avoided Moné near the ropes and Moné spilled to the
floor. World flipped off the apron with a cannonball that
nailed Moné! World tried to throw her back in, but Moné
swung back around with a kick. Back in the ring, World
nearly put the Statement Maker on Moné! Moné didn’t like
that and threw World to the outside. Moné threw World back
inside and tried a pin, but World bridged out of it, so Moné
threw her right back on the mat by her hair. 

Moné got caught by World in the corner and brought her to
the opposite side for a small package into a suplex for a
two-count! That’s some innovation! World went up top, so
Moné followed, and they exchanged blows until Moné knocked
World to the apron and came down with a meteora. Moné ran
down the apron with a second meteora to World on the floor.
Moné threw World back in and came off the middle rope with a
third meteora for a near-fall! Moné used a pair of snapmares
to position World for another meteora, which connected, but
World escaped again. Moné threw World to the floor and
taunted her from the ring. Moné counted along with the crowd
until nine and threw World back in the ring. She taunted the
crowd some more with a victory lap before returning to the
ring. Moné hit a straightjacket backstabber and held on for
extra pressure. World tried to block it by running Moné into
the corner, but Moné threw World into the turnbuckles and
choked her with a boot. Moné tried to springboard her way
into a dropkick, but World kicked free and rolled up Moné
for another near-fall!

World threw Moné to the corner, and the two traded reversals
until Moné rolled through a tombstone attempt to stomp World
on the chest! Moné covered for a two-count. Moné yelled at
World, “You’ll never be me!” That fired World up, and she
unloaded on Moné with forearms. Moné caught one, so World
dropped down for an upkick. World stomped Moné in the chest!
World hit a quick three-kick combo and a flying boot before
a springboard bulldog got her another near-fall! World laid
out Moné with a Shining Wizard, but was too close to the
ropes for a pin attempt. Moné kicked World away, and when
World came back at her, Moné tripped her into the ropes. 

Moné began the Three Amigos and connected with all of them!
She stepped over World and went up top for a Frog Splash,
but World got the knees up and tried a small package for a
two-count! World missed a big right hand, andMonée snatched
her to the mat with the Statement Maker! World got to the
ropes with her foot, but pushed off and swung back over Moné
for a surprise nearfall! Moné missed a wild swing, and World
hit a discus elbow. World grabbed Moné for a fallaway slam,
but hung on and did it three times with the third sending
Moné through the ropes to the floor! World dove through the
ropes and connected with Moné! World went up top and nailed
a senton bomb for yet another near-fall!  

Moné came out of the corner with an upkick and sat on the
top turnbuckle. She switched positions and tried to pull
World into the top turnbuckle with her feet, but World
blocked it and trapped Moné’s head for a thrust kick. World
backed up and charged up the ropes to bring Moné down with a
springboard sunset flip powerbomb, but Moné held on to the
top rope to block it. Moné tried to lift World twice, but
World stopped it, so Moné just threw her into the
turnbuckles. Moné charged across the ring and nailed a
sunset bomb into the corner, followed by another meteora!
Moné covered, and World kicked out at two! 

Moné picked up World for a lungblower and started kneeing
World in the head and shoulders, but World reversed the
momentum into a hurricanrana! World andMonée rolled through
pin attempts until Moné picked up World and hit the Moné
Maker! 1-2-World kicked out! Moné was angry and stunned!
Moné tried for another Moné Maker, but World escaped and
bridged back to trap Moné for a pin, but she kicked out at
two. World blocked Moné’s backstabber attempt by holding
onto the ropes and then flinging Moné to the apron. World
ran down the apron and planted Moné on the floor with a
sunset flip powerbomb! World hit a second-rope moonsault on
Moné and threw her back in the ring. World connected on a
moonsault from the top, but Moné kicked out just in time!

World charged at Moné, but Moné rolled her into a pin
attempt, and World kicked out to transition right into her
own Statement Maker! Monée clawed for the ropes, but World
rolled her back to the middle only for Moné to roll through
that into her own Statement Maker! World fought for the
ropes, and when she got close, Moné rolled her back into a
pin attempt that got a two-count. World switched that into a
pin attempt of her own, andMonée kicked out at two! 

