Washington, on Thursday, June 26. Kyle Fletcher triumphed
over Kyle O'Reilly in a dramatic showdown marked by crowd-
favorite chants and outside interference, TNT Champion Adam
Cole successfully defended his title against Josh Alexander
in a closely contested bout, and tensions escalated between
Toni Storm, Mercedes Moné, and Mina Shirakawa ahead of their
respective critical upcoming matches.
Here’s everything that went down at AEW Collision, including
your full AEW Collision results and recap.
Outrunners and FTR Exchange Heated Words to Open AEW
Collision
AEW Collision began with a tense confrontation between the
Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) and former allies
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), accompanied by their
agent Big Stoke. Stoke addressed the friction directly,
expressing shock at the Outrunners' recent behavior, saying
he was "flabbergasted" at how quickly their camaraderie
soured.
Cash Wheeler echoed Stoke's disbelief, emphasizing the
mentorship FTR had provided, "mentoring you two, taking you
to heights you never even came close to before FTR." With
that, Wheeler tossed to a heartwarming video package
recapping the two tag teams’ time together, mostly training
and doing big, muscly handshakes.
Wheeler passionately defended their recent actions,
asserting that their self-preservation seemed to trigger
issues with their peers, notably pointing out grievances
from Cope and Daniel Garcia as well.
Dax Harwood then took the mic, accusing the Outrunners of
jealousy and failing to seize their opportunity. He sharply
criticized their previous title match failure: "Your one
opportunity at immortality to become the AEW World Tag Team
Champions, and you embarrassed yourself." Harwood bluntly
declared that fans now view the Outrunners as "a joke" and
"a meme," adding, "These people aren't laughing with you.
They're laughing right in your face."
Truth Magnum acknowledged their setbacks. “Maybe we came up
short against the Syndicate," he said, but he passionately
defended the Outrunners' connection with the fans,
asserting, "I'll be damned if these people ever stop
believing in the Outrunners." Turbo Floyd turned the
accusation of betrayal back onto FTR, stating, "The biggest
mistake here was that we believed in you... that you would
be our mentors."
The segment concluded with Floyd and Magnum challenging FTR
to a fight, prompting Big Stoke to interject, noting FTR's
policy: "They don't fight for free, especially not in
Washington." However, Stoke accepted the challenge for next
week, setting up a showdown in Ontario, California, firmly
declaring, "See you there, boys. Top guys out."
Christian Cage & Nick Wayne vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith
Christian Cage and Nick Wayne teamed up as a "father and
son" duo for the first time, taking on the formidable pair
of Big Bill and Bryan Keith, whom the Patriarchy had
interrupted after the duo brawled with the Workhorsemen last
week.
The match began with a technical exchange as Bryan Keith
showcased his skill by reversing a maneuver into a
hammerlock, with Nigel McGuinness praising Keith as "a great
technician." Nick Wayne responded with agility, landing a
precise kick to Keith's jaw.
Christian Cage entered the match with intensity, displaying
his strategic, veteran control. McGuinness noted Cage's
poise, stating, "What poise this man has," particularly
after Cage landed a powerful drop on Keith for a near-fall.
The match intensified when Big Bill tagged in, utilizing his
size and strength advantage to dominate briefly. A highlight
moment saw Big Bill leap over a charging Christian to avoid
a Spear, with Schiavone marveling, "What agility for a
seven-footer. Incredible."
In the match's dramatic conclusion, Cage made a pivotal
intervention, sacrificing himself and enabling Nick Wayne to
capitalize. Wayne executed a swift, decisive kick to Keith's
jaw, securing the pinfall victory. Tony Schiavone described
the finish vividly: "Taking a bite out of the bad apple and
scoring the first win for the father and son duo of the
patriarchy."
Walking Weapon Warns Adam Cole
In a backstage segment on AEW Collision, Josh Alexander of
the Don Callis Family delivered pointed comments ahead of
his scheduled match against AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole.
Responding directly to Cole’s open challenge issued on
Wednesday's Dynamite, Alexander confidently stated,
"Tonight's the night where I get to free you of the burden
of being a fighting champion."
