AEW Collision ignited Kent, Washington, on Saturday, June
21, with dramatic confrontations, explosive matches, and
major statements as the road to AEW All In: Texas continues.
Here’s everything that went down at AEW Collision, including
your full AEW Collision results and recap.
Stokely Opens the Show
AEW Collision kicked off with a powerful message from Big
Stoke, the agent for FTR, standing before Dax Harwood and
Cash Wheeler—joined by Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita—
laying down a strong statement.
Stokely pulled no punches, calling out “Wednesday’s complete
and utter embarrassment” at Grand Slam Mexico, where Harwood
teamed with Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher in a 12-man tag team
match but suffered a harsh loss. Dax was pinned following an
inside cradle from CMLL’s Atlantis Jr., cementing a public
setback for the unit.
Stokely’s message was clear: that misstep won’t happen
again. He celebrated Cash Wheeler’s return—declaring FTR
whole once more. With all four men now in lockstep, Stokely
confidently acknowledged FTR’s teammates and declared,
“ProtoShita, tonight we win.”
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. AR Fox
Collision continued with an intense singles match featuring
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley taking on the high-flying AR
Fox, setting a fierce tone for the evening with AEW All In:
Texas just three weeks away.
The match started rapidly, Fox aggressively taking the fight
directly to Moxley, quickly staggering the champion with
explosive strikes and a sharp dropkick. Commentator Nigel
McGuinness praised Fox's agility and courage, acknowledging
his "devil-may-care" style, while Tony Schiavone described
Fox's impact as "phenomenal."
Moxley soon countered decisively, flooring Fox with a
perfectly-timed right hand out of mid-air. With Wheeler Yuta
watching intently at ringside, Moxley began asserting
dominance through punishing strikes and submissions,
including a ruthless head-and-arm triangle choke using the
top rope for extra leverage. Moxley's aggression continued
as he delivered a powerful suplex and followed with a
forearm pressed aggressively across Fox's face, nearly
securing a pinfall.
AR Fox mounted an electrifying comeback, stunning Moxley
with an impressive sequence featuring a pump kick, hook
kick, and consecutive cutters that briefly put the champion
on the defensive. However, turning his back for just a
moment cost Fox dearly. Moxley exploded back into control,
hitting a devastating Gotch-style piledriver. Rather than
pinning Fox immediately, Moxley unleashed vicious ground
strikes before locking in a brutal rear-naked choke,
combined with a body scissors, causing Fox to lose
consciousness and handing Moxley the victory by submission.
Mox Addresses the Hangman
In the aftermath, Moxley took to the microphone with harsh
words directed squarely at his upcoming All In: Texas
opponent, Hangman Adam Page. Declaring impatience with
Hangman's perceived lack of commitment, Moxley stated:
"I've been watching this guy piss away his opportunities for
years. I've been watching this guy piss away his God-given
gifts for years."
He firmly vowed to remove Hangman from professional
wrestling entirely, promising:
"On July 12th at All In, I am gonna run the Hangman out of
this sport for good. You can go back to counting chickens on
your farm or whatever the hell it is you do.”
Adam Cole & Co. Brimming with Confidence
Ahead of the night's major eight-man tag team match, AEW TNT
Champion Adam Cole delivered confident remarks, recalling a
memorable AEW Grand Slam Mexico event. Standing alongside
teammates Roderick Strong, ROH World Champion Bandido, and
Daniel Garcia, Cole enthusiastically stated, "AEW Grand Slam
Mexico was one for the ages. We had a great night. …
Tonight, we're gonna keep the party rolling."
Cole wrapped up his rallying words by asserting his pride as
TNT Champion and expressed his team's determination to
secure victory, emphasizing:
"There would be nothing sweeter than this team getting a
victory tonight, and that is undisputed."
All Star 8-Man Tag Match: AEW TNT Champion Adam Cole,
Roderick Strong, ROH World Champion Bandido & Daniel Garcia
vs. FTR’s Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler & Don Callis
Family’s ‘ProtoShita’ (Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita)
From the onset, this match delivered high-intensity action.
Bandido electrified the crowd early, delivering a crisp
dropkick to Cash Wheeler. Tony Schiavone praised Bandido,
noting the fans' passionate support, "Fans are really behind
this young man!" Daniel Garcia, fired up from a tag,
displayed sharp striking with open-hand slaps, keeping
Fletcher on defense.
Momentum shifted dramatically when Fletcher executed a
punishing kick directly to Garcia's jaw. Dax Harwood,
particularly motivated following the recent loss at Arena
México, showcased his aggressive streak. Nigel McGuinness
highlighted this intensity, stating Harwood was "really
fired up after he got embarrassed."