World tried for another fallaway slam, but Moné escaped and
hit a backstabber into a Statement Maker! World tapped out!
Moné is the first athlete to win TWO Owen Hart Foundation
Tournaments and has done so in back-to-back years! Moné
grabbed the Owen Hart Foundation Championship Belt and
celebrated in front of the Owen Cup as pyro went off with
Moné displayed on the video board as the official challenger
for the AEW Women’s World Title at All In: London in August!


ROH Women’s World Champion Athena Reacts to Moné’s Win Over
World


After the match, Renee Paquette caught up with ROH Women’s
World Champion Athena and asked for her reaction. Athena
said it was clear the better woman won, and she’s not
surprised. It’s all because of this paradox: she’s the
greatest champion of all time, but when it comes to her
pupils, they are filled with constant disappointment and
regret. Athena brought up World and said World thinks she’s
championship material because of the fluke victory over
Athena. Athena blamed a lapse in judgment for anyone knowing
who World is. She told World to keep fighting the good fight
and be the “It Girl” because when it comes to Athena, “It”
belongs at the back of the line!


12-Man Steel Cage Match: Team Briscoe (Mark Briscoe, AEW
World Trios Champions The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy,
Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly, AEW International
Champion Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin) def. Team DCMJF
(AEW World Champion MJF & Don Callis Family’s TNT Champion
“The Jet” Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika
Okada and Andrade El Ídolo) 


Before the team made their way out, the circular cage was
lowered around the ring all the way to the floor! There will
be no disqualifications and no escape because 12 men are
about to enter Death’s Door!

MJF entered first and waved out Don Callis, who tore off the
Team DCMJF shirt over his suit – or tried, anyway.
Amazingly, the rest of the team did wear the obnoxious
shirts featuring MJF and Callis. Team Briscoe came out next,
with Allin out first and Takeshita to follow and then
Briscoe with The Conglomeration. Everyone had a backpack of
some kind, although it looked like Roderick Strong had a
hockey bag full of who knows what? Allin went right to the
top of the cage with his own bag of danger. Allin climbed
down, and the door was shut and locked as Don Callis forced
Walker Stewart off commentary. 
 
All 12 men faced off at the bell and immediately brawled in
and out of the ring! Takeshita went right for Fletcher and
threw him into the cage. Back in the ring, Briscoe and
O’Reilly isolated MJF, who bailed to the floor. Briscoe
followed with a scissor kick through the ropes to Knight.
MJF came back in to nail Briscoe from behind. Doyle pulled
Allin off the cage and powerbombed him on the apron and
against the cage! Team DCMJF pulled out tables and began
setting them up on the floor, including one with the Team
DCMJF T-shirt logo of Callis and MJF. That’s madness!

MJF posed in the middle of the ring while all this was going
on, so Andrade stepped in front of him to a big cheer. MJF
didn’t like that and stepped back in front. Andrade got on
the ropes in front of MJF and started to take his pants off.
MJF pulled him down, and they got in a shoving match. The
rest of the team came to break it up, but didn’t see Strong
come in with the giant bag he brought into the cage. He
started swinging it at all of Team DCMJF until Okada knocked
him to the floor. Brisco and O’Reilly took Okada down and
retrieved their backpacks. O’Reilly had an NES! A winner is
him! He handed Briscoe a controller and kept one for himself
to whip Knight and Okada. Those old controllers have some
sharp corners, and Okada didn’t like it!
Fletcher got clotheslined by the controller cords! O’Reilly
picked up the NES and smashed it on Fletcher’s head! Game
over, ProtoStar!