Highlighting their history, Alexander emphasized their
familiarity, noting, "Paragon and Don Callis Family—we're no
strangers to each other. Me and you, Adam, we're no
strangers to each other." He targeted Cole’s vulnerability,
explicitly mentioning Cole’s injury: "The only thing that is
undisputed about this is that I know you have a bad ankle."
Alexander closed his intense message with a stark warning,
boldly predicting a definitive outcome: "You're not walking
out with that TNT championship, and hell, when I'm done,
you're not walking out at all."
MVP Says Hello to The Patriarchy
A tense backstage exchange was next as MVP of the Hurt
Syndicate confronted Christian Cage and Nick Wayne of the
Patriarchy. MVP acknowledged Cage and Wayne's ambition to
become the first father-son AEW Tag Team Champions. He
praised Christian Cage’s legendary status as "one of the
greatest tag team champions in history," but voiced
skepticism about Nick Wayne's readiness: "As talented as you
are... you're still just a kid."
Christian Cage swiftly rebuffed MVP’s remarks with cutting
criticism, challenging MVP’s credibility: "I've always lived
by the rule: Never trust a criminal. You weren't even a good
criminal at that because you got caught." Cage intensified
his rebuke by further diminishing MVP’s managerial skills:
"You were actually a better criminal than you are a
manager."
Cage ended the confrontation by asserting his dominance
within AEW: "I am the patriarch. I run AEW, and if I want
those AEW tag team championships, they're as good as ours."
MVP responded cryptically yet confidently, offering Cage and
Wayne a cautious farewell: "Good luck. Because you’re going
to need it."
Brody King & Templario vs. Rocky Romero & Hechicero
AEW Collision featured an explosive tag team matchup as the
imposing duo of Brody King and CMLL World Middleweight
Champion Templario faced Rocky Romero and Hechicero.
Early in the contest, Templario showcased impressive
strength and agility against Romero, utilizing his
remarkable speed and power to quickly establish control.
Brody King then asserted his dominance, leveraging his size
to counter Romero's experienced offense. Announcer Tony
Schiavone emphasized Romero's credentials, noting his
extensive championship history: "Rocky has held his
championships—World Historic Welterweight Champion, IWGP
Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion."
The pace intensified with Rocky Romero and Hechicero
executing tandem maneuvers, including Romero's sharp
dropkick that staggered King, sending him momentarily
reeling against the ropes. Nigel McGuinness praised Romero's
timely offense, remarking, "Great move by Rocky Romero in
that dropkick, it set it up perfectly."
However, King and Templario quickly regained the advantage
with devastating strikes. Brody King delivered his signature
cannonball senton into the corner on Hechicero, leading
Schiavone to describe it vividly: "A locomotive coming in,
cannonball pinned against the bottom!"
In the final moments of the matchup, the high-flying
Templario stunned the crowd with a dynamic Springboard
Shotgun Dropkick, followed immediately by a breathtaking
Handspring Moonsault to the outside, wiping out his
opponents at ringside.
Back in the ring, Brody King decisively sealed the victory
by catching Rocky Romero off guard and planting him firmly
with the Gonzo Bomb, securing a commanding pinfall win.
Schiavone celebrated the decisive finish, enthusiastically
stating, "Sensational win for the first-time-ever team of
Brody King and Templario!"
Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm Exchange Words, Storm Makes a
Promise
In a dramatic sequence on AEW Collision, Mercedes Moné first
delivered a fiery rebuke to AEW Women's World Champion Toni
Storm, surrounded by symbolic imagery of roses, a movie
projector, movie reels with labels referencing the champ,
and Moné’s championship belts.
Moné confidently dismissed Storm, mocking her presentation:
"Toni, you parade around AEW with your chest up, tits out,
your cheap little slippers, and your stupid, silly little
accent." She sharply emphasized her superiority, declaring,
"I'm a true star, darling. I'm Six-Belts Moné—a global
champion, soon to be Seven-Belts Moné."
Moné highlighted the stakes of their upcoming encounter at
AEW All In, labeling Storm a mere supporting character in
her own grand narrative: "If it's a death sentence you want,
then this is gonna be a beautiful murder that you wrote."
Adding insult to injury, Moné revealed a photo of Storm on
the bottom of her boots, tauntingly promising, "Now I'm
gonna be walking all over your face at All In."