The match crescendoed into a chaotic series of near falls
and dramatic saves. Bandido astonished with a top-rope
Tornado DDT, perfectly positioning himself for a critical
tag to Adam Cole. Cole then erupted into action, landing a
Backstabber on Fletcher, nearly securing victory.
In a climactic sequence of tandem maneuvers and rapid
counters, the ending arrived as Roderick Strong
inadvertently turned into Takeshita, setting up FTR to
capitalize. Strong fell victim to FTR's devastating
finishing maneuver, the Shatter Machine, allowing Cash
Wheeler to secure the decisive pinfall.
Dissatisfied with mere victory, FTR and ProtoShita
intensified their assault, setting Bandido up ominously for
a spike piledriver. The brutality prompted Tony Schiavone to
passionately condemn the post-match actions as "absolutely
bogus."
The Outrunners sprinted down the ramp for the rescue, a
notable twist given their prior friendly relationship with
FTR. Schiavone pointed out the surprising nature of their
involvement, referencing past camaraderie, "These two teams
worked out together. We saw the videos." Ultimately, the
Outrunners' timely arrival forced FTR and ProtoShita into
retreat, as the ring filled with tension and the crowd
roared its approval of the unexpected heroes.
We Hear from the All Star 8-Woman Tag Match Participants
Ahead of the night's All-Star 8 Woman Tag Team Match on AEW
Collision, tensions flared in pre-match comments from all
involved participants.
Tay Melo and Anna Jay, known collectively as TayJay,
directly challenged Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. Melo
provocatively reminded them, "Megan, Penelope, you know what
happened last time? You’re just waiting for round two." Anna
Jay ominously followed up, promising, "There are so many
more ways that we want to hurt you."
Queen Aminata issued a direct threat toward Thekla,
confidently asserting, "You saw I hit hard, huh? You haven't
seen nothing yet."
Former AEW Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa aimed her
comments squarely at current ROH Women's World Champion
Athena, fiercely declaring, "Athena, I'm coming for your
title, but tonight I'm coming for you."
Athena responded dismissively, first thanking Thekla
sarcastically: "Thank you for accepting my invitation,
Spider Lady," before sharply criticizing her teammate,
saying, "I do not like you. You're crazy, and I am way
bigger than you." Athena emphasized her intentions for the
night, asserting confidently, "Tonight is about Athena Elite
Wrestling, baby. So get it together so I can have my
moment." She concluded with a condescending promise,
stating, "If you do, I'll probably make you guys some
minions."
The tension escalated dramatically as Athena walked off,
leaving Penelope Ford struggling to hold back an irate Megan
Bayne, clearly offended by Athena's dismissive tone.
Swerve Strickland vs. Shane Taylor
Empty heading
AEW Collision featured a fierce singles showdown between
Tacoma's own Swerve Strickland and Shane Taylor, the leader
of Shane Taylor Promotions, backed by significant ringside
presence from his stablemates. Nigel McGuinness emphasized
the formidable challenge for Strickland, pointing out Shane
Taylor's substantial size advantage: "85-pound weight
advantage over Swerve."
Early on, Taylor's imposing presence dominated, thwarting
Swerve's attempt at a headscissors and delivering a heavy
splash that drew gasps from the crowd. Schiavone highlighted
Taylor’s immense power, noting, "So much force because of
the weight of Shane Taylor on a suplex like that." Speaking
of Schiavone, he was also roped into some extracurricular
gambling activities by Shane Taylor Promotions at ringside.
Taylor also utilized his boxing skills, inflicting precise
strikes and painful manipulation of Swerve’s fingers,
leveraging his combat sports background to maximum effect.
Momentum shifted dramatically when Taylor ascended the ropes
for a high-risk maneuver, only to be stunned by Swerve's
resourceful counterattack. After a hard-fought struggle atop
the turnbuckle, Strickland seized the advantage, delivering
a punishing stomp from the top rope directly to Taylor’s
chest. Schiavone captured the intensity vividly, exclaiming,
"This show is called Collision. A gigantic collision with
the mat!"
Capitalizing immediately, Strickland executed the Swerve
Stomp, emphatically planting both boots into Taylor, driving
him to the canvas for the three-count and securing a
significant victory.
“Timeless” Toni Storm Has the Mother of All Messages
AEW Collision presented an intense and dramatic segment
featuring AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm, spotlighted
dramatically amid darkness, donning her striking attire
reminiscent of Carmen Sandiego. Addressing her challenger
for AEW All In: Texas, Mercedes Moné, Storm delivered sharp,
emotional words.