Briscoe opened his backpack and emptied it, revealing
thumbtacks! Doyle came in to stop Briscoe and O’Reilly from
suplexing Fletcher onto the tacks. Briscoe threw Doyle to
the outside, and Strong tried to follow with double boots,
but when he continued to the floor, Doyle swung him back and
forth off the cage. Briscoe dove through the ropes onto
Doyle! Back in the ring, a blood-covered Fletcher lawn
darted O’Reilly into the middle turnbuckle. Briscoe went up
top, but Fletcher stopped him and threw him into the tacks!
Allin immediately attacked Fletcher with a skateboard. MJF
raked Allin’s eyes from behind, but Allin came back to knock
MJF towards the tacks. MJF backdropped Allin face-first onto
the tacks! MJF immediately covered, but Allin kicked out.
MJF kicked Allin out of the ring and then swept the mat
clean of tacks, which was definitely the first time MJF ever
helped clean a ring. He put the broom down to pose, and
Cassidy grabbed the broom from behind and lifted it straight
up into MJF’s Dynamite Diamonds. 

Cassidy pulled out a bunch of orange slices from his bag
with a note that said, “Good luck Tonight! Love, Willow!”
Team Briscoe each enjoyed some mid-match oranges to revive
their energy, but Fletcher slapped the bag away. Everyone
grabbed Fletcher and held him down as Cassidy squeezed the
citric acid into Fletcher’s open wounds. Full Pulp! Andrade
and Okada came in to clear the ring until Okada faced off
with Takeshita! Takeshita won a battle of strikes and
reached deep into his backpack to pull out a middle finger
for Okada! Okada swung at Takeshita but missed, so Takeshita
knocked him down with a big forearm. Fletcher took Takeshita
down with a half-and-half suplex and nailed a running boot
in the corner. He tried for a brainbuster, but Takeshita
floated over, so Okada grabbed Takeshita for a Rainmaker.
Takeshita ducked, and Okada pulled up before nailing
Fletcher. Takeshita pushed Okada into Fletcher, and then
Okada floated over Takeshita, as the two traded tombstone
reversals. Okada held Takeshita, and Fletcher tried to kick
him, but Takeshita ducked, and Fletcher nailed Okada
instead! Takeshita grabbed Fletcher from behind, and he
tried to get help from Okada, but Takeshita wound up German
Suplexing both at the same time! 

Knight came into the ring, but Allin entered on the other
side. They came to blows until Knight hammered Allin into
the corner. Allin fought back with a shotgun dropkick into a
Code Red! Allin went up for a Coffin Drop, but Doyle knocked
him off with a steel chair. With Allin down in the corner,
Doyle held the chair in front of him so Knight could hit a
coast-to-coast dropkick into the chair! 1-2-Briscoe makes
the save! Briscoe hit Knight with an exploder suplex to send
him from the ring, but MJF immediately threw a chair at
Briscoe’s head! MJF posed in the middle ropes and cleared
the ring of weapons. He ground his nails into Briscoe’s
bloody forehead and called for Okada to open up Strong’s
giant bag. Lio Rush was inside!

Rush bit Okada’s hand and got in the ring, where Okada
followed and was knocked back down by a handspring kick.
Knight hit the ring, and Rush kicked him away. Fletcher
rushed at Rush in the corner, but Rush ducked, and Fletcher
went flying over the top to the floor. Andrade came in and
argued with Rush before throwing him to the ropes, but Rush
rebounded with a stunner! Rush dove through the ropes with a
dive that knocked Knight into the cage. Rush got back in the
ring and saw MJF had put on the Dynamite Diamond Ring, which
completely drew his attention. That allowed Okada to come
from behind and nail Rush with a Rainmaker! They threw Rush
to the floor, and MJF told Knight and Doyle to put Rush back
in the bag. They did, and Doyle got a chain to wrap around
it, which they then shoved under the ring. 

Briscoe took out anyone who ran at him in the ring with ring
hands and then put a ladder around his neck to swing into
all his opponents, except MJF. Briscoe threw the ladder to
the floor and called MJF into the ring. They brawled, and
Briscoe had MJF hooked for the Jay Driller, but Doyle broke
it up. He fought with O’Reilly to the apron, where Strong
grabbed Doyle for a fireman’s carry slam, and O’Reilly
booted Doyle off to give Strong some help in putting Doyle
through the table!

