ALL ELITE WRESTLING DYNAMITE/TBS/MAX: June 25 report

Posted on 6/26/125 by Bob Magee

AEW Dynamite stormed into Seattle, Washington, delivering a
night filled with high-stakes competition and explosive
confrontations just 17 days away from AEW All In: Texas.

Hangman Adam Page headlined the action-packed episode with a
fierce showdown against The Beast Mortos, securing a
critical victory in dramatic fashion before a post-match
assault escalated tensions with Jon Moxley and the Young
Bucks. Additionally, Mark Briscoe and Kris Statlander
emerged victorious in intense 4-way battles, earning pivotal
No. 1 entrant positions in their respective Casino Gauntlet
matches.

Here’s everything that went down on a thrilling episode of
Dynamite, including your full AEW Dynamite results and
recap.

Mercedes Moné Ambushes Toni Storm

AEW Dynamite kicked off explosively as Timeless Toni Storm
arrived at the arena, only to be ambushed backstage by her
upcoming challenger at AEW All In: Texas, Mercedes Moné.

Just one week removed from Storm interrupting Moné’s
celebration after earning the CMLL World Women’s
Championship, tensions escalated dramatically. Storm had
boldly declared on AEW Collision that Moné would have to
"kill her" to take the AEW Women's World Championship. Moné
appeared determined to respond, launching into a fierce and
unexpected assault backstage.

“Tony, you wanna play games? Huh? Is this what you wanted?
You wanna embarrass me?” Moné shouted amidst the chaos.
“Let's play.”

The brawl rapidly spilled into the arena, with Moné
aggressively seeking to deliver both physical punishment and
psychological warfare ahead of their impending title clash.
The situation was finally subdued when Mina Shirakawa
intervened, rushing out to aid Storm.

As the dust settled, Moné stood defiant, issuing a chilling
warning: “Let the games begin.” With just 17 days until All
In: Texas, the stakes have never been higher in the heated
rivalry between Storm and Moné.

The Young Bucks Make Their Power Known … But Get Challenged

Backstage, AEW Dynamite continued as Nicholas Jackson
gleefully declared, “Here ye, here ye, 'tis your founding
fathers, Matthew and Nicholas, your executive vice
presidents of AEW!” Matthew Jackson revealed they'd flexed
their backstage influence to unexpectedly bump up the tag
match featuring Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland. "I hope
you're prepared, because that match isn't later tonight,"
Matthew announced, "it actually is right now."

Ospreay and Swerve entered the arena hastily, clearly caught
off guard, as Ospreay taped his wrists en route to the ring.
Facing Lee Johnson and Blake Christian, the match began with
Johnson and Swerve exchanging rapid maneuvers, highlighted
by a quick leapfrog sequence and evasion by Johnson.
Ospreay, sporting a noticeable black eye from a previous
superkick incident, tagged in and executed a sharp Manhattan
Drop and a blistering chop on Christian.

Despite their abrupt start, Ospreay and Swerve showcased
impressive chemistry. A notable moment came when Ospreay
launched himself into Johnson on the outside with a dynamic
crossbody. However, the Young Bucks appeared ringside,
creating a distraction that allowed Christian to capitalize
with a precise dropkick.

Blake Christian momentarily dominated, impressively
connecting with a flawless 450 Splash on Ospreay.
Nevertheless, resilience and teamwork prevailed as Swerve
exploded into action, delivering a punishing Buckle Bomb
followed by brutal uppercuts. Swerve then decisively ended
the match with a devastating Swerve Stomp, sealing their
victory.

Post-match tensions escalated as Swerve addressed the Young
Bucks directly, expressing frustration over continual
interference. "Year after year after year…I'm not going to
go another year dealing with you two," Swerve proclaimed
emphatically. Ospreay upped the ante, issuing a bold
challenge: "Put the EVP titles on the line." With tempers
flaring and the stakes higher than ever, the Young Bucks now
face a critical decision in the lead-up to AEW All In:
Texas.

The Bucks and the Family: Together as One?

After the break, the Bucks had a response for Swerve, with
Matthew stating bluntly, “Swerve, you dumb ass. Do you not
realize what you just did?” Referencing the AEW employee
handbook, Matthew declared that due to Swerve laying hands
on an AEW official, “You're suspended for the week without
pay. Get his ass outta here.”