Storm expressed deep disappointment, saying directly to
Mercedes:
"Mercedes Moné, I am disappointed in you. Three weeks ago
you shook my hand and said we would have the biggest women's
match of all time. Since then, you've been eating steak,
playing on your telephone, and trying to kiss me."
She scornfully highlighted Mercedes' continued championship
acquisitions, interpreting them as signs of disrespect,
stating:
"Is that all I am to you? Another trophy for your shelf,
another toy for your collection?"
Declaring her dominance emphatically, Storm proclaimed:
"I am not some other mother—-er. I'm Timeless Toni Storm.
I'm the AEW Women's World Champion, and if you make one
mistake, I am going to eat you alive."
Despite her confrontational tone, Storm offered an intense
acknowledgment of Mercedes' legacy, stating sincerely:
"I sincerely believe you are the greatest of all time. I am
not, nor was I ever meant to be. I am a manic, neurotic,
erotic, sexually questionable, consistently sweating,
bottom-heavy, transatlantic whore."
With defiant confidence and brash charisma, Storm challenged
Mercedes to rise to the occasion, warning starkly:
"At All In, in front of the entire world and that little
girl watching from home, you'll look me in the eye, and
you'll realize that I'm gonna have to beat you—and you are
going to have to KILL ME."
Mixed Tag: Mark Briscoe, Hologram & Willow Nightingale vs.
MxM Collection & Taya Valkyrie
AEW Collision continued with a thrilling mixed tag match,
pitting Mark Briscoe, Willow Nightingale, and the newest
Conglomeration member, Hologram, against MxM Collection's
Mason Madden and Mansoor, alongside Taya Valkyrie,
accompanied ringside by Johnny TV.
Hologram showcased impressive athleticism early on, dazzling
with a Shotgun Dropkick and an agile Tijeras Takedown,
drawing praise from Nigel McGuinness who marveled at the
newcomer’s aerial style: "Look at Hologram go!"
Madden and Mansoor quickly shifted momentum through
effective double-team maneuvers, highlighted by an assisted
leg drop that nearly secured victory. Tony Schiavone
emphasized their teamwork, noting, "Double team, MXM working
together!"
With tension escalating, Johnny TV took advantage at
ringside, interfering and pulling on Hologram’s mask to
further weaken him. However, Hologram rallied back
impressively with a critical counter, floating over Madden
with a quick DDT, allowing the tag to Mark Briscoe.
Briscoe stormed into action, channeling his signature
"Redneck Kung Fu," laying waste to Mansoor and Madden.
Schiavone enthusiastically called Briscoe’s burst of
offense, highlighting a Running Dropkick and Briscoe’s
famous strikes.
In the match’s chaotic climax, Hologram executed his
spectacular Airplane Spin transitioning perfectly into his
trademark Portal Bomb, the very move that previously secured
his 4 million pesos victory. With Valkyrie and Mansoor
stunned, Mark Briscoe climbed to the top, delivering his
signature Froggy Bow, decisively pinning Madden for the
victory.
Kris Statlander Crosses Paths With the Death Riders … But
Not Just Yuta
In a tense backstage interview on AEW Collision, Kris
Statlander expressed frustration over being repeatedly
overlooked. She emphatically stated, "Are we really gonna do
this every single week? Everyone loves Willow, but when was
the last time I wrestled?" Clearly irritated at her
exclusion from the night's All-Star eight-woman tag match,
she challenged, "If you think I'm gonna stand here and talk
about how important everyone else is, you are dead wrong,
Lexy."
The interview quickly intensified when Wheeler Yuta
interrupted, smugly remarking, "Kris, I hate to say I told
you so." Statlander swiftly and angrily shut him down,
commanding, "Enough, you shut your grimy little mouth, Yuta.
I know who you are and I know what this is, and if you think
I want any part of it, then you better get out of my face,"
before physically pushing Yuta to the ground.
Turning abruptly, Statlander bumped directly into Yuta’s
fellow Death Rider, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley,
inadvertently dropping her phone. In a surprising and quiet
moment, Moxley bent down, picked up her phone, handed it
back, and gave her pointed advice, saying calmly but firmly:
"Don't ever let anybody tell you who you are and what you
are worth."
Moxley's unexpected words left a powerful impression,
closing the intense segment on a thought-provoking note.
A Golden Moment Interrupts Don Callis and Kazuchika Okada
AEW Collision featured an explosive in-ring segment whem
Tony Schiavone hosted a contentious interview with Don
Callis, accompanied by AEW Continental Champion and newest
Don Callis Family member, Kazuchika Okada. The crowd reacted
vehemently to Callis, prompting Nigel McGuinness to label
him "one of the most hated men in AEW history."