Andrade stopped O’Reilly’s combo with a chair and kicked him
into the corner. Andrade put a chair in O’Reilly’s face and
crushed it with double knees, which only made O’Reilly’s
crimson mask worse. Takeshita spiked Andrade with a
poisonrana! Okada dropkicked Takeshita to the apron and
tried to pick him up for a tombstone, but Takeshita
backdropped him, and Okada landed hard! Takeshita nailed
Okada with a Power Drive knee, but turned into a thrust kick
from Fletcher. Fletcher tried for a brainbuster from the
apron through the table on the floor, but Takeshita reversed
it into a Blue Thunder Bomb through the table! That got
Callis off commentary to check on his Family.

Back in the ring, Briscoe had MJF hooked for another Jay
Driller attempt, but MJF escaped and kicked Briscoe low! MJF
measured Briscoe with the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Cassidy
stepped in front and put his hands in his pockets. MJF just
knocked him out! Allin came from behind and hit a Scorpion
Death Drop on MJF! Allin followed with a Coffin Drop and
connected! Knight went up for a UFO Splash to break it up,
but Allin moved, and Knight nailed MJF! Knight tried to get
away from Allin and leapt from the turnbuckles to the cage
and climbed to the top! Allin climbed after him, and the
chase was on from the top of the cage. Knight got to Allin’s
bag on top of the cage, but it blew up in his face,
literally, and he fell off the cage through a stack of DCMJF
tables! Allin boobytrapped the bag! Allin threw himself off
the cage onto everyone below with a Coffin Drop! There are
bodies everywhere!

Back in the ring, MJF backed up into Briscoe and was dropped
with a Jay Driller! Doyle makes the save in the nick of
time! Doyle ripped at Briscoe’s bloody face and smashed him
across the back with a chair. He tried to revive MJF, then
slammed Briscoe again. Doyle propped MJF up in the corner
and held Briscoe for him. MJF demanded that Andrade hold
Briscoe for him, but Andrade balked. He reluctantly held
Briscoe for MJF, but when MJF charged, Andrade let go of
Briscoe and dropped him with Día de los Muertos! Doyle
argued with Andrade and pushed him, so Andrade kicked him
low! He tore off the Team DCMJF shirt and revealed his own
creation: a shirt that read “F*** DON F*** MJF,” sending the
crowd into a frenzy. Callis called him a “turncoat piece of
trash” on commentary.

Briscoe got in the ring, and Andrade pointed him at MJF!
Briscoe hit the Jay Driller on MJF! Briscoe pinned MJF and
got the pinfall! Team Briscoe wins, and Mark Briscoe will
get a shot at MJF’s AEW World Championship! Team Briscoe
celebrated in the ring as Andrade left alone up the ramp. It
appears his time in the Don Callis Family is over. Cassidy
and Strong pulled the bag from under the ring and dragged
him up the ramp, being careful not to let him out. 

After seeing another comeback update on Willow Nightingale,
Lexy Nair caught up with a bloodied, but victorious Mark
Briscoe in the back. She asked how it feels to secure his
shot at the AEW World Title. Briscoe said he’s not wasting
any time, and he wants MJF for the AEW World Title this
Wednesday on Dynamite!


Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament Final: Will Ospreay
def. Swerve Strickland


Before the main event, we saw a video package on Ospreay’s
return and training narrated by Jon Moxley. When it was
over, security removed a hood from a kneeling figure at the
top of the ramp. It was Ospreay in a Bane-inspired mask and
attire. Perhaps a message to Swerve for what he can expect
in this match. Swerve entered on a motorcycle from the side
of the stage and was accompanied by Prince Nana. After the
Tournament Final introductions, the bell rang, and both men
met in the middle of the ring in a flurry of strikes as the
crowd went wild!