Additionally addressing her upcoming opponent Mina, Moné
offered a chilling preview for their TBS title match at
Dynamite 300: "Next week for our TBS title match on Dynamite
300, it's gonna be match 1000 for me... I'll even buy you a
nice steak dinner to see if you can even stomach the preview
of the beating that I'm gonna give you at All In Texas."
Concluding her pointed remarks, Moné summed up her strategic
dominance succinctly: "Because while the two of you are
playing checkers, I am playing chess."
In a separate backstage segment on AEW Collision, Toni Storm
and Mina Shirakawa directly addressed Mercedes Moné,
highlighting the tension leading up to their upcoming
matches. Storm delivered an intense and colorful warning,
stating, "Mercedes, these are the kinds of games that you
want to play. I was born on a roulette table, baby. I'll
play snooker with your snatch. I'll play tic tac toe with
your tits."
Shirakawa intervened, acknowledging Storm’s anger but firmly
requesting that she refrain from interference during
Shirakawa's upcoming match against Moné for the TBS Title on
Dynamite 300. Shirakawa made her request clear: "No matter
what happens, do not get involved. Promise."
Storm, acknowledging Shirakawa’s concerns, agreed
reluctantly, making a pointed request: "I promise. Just keep
her alive, will you? Because I wanna finish the job."
Megan Bayne vs. VertVixen
Megan Bayne, accompanied by Penelope Ford, showcased her
dominance in a one-sided singles match against VertVixen.
Bayne entered the match with an impressive undefeated record
on Collision, standing at 8-0.
Bayne wasted no time asserting her strength, executing a
powerful Double Underhook Suplex early in the match. Nigel
McGuinness underscored Bayne's dominance, remarking, "Bayne
has just proved, time and time again, too powerful for
anybody who stands across from her."
McGuinness observed that VertVixen was "no tomato can,"
highlighting her credibility as a competitor. Despite a
spirited effort by VertVixen, who briefly stunned Bayne with
a sharp kick that momentarily had Bayne taking a knee, the
offense was short-lived.
Bayne quickly rebounded, delivering a devastating Running
Lariat, described vividly by McGuinness as Vixen having
been, "run right over and decapitated from Bayne." Bayne
swiftly followed this brutal strike with the decisive move,
the Fate’s Descent.
Anthony Bowens Calls His Shot
In a backstage segment on AEW Collision, Anthony Bowens
confidently announced his intention to compete on Dynamite
300 in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet Qualifying Match for the
No. 2 spot in the Gauntlet at All In. Emphasizing his
determination to recover from recent setbacks, Bowens
stated, "Two weeks ago, things didn't really go my way, and
I told Billy that we need to get our stuff together quick."
Bowens explained his decision to reassess his strategy by
having Billy stay home: "I told him to stay home to rethink
that strategy, and next week you're gonna see that strategy
come into play." Highlighting the importance of his
potential qualification, he asserted, "When I win this
match, I get to enter that gauntlet at number two."
Bowens concluded his declaration with a signature
catchphrase, underscoring his resolve: "You cannot have the
biggest pay-per-view, the biggest show of the year, All In,
without your pride. Don't believe me? Well, I got five tools
and one rule—that's prove them wrong."
AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge: Adam Cole vs. Josh
Alexander
Josh Alexander answered AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole’s open
challenge, resulting in a thrilling and closely contested
championship match. Alexander quickly targeted Cole's known
ankle injury, employing strategic groundwork and aggressive
submission attempts early on. Nigel McGuinness noted
Alexander's tactical approach, stating, "Certainly a good
strategy for Alexander to focus on an injured body part."
Cole showcased resilience and technical skill, countering
Alexander's attempts with impactful moves, including a sharp
Cutter and a Backstabber. A pivotal moment occurred when
Cole executed a Panama Sunrise, leading Tony Schiavone to
exclaim, "He got him! Panama Sunrise!" Despite this high-
impact maneuver, Alexander remarkably kicked out, prolonging
the intense contest.
In the dramatic climax, Adam Cole finally secured victory
with his signature finishing move, the Boom, delivering a
decisive knee strike to the back of Alexander's neck for the
win. Schiavone highlighted the hard-fought nature of Cole's
victory: "He earned every bit of that."