Callis took immediate control, cutting Schiavone off to
proudly introduce Okada, declaring him "the greatest
wrestler in the history of New Japan, better than Rikidozan,
better than Inoki, better than Tanahashi—the newest member
of the Don Callis Family, Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada."
The segment intensified when Callis revealed disturbing
footage from a brutal recent attack on Kenny Omega, leaving
him severely hurt and coughing up blood. Schiavone reacted
passionately, denouncing it as "one of the more
despicable...one of the worst things" ever seen. Callis
cruelly mocked Omega’s injuries, saying sarcastically, "I
know you're laying in a hospital bed right now with tubes
coming out of your guts," before coldly asserting Omega's
isolation: "You destroyed your relationship with the Bucks.
You destroyed your relationship with me. You are alone in
this world and you don't have one friend left."
Interrupting Callis, Mark Briscoe passionately defended
Omega, bluntly stating, "Now Don Callis, my lord, would you
please shut the hell up? You weird-looking bastard!" Briscoe
proudly declared his friendship with Omega and teased a
stunning reveal, insisting, "I am not his only friend."
This prompted the shocking AEW return of Kota Ibushi—Omega's
legendary tag partner from their iconic run as the "Golden
Lovers." Nigel McGuinness, caught by surprise, exclaimed,
"Wait a second—it's Kenny's longtime tag partner from Japan,
one-half of the Golden Lovers!" Ibushi stormed the ring,
immediately confronting the Callis Family and leveling them
with his signature explosive strikes.
As Ibushi cleared the ring, standing tall after exchanging
blows with Okada, it became clear Omega indeed had powerful
allies ahead of his AEW Unified Championship clash with
Okada at AEW All In: Texas, dramatically shifting the
dynamics heading into their monumental showdown.
Chaos Erupts, and the Patriarch Disapproves
A chaotic segment unfolded on AEW Collision as a brawl
spilled dramatically into the arena, featuring the Learning
Tree—Big Bill and Bryan Keith—taking on the Workhorsemen,
Anthony Henry and JD Drake. Announcer Nigel McGuinness
described the sudden violence vividly, noting, "We saw last
week these teams saying they were ready to fight. They're
certainly ready now."
The brawl showcased brutal aggression, with Big Bill
delivering a particularly impactful blow by slamming JD
Drake's head onto the ring steps, prompting McGuinness to
exclaim dramatically that Drake's head "was slammed on the
ring steps like a melon." Anthony Henry desperately
attempted to shield his partner but endured relentless
punishment, highlighted by Big Bill’s devastating
"sledgehammer blow."
The chaos was momentarily paused as Christian Cage,
accompanied by Nick Wayne and the Patriarchy, interrupted,
seizing attention and ordering, "Seattle, sit down and shut
your mouths while I conduct my business." Christian
disparaged the brawlers for encroaching on his airtime and
promised a significant announcement. Praising his protégé
Nick Wayne, Cage provocatively proclaimed, "The only two
good things ever come outta the state of Washington are the
matriarch and my son Nick."
Cage boldly announced his intent to pursue history as AEW’s
first-ever father-son tag team champions, asserting
confidently, "I think it's time Nick and I embark on a
journey… that will see us become the first-ever father and
son AEW Tag Team champions."
Big Bill fired back mockingly at Christian's paternal claims
regarding Wayne, joking crudely about Wayne's lineage:
"Maybe your adopted son, because if all the things that I've
heard about Mama Wayne are true, that kid's real father
could be literally anybody." Pointing humorously to random
audience members, Bill heightened the insult, "Oh my God.
That could be your father right there."
Christian responded sharply, dismissing Bill's challenge to
fight immediately, and scathingly questioned Big Bill's
sobriety, asking mockingly, "Is that you talking or is that
the bottle talking? Did you fall off the wagon this
weekend?" He firmly concluded the confrontation by asserting
dominance, "You don't call the shots around here. I do. I am
the patriarch Christian Cage. We are the Patriarchy. We run
AEW. I am the face of TNT now and forever."
Are Anthony Bowens and Daddy Ass Still on the Same Page?
In a tense backstage interaction following AEW Summer
Blockbuster in Portland, Anthony Bowens confronted Daddy Ass
(Billy Gunn), expressing frustration and urgency about their
current trajectory. Bowens sharply emphasized his
dissatisfaction, stating, "You're supposed to be helping me.
Every week you're supposed to be helping me get better,"
before pointedly questioning, "Do you want me to turn into
Max Caster?"