Then, members of the Don Callis Family, led by Okada and
Rocky Romero, entered the scene. Romero reflected on their
complicated past with the Young Bucks, humorously noting,
"Who would've thought from the days of Chaos feuding with
you guys and the Bullet Club to all of us on the same side?"
Matthew Jackson cautiously acknowledged their shared
objectives, particularly highlighting the mutual ambition
"to strap [Okada] up at All In to become the first-ever AEW
Unified Champion."

Adding fuel to the fire, Trent Beretta teased their
strategy, vowing, "Guys, I want you to watch what I'm about
to do to Ibushi. I think you're gonna love it," receiving
encouragement from Matthew.

As the group dispersed, a lingering tension remained between
Takeshita and Okada. Takeshita broke the silence ominously,
reminding Okada, “Remember, this is temporary.” Okada's
terse acknowledgment, "Okay," hinted at unresolved friction
and further intrigue moving forward.

Kota Ibushi vs. Trent Berretta

The action continued on AEW Dynamite with Kota Ibushi making
his anticipated return to singles competition against Trent
Berretta of the Don Callis Family, accompanied by Rocky
Romero. From the outset, the intensity was palpable, as
Berretta appeared fiercely determined to send a message to
Kenny Omega by punishing Omega's longtime friend and ally,
Ibushi.

Both athletes started evenly matched, trading technical
holds and displaying their agility and power. Ibushi
showcased his renowned athleticism with a perfectly executed
dropkick, while Berretta used distractions provided by
Romero to gain momentary advantages. Ibushi retaliated
impressively with a standing moonsault press, demonstrating
his explosive offense.

The match took a punishing turn as Berretta delivered a
devastating Gotch-style piledriver, nearly securing the
victory. Ibushi fought back resiliently, landing a crisp
Dragon Suplex targeting Berretta's surgically repaired neck.
The turning point came when Ibushi unleashed a series of
powerful knee strikes, decisively ending the bout with a
brutal Kamigoye, driving his knee directly into Berretta's
face to secure the pinfall victory.

Following the match, tensions escalated dramatically as AEW
Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada made his presence felt.
Okada approached the ring for a tense and electrifying
staredown with Ibushi, reigniting their storied rivalry.
Their confrontation set the stage for an epic battle next
week, officially announced by Tony Khan as a marquee matchup
for Dynamite 300.

Jon Moxley Has a Message for the Cowboy

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley delivered a searing, personal
monologue directed squarely at his upcoming challenger at
AEW All In: Texas, Hangman Adam Page. Moxley, intense and
unyielding, focused on the urgency of the present,
declaring, “The only thing we ever actually have is the
present moment and it slips through our fingers like sand.”

With clear disdain, Moxley questioned Hangman's ability to
seize this crucial opportunity: "Hangman Page has lost hold
of what's come before a thousand times over. And here it is
in his hand again. Will he grab it? Take hold of it? Will he
show up for it like it's shown up for him? I don't think
so."

Critiquing Page's mindset, Moxley asserted, "The cowboy is
afraid, not afraid of me. It's not a fear of failure.
Hangman Page is afraid to become what the world needs him to
be." He dismissed Page’s modest persona sharply, stating,
"For a guy like me who's walked the path that I've walked to
be standing here today, the world champion, Hangman Page
makes me absolutely sick."

Moxley's scorn grew deeper as he voiced contempt for Page's
emotional vulnerability: "I have less than zero sympathy for
your plight, for your crybaby crap. A world champion doesn't
shy away from responsibility. The world champion walks into
the fire and does not take a single ounce of crap from
anybody."

Emphasizing the stakes for their July 12th encounter, Moxley
painted a brutal vision of the match: "While you're fiddling
around with your emotional turmoil, worrying about who's
your friend, who's not your friend...you're gonna be getting
elbowed in the face. You're gonna be getting choked into
oblivion. You're gonna be getting dumped on the top of your
skull."

In a chilling conclusion, Moxley delivered a stark ultimatum
to Hangman, promising definitive action: "On July 12th, I
show the world what the world champion looks like. You, you
gotta start looking for another job."