They each tried some of their strongest moves, but knew each
other well enough to avoid everything until Swerve bailed to
the floor to regroup. Swerve tried to get in the ring, but
Ospreay attacked right away, so Swerve backed off. Ospreay
had had enough and went outside to throw Swerve back in, but
it was a mistake as Swerve immediately stomped Ospreay in
the back of the head. Ospreay came back with a headscissors
takeover and then knocked Swerve off the top turnbuckle
before dropkicking him to the floor. Ospreay wound up the
crowd before connecting on a springboard crossbody to Swerve
on the floor. He threw Swerve back in and remained in
control with stiff strikes. Ospreay hit a Snake Eyes on
Swerve and bounced off the ropes only to run into a boot
from Swerve, who followed with a rolling flatliner. That got
just a one-count.

Swerve targeted Ospreay’s neck in the corner and stayed on
him with a pair of neckbreakers. Ospreay fought out of the
third attempt, but Swerve still dropped him with a high-
angle neckbreaker. Swerve controlled Ospreay’s head and
tossed him to the mat, but Ospreay sprang right back with a
kick that stunned Swerve. Ospreay hit a corkscrew kick and
went up top for a springboard forearm to get a near-fall.
Ospreay hit a boot in the corner and went back up top with a
forearm to the back of Swerve’s head.

Ospreay tried for a Hidden Blade, but Swerve stopped it with
a Pele kick. Swerve dropped Ospreay on his knee with a
devastating backbreaker. Swerve took his time to recover and
started trash-talking Ospreay while mockingly pushing him.
Ospreay responded by clocking Swerve with three forearms.
Swerve nailed a kick, but Ospreay shook it off and ran up to
Swerve with a kick and enzuigiri. Ospreay came off the
ropes, and the two exchanged reversals until Ospreay tried
for a Styles Clash, but Swerve turned it into a powerslam
for a near-fall! 

Ospreay fell to the floor, so Swerve followed and kicked him
from the apron. Swerve pulled the protective cover off the
turnbuckle connector and tried to throw Ospreay into it, but
Ospreay reversed it and threw Swerve shoulder-first into the
ring post. He wrenched Swerve’s arm over his back and
stomped it from the barricade. Ospreay was locked in Death
Ground on the floor, but the referee came out to break it
up. He didn’t see Nana throw his coffee at Ospreay, who
immediately went after Nana. Ospreay turned back around to
put his focus back on Swerve, but Swerve powerbombed Ospreay
onto the corner of the apron! Swerve positioned Ospreay’s
neck under the exposed turnbuckle, connected and
slingshotted him right into it from a very short range!
Ospreay could be in dire straits! Ospreay came up pouring
blood!

Swerve went out and threw Ospreay back in the ring. As
Swerve took his time, Ospreay flailed around trying to
figure out where he was. Swerve went head-to-head with
Ospreay and trash-talked him again, so Ospreay threw a
desperation shot. Swerve shook it off and deadlifted Ospreay
off the mat for a suplex that got a near-fall. With Ospreay
seemingly out of it in the middle of the ring, Swerve
measured him for a House Call, but Ospreay turned it into a
Spanish Fly out of nowhere! Both men struggled to get up,
but Ospreay connected a few wild shots. Swerve pulled him
down by the hair and tried to roll through into a suplex,
but Ospreay turned it into a stunner! Ospreay rolled through
Swerve and picked him up for a Styles Clash that connected!
Swerve kicked out!

Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade on a standing Swerve, but Swerve
didn’t go down and threw his own back elbow at Ospreay to
deck him! Swerve pulled Ospreay towards the corner for a
Swerve Stomp, but Ospreay knocked Swerve back onto the top
turnbuckle. Ospreay went up to meet him, but Swerve tried an
avalanche powerbomb only for Ospreay to reverse it into a
hurricanrana! Ospreay connected on a spin kick to the back
of Swerve’s head! Swerve kicked out at two! Ospreay hit a
pair of kicks and came off for an OsCutter, but Swerve
caught him and hit a Dead Eye! 1-2-Ospreay kicked out! 