Daddy Ass responded defensively yet empathetically, noting
the physical toll he'd taken earlier: "Dude, I got kicked in
the face." Bowens, clearly exasperated, stressed the
immediate need for improvement, declaring firmly, "We need
to get our act together quick, 'cause I am the pride of
professional wrestling. I need to climb the ladder in this
company, and I need to win." Daddy Ass acknowledged Bowens'
urgency as the 5-Tool Player walked off, simply replying, "I
know that," recognizing the gravity of their situation as
they move forward.
JetSpeed (Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey) vs. Gates
of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)
AEW Collision featured an electrifying tag team encounter as
JetSpeed—Kevin Knight and "Speedball" Mike Bailey—clashed
against the Gates of Agony, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona.
Ricochet joined Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness on
commentary, adding his typical … sharp remarks throughout.
The match began with dominance from the Gates of Agony. Toa
Liona demonstrated his raw power early on, impressively
countering an attempted armdrag and delivering what
Schiavone described as a "big seismic slam." Ricochet
mockingly appreciated Liona’s offense on Speedball Bailey,
claiming Bailey’s face was "just good for punching and
slapping."
Kevin Knight showcased incredible athleticism, landing a
soaring dropkick that Schiavone praised for the "elevation
he gets" from his "strong legs." However, the Gates quickly
regained control. Kaun floored Knight with what Schiavone
colorfully labeled not a clothesline but "a punch with a
bicep."
The match shifted dramatically when Knight and Bailey
rallied with dynamic teamwork. Knight disrupted the Gates’
planned double-team move, "Open the Gates," saving Bailey at
a critical juncture. JetSpeed executed a series of
impressive combination maneuvers, highlighted by Knight
hitting a lungblower followed by Bailey landing sharp knees
directly into Kaun’s midsection.
In the climactic finish, Kevin Knight ascended to the top
rope, landing a perfectly executed UFO Frog Splash on Bishop
Kaun to score the decisive pinfall. The announcers praised
the young team, emphasizing the magnitude of their victory,
calling it one of their most significant accomplishments yet
on AEW Collision.
All Star 8-Woman Tag Match: TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay),
Thunder Rosa & Queen Aminata vs. ROH Women’s World Champion
Athena, Thekla, Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford
AEW Collision's main event featured an explosive All Star 8-
Woman Tag Team match, as Tay Melo and Anna Jay (TayJay)
joined forces with Queen Aminata and Thunder Rosa to take on
the formidable team of ROH Women's World Champion Athena,
Thekla, Penelope Ford, and Megan Bayne.
The match quickly showcased the impressive athleticism and
cohesive teamwork from both sides. Early on, Penelope Ford
demonstrated sharp agility, hitting Queen Aminata with a
precise Shotgun Dropkick. Meanwhile, Megan Bayne impressed
with raw power, effortlessly hoisting Aminata overhead,
prompting Tony Schiavone to remark on Bayne's imposing
dominance.
Athena, described as "one of the most dangerous champions in
the world today," by McGuinness, displayed both technical
prowess and brutal offense, landing a perfect Fisherman's
Bomb Suplex. Athena's confidence was palpable as she
executed a flawless handspring maneuver, boldly asserting
her dominance alongside teammates Ford and Bayne.
In a highlight sequence, Queen Aminata and Penelope Ford
simultaneously ascended opposing turnbuckles and executed a
synchronized Double Moonsault onto their competitors outside
the ring, eliciting amazement from the announcers.
As the chaos intensified, Tay Melo nearly secured victory
for her team with a fierce Swinging DDT, only thwarted by a
timely save from Megan Bayne. Bayne, showing tremendous
strength, executed a remarkable double-team slam maneuver,
prompting Nigel McGuinness to exclaim it was "unbelievable"
raw power.
In the climactic moments, Thunder Rosa and Athena exchanged
stiff strikes and counters, displaying deep-seated rivalry
and intensity. Rosa delivered a devastating Death Valley
Driver, followed by a brutal reverse neckbreaker, leaving
Athena stunned. Rosa appeared poised for victory until
sudden outside interference shifted momentum.
In a shocking twist, ROH Television Champion Red Velvet,
Athena’s teammate for ROH Global Wars, covertly slid
Athena's championship belt into the ring. Utilizing the
distraction expertly, Athena capitalized by striking Rosa
with the championship belt, quickly securing the pinfall
victory. Tony Schiavone noted the controversial conclusion,
stating, "She helped out Athena get the win here on
Collision."
The thrilling main event underscored the intense rivalries
within AEW's women's division, leaving lingering animosity
and setting the stage for continued conflict in future
showdowns.