Ricochet Recruits AR Fox for a Match

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed AR Fox, noting his recent
momentum despite a tough loss to Jon Moxley. Ricochet
abruptly interrupted, stating he came with "no animosity,
with no ill will," but rather to recruit Fox, recognizing
his "unique set of skills" needed for Ricochet’s quest for
gold. Ricochet proposed teaming up against JetSpeed
(Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight) to "take 'em out
tonight."

In the ensuing match, Ricochet frequently left Fox to fend
for himself, initially watching from the sidelines as
JetSpeed dominated early with synchronized high-flying
maneuvers, including stereo cross bodies. Fox showed
incredible resilience, executing a dynamic over-the-rope
foot stomp and senton combo onto Bailey.

Despite his partner’s indifference, Fox's innovative offense
kept the match competitive. However, Ricochet continued to
undermine teamwork, tagging himself in opportunistically and
delivering a sharp uppercut and chest kick to Kevin Knight,
enjoying the spectacle rather than capitalizing on the
momentum.

As the match reached its climax, AR Fox desperately sought a
tag, only to find Ricochet stepping away and abandoning him
entirely. JetSpeed swiftly capitalized on the betrayal;
Kevin Knight executed a precise sky-high maneuver, setting
Fox up perfectly for Knight’s UFO Splash, securing the
victory.

JetSpeed Issues a Challenge, The Hurt Syndicate Tends to
Business

Following their victory, JetSpeed’s Speedball Mike Bailey
and Kevin Knight were interviewed by Tony Schiavone,
expressing their intent to challenge the reigning AEW Tag
Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate, at AEW All In: Texas.
Bailey asserted, “The AEW Tag Team championships have been
held hostage for way too long, and it's time for someone to
come to their rescue.” Knight echoed the sentiment,
confidently declaring, “Those tag team titles been held
hostage worse than OKC been holding the Supersonics hostage
all these years. It's time for those tag team titles to come
home.”

Their moment was swiftly interrupted as Shelton Benjamin and
Bobby Lashley, along with MJF and MVP of The Hurt Syndicate,
attacked JetSpeed viciously, culminating in Lashley brutally
choking Knight out and putting both men through a table. MVP
then grabbed a microphone, challenging anyone brave enough
to step up to their dominance. "Please, will someone stand
up to the AEW Tag Team Champions, please?" MVP provocatively
asked the audience.

MJF seized the mic to announce his participation in a
qualifying match for the men's Casino Gauntlet at All In:
Texas, aiming to reclaim what he views as his rightful AEW
World Championship.

Mark Briscoe interrupted with characteristic flair,
humorously but pointedly addressing MJF’s insults and deeper
issues, suggesting, "I feel like all these hurtful comments
and words that come from your mouth come from a place of
insufficiency." Highlighting empathy as the "word of the
day," Briscoe playfully jabbed at MJF, stating, "If I'm
Maxwell Jacob Friedman, and I've been going damn near 30
years with a little teeny tiny kosher pickle in my pants,
then I would probably wanna hang out with these fellas too."

MVP quickly diffused the situation, guiding The Hurt
Syndicate away while mockingly promising to watch Briscoe
"do what he does better than anybody else... lose."

4-Way Match for the No. 1 Spot in the Men’s Casino Gauntlet
Match at AEW All In: Mark Briscoe vs. ROH World Champion
Bandido vs. Roderick Strong vs. Konosuke Takeshita

AEW Dynamite featured an intense 4-Way Match with Mark
Briscoe, ROH World Champion Bandido, Roderick Strong, and
Konosuke Takeshita battling fiercely for the coveted No. 1
spot in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In: Texas.

From the outset, the action was relentless. Bandido
demonstrated his incredible agility with a precise dropkick
and a fluid hurricanrana. Takeshita's strategic prowess was
on full display as he executed a devastating Blue Thunder
Bomb on Roderick Strong, narrowly missing a victory. Strong
responded with his signature series of brutal backbreakers,
further emphasizing his nickname, "Messiah of the
Backbreaker."

Mark Briscoe brought his characteristic toughness and
unpredictability, employing a crisp scissor kick through the
ropes and a blockbuster neckbreaker combo. The match reached
fever pitch as Bandido landed a high-impact Cutter on
Strong, only to crash spectacularly after missing a high-
risk aerial maneuver.