Ospreay rolled to the apron, and Strickland tried a Swerve
Stomp, but missed, and Ospreay quickly got back in the ring
to charge at Swerve for a sunset flip powerbomb to the
floor. Swerve held onto the ropes to avoid it, so Ospreay
pulled Swerve into a Styles Clash position just to swing
Swerve into the steel steps. Now, Swerve was busted wide
open! Ospreay cleared the English commentary desk and
dragged the steel steps next to it. He brought Swerve up the
steps, but Nana swatted at his leg, and that gave reason for
Ospreay to get down and grab Nana. He swung at Nana, who
ducked, and Ospreay turned into a House Call from Swerve
from the steel steps!

With both men covered in blood, the steel steps started to
turn from silver to red as Swerve pulled Ospreay up and
measured a Vertebreaker. Ospreay fought out of it and hit a
Styles Clash into the desk, which didn’t break! A sickening
thud left both men down, but Ospreay got back in the ring
first. Swerve just beat the count, but dove right into a
diving dropkick from the top from Ospreay followed by an
OsCutter! 1-2-Swerve kicked out! Ospreay hit a trio of hook
kicks and two big elbow strikes before a third elbow to the
back of Swerve’s head. The referee began to count Swerve
out, but he beat the 10 count and immediately ate a Hidden
Blade! Swerve kicked out to save the match!

Ospreay kicked Swerve back to his feet and into the corner,
where he lifted Swerve up on his shoulders from the middle
rope. Swerve punched his way free and went after Ospreay’s
neck. Ospreay collapsed forward, but was still stuck in the
ropes, so Swerve stomped him in the back of the neck! Swerve
couldn’t get to Ospreay to cover, so he lifted him for a
Vertebreaker, but Ospreay escaped and trapped Swerve for a
near-fall. Swerve bounced up and hit a House Call! Ospreay
kicked out at one! Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade! Swerve kicked
out at one! Both men got up and knocked each other right
back down, as they collapsed in a heap! The fans were on
their feet as both men struggled to beat the 10-count. They
did and found themselves barely able to stand and drenched
in blood. Both men took off their gloves and backed into
opposite corners. They charged at each other, but Ospreay
was quicker and connected with a Hidden Blade! He nailed
Swerve with a Stormbreaker! Swerve kicked out at two!

Ospreay tried for a Hidden Blade again, but Swerve ducked,
and Ospreay missed a kick, so Swerve shoved him towards the
referee. That allowed Swerve to hit Ospreay with an
undetected low blow! Swerve finally hit the Vertebreaker! 1-
2-OSPREAY KICKED OUT! Swerve hit his own Hidden Blade and
picked up Ospreay for Big Pressure, which connected! Ospreay
kicked out at two again! The Death Riders were now at
ringside cheering Ospreay on! With Ospreay on his knees,
Swerve delivered a House Call that turned Ospreay’s head
right at the Death Riders. They fired him up, and he shook
it off as he got back to his feet! Ospreay nailed a Hidden
Blade! He went for the apron and connected with a Buckshot
Hidden Blade Swerve kicked out at two! Ospreay picked up
Swerve and hit him with a Paradigm Shift and then a Death
Rider! He held on and finished Swerve with a Tiger Driver!
Ospreay fell on Swerve and got the three count! Ospreay has
won the Owen Cup and will fight for the AEW World
Championship at All In: London! 

Ospreay shared some words with Swerve before Swerve left
with Nana. The Death Riders came in the ring and put the
Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Championship on Ospreay’s
waist and handed him the Owen Cup. As pyro went off,
Castagnoli and Moxley lifted Ospreay on their shoulders
while the rest of the Death Riders applauded, including PAC,
who had been tough to win over. The Death Riders directed
Ospreay to go celebrate up the ramp, while they exited
through the crowd. Ospreay’s wife, Alex Windsor, came out to
celebrate with him, and they walked up the ramp hand-in-hand
before Ospreay had a final moment with the crowd as
Forbidden Door came to a close!