Alex Windsor Makes a Statement
UK women's wrestling standout Alex Windsor reintroduced
herself emphatically to the AEW audience. Windsor boldly
declared, "When you talk about the best women's wrestlers in
the UK, the only name that should spring to mind is Alex
Windsor."
She emphasized her determination and ambition, promising,
"And when I said that I could hang with the best, and when I
said I belong where the best wrestle, I didn't just come to
talk about it. I am here to prove it. I am here to break
backs, to win championship gold, and I'll stop at nothing
until everyone knows the name, Alex Windsor." Windsor’s
assertive message set clear expectations for her future in
AEW.
Skye Blue vs. Queen Aminata
Skye Blue, accompanied by Julia Hart, faced off against
Queen Aminata in a fierce singles match. Early distractions
from Julia Hart set the stage, allowing Blue to land an
impactful rising knee strike and a twisting suplex onto the
ring apron.
The momentum shifted as Queen Aminata retaliated with her
signature moves, including "Chocolate Kisses," powerful
strikes that commentator Nigel McGuinness highlighted as
"not as sweet as they look." The decisive moment arrived
when Aminata executed her finisher, "Off With Her Head," a
devastating kick which secured the pinfall victory.
However, the action didn’t end with the bell. Julia Hart
distracted Aminata, setting the stage for Thekla's ominous
appearance. Utilizing the distraction, Skye Blue ambushed
Aminata from behind. Thekla then joined the assault,
intensifying the attack until Tay Melo and Anna Jay (TayJay)
rushed in to make the save, weapons in hand.
The chaotic scene underscored the growing tensions within
the women's division, as all of these women could be in the
Casino Gauntlet Match at All In, as noted by the announce
team.
Rocky Romero Has a Message for Danny Garcia on Behalf of the
Family
Lexy Nair began interviewing Danny Garcia about his recent
alliance with Adam Cole due to mutual conflicts with the Don
Callis Family. Rocky Romero swiftly interrupted, challenging
the narrative set by Nair, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. That's a
little harsh—problems?"
Romero addressed Garcia directly, reminding him of Don
Callis’s prior invitation to join their group: "A couple
weeks ago, my boss Don Callis gave you a golden opportunity
to join the family." Romero questioned Garcia’s alliance
with Adam Cole, suggesting ulterior motives: "Do you think
that if the shoe was on the other foot and you were still
the TNT champion, you think Adam Cole would be your friend?"
Daddy Magic reacted defensively to Romero's insinuations
about friendship, angrily confronting him, "Hey, piece of
garbage. What's that supposed to mean?"
Romero, unbothered by the outburst, concluded with a pointed
invitation: "OK, OK, OK. Look, when you want some real
friends, or, scratch that, a real family, you know where to
find us."
Kyle Fletcher vs. Kyle O’Reilly: BATTLE OF THE KYLES
Kyle Fletcher of the Don Callis Family faced Paragon’s Kyle
O'Reilly in a gripping singles match that had the crowd
chanting various Kyle-themed chants such as "This is Kyle!"
and "Kyle Forever!" from start to finish.
The match featured a world-class display of striking and
grappling, with Fletcher utilizing his size and power
effectively early on. Commentator Nigel McGuinness
highlighted Fletcher's physical prowess, describing him as
"prodigious, potent, and high caliber." O'Reilly countered
effectively with his renowned kicking techniques and
technical submissions, including a tight Triangle Choke and
an Ankle Lock, demonstrating his grappling mastery.
A pivotal moment occurred when Fletcher landed a vicious
running boot, but O'Reilly retaliated with a sequence of
kicks culminating in a devastating Guillotine submission
attempt. However, Fletcher showcased resilience and
strength, breaking free and responding with powerful
counters including a knee strike.
The climactic finish came when Lance Archer interfered,
attacking O'Reilly while the referee was distracted.
Fletcher capitalized on this interference, executing a
Brainbuster to secure the pinfall victory.
Following the match, Archer and Fletcher continued their
assault on O'Reilly, prompting Adam Cole, Roderick Strong,
and Daniel Garcia to rush the ring, making the timely save,
with Fletcher staring down Cole and mouthing that his TNT
Championship belonged to Fletcher. Tony Schiavone summed up
the night's intense action: "Competition at an all-time
high!"