The decisive moments came as Bandido attempted to put
Takeshita away with his patented 21-Plex, but Takeshita
barely escaped by rolling away from the pinning predicament.
Seizing this chaotic opening, Mark Briscoe soared with
pinpoint accuracy, hitting his signature Froggy Bow from the
top rope onto Roderick Strong, securing the crucial victory.

Adam Cole Wants the Don Callis Family

Backstage on AEW Dynamite, TNT Champion Adam Cole issued a
bold open challenge directed squarely at the Don Callis
Family for AEW Collision. Addressing the persistent
antagonism he's faced, Cole declared, "The Don Callis Family
has been a thorn in my side for far too long." He then
confidently laid down the gauntlet: "Tomorrow night on
Collision, an open challenge for my TNT Championship against
any member of the Don Callis Family."

Cole emphasized his readiness and intent, promising not only
to defend his title successfully but also delivering a
pointed threat, asserting, "I'm gonna whoop your ass in the
process." With his characteristic assurance, he concluded
emphatically, "And that is undisputed."

4-Way Match for the No. 1 Spot in the Women’s Casino
Gauntlet Match at AEW All In: Willow Nightingale vs. ROH
Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Kris Statlander vs.
Thunder Rosa

The high-stakes 4-Way Match to secure the No. 1 spot in the
Women's Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In: Texas saw fierce
competitors Willow Nightingale, ROH Women's World Champion
Athena, Thunder Rosa, and Kris Statlander collide in a
dynamic clash.

Athena quickly displayed dominance, using a handspring
forearm and a swift DDT to maintain early momentum. Willow
Nightingale responded powerfully, utilizing her strength
with a double suplex on multiple opponents and an impactful
cannonball in the corner. Thunder Rosa brought strategic
agility into play, nearly capturing victory with precise
dropkicks and an expertly timed double stomp.

The turning point occurred amidst chaotic action when Death
Riders' Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta intervened. Shafir
distracted Willow Nightingale, allowing Yuta to close in
from ringside. Capitalizing immediately, Kris Statlander
executed a devastating piledriver, swiftly pinning
Nightingale to secure the victory.

FTR Respond to the Outrunners

Renee Young interviewed FTR alongside their agent, Big
Stoke, addressing the surprising intervention by the
Outrunners—Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum—following FTR's
victory last week on Collision.

Big Stoke took the lead, noting that FTR were "too
heartbroken and disappointed to speak." He described the
Outrunners' interruption as "egregious," revealing initial
discussions about retaliation through "good old-fashioned
vandalism." However, Stoke emphasized that "cooler heads
prevailed," highlighting FTR's character as "God-fearing
men, family men, and upstanding citizens."

Ultimately, Stoke extended an olive branch, proposing a
face-to-face meeting in the ring on Collision to "clear the
air," hoping they could resolve their differences amicably.
"FTR wants to see where things are, and then we can all get
on the same page," Stoke concluded decisively. "Top guys
out."

Hangman Adam Page vs. the Beast Mortos

The AEW Dynamite main event featured a highly physical
battle between Hangman Adam Page and The Beast Mortos. Early
exchanges saw Mortos deliver powerful headbutts and
explosive offense, but Hangman countered effectively,
showcasing his agility and strength with moves such as a
fallaway slam.
The momentum swung dramatically several times, highlighted
by Mortos’ devastating pop-up Samoan drop and lung blower,
both nearly securing him victory. Page, resilient as ever,
responded with a spectacular Poison Rana followed by a
ferocious discus lariat that left Mortos reeling. Seizing
the moment, Hangman delivered his signature Buckshot Lariat,
decisively pinning Mortos to claim the hard-fought win.

Post-match, darkness enveloped the arena, heralding the
surprise arrival of Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. The Young
Bucks viciously assaulted Hangman, striking him with a
brutal EVP Trigger. From there, the Death Riders—Jon Moxley,
Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir—stormed the ring, poised to
inflict even greater harm.

As Moxley menacingly wrapped a chain around Hangman's neck,
Samoa Joe and The Opps rushed to Hangman's defense, igniting
a chaotic brawl. Will Ospreay notably intervened, directly
confronting Moxley and preventing further devastation.

The chaotic scene underscored escalating tensions, casting
uncertainty over Hangman Adam Page's physical condition
ahead of his critical AEW World Championship match against
Jon Moxley at AEW All In: Texas, just 17 days away.
