CM Punk was back on television yesterday, doing commentary
for Cage Fury Fighting Championships on the UFC Fight Pass
streaming service.
Punk was back at the promotion after several years, and
worked the event in Rockford, Illinois.
When asked by his two broadcast colleagues if he would be at
the next event, Punk asked if it would fall on a Friday.
When the reply was in the affirmative, Punk put doubts he’ll
be able to work it.
“It’s a Friday? I don’t know if I can make it,” Punk said
while cracking a smile.
Asked if he had any big news to share to go viral with, Punk
joked that he gained 20 pounds recently and the suit he was
wearing was a little tight!
Punk is expected to move to Smackdown once he returns to
WWE, hence the comment of unable to work the CFFC show on a
Friday night.
