Hangman Adam Page opened the show at the historic Arena
México by delivering a heartfelt in-ring promo entirely in
Spanish. He humorously apologized upfront for his language
skills, stating, "Lo siento por mi español, porque no es
mejor, pero es un poco mejor que en muchos gringos" ("I'm
sorry about my Spanish, because it's not the best but it's a
little better than many gringos").
Reflecting on his youth, Hangman recounted personal
experiences from his family's tobacco farm, where several
Mexican workers became influential figures in his life.
"Eran muy trabajadores, eran honestos y cuidaban de sus
familias" ("They were very hardworking, honest, and took
care of their families"), he said, emphasizing their
honesty, work ethic, and commitment to family values.
Page used this anecdote to underline the power of unity and
collaboration: "Todos somos mejores cuando trabajamos
juntos" ("We are all better when we work together"). He
extended gratitude to the fans and celebrated the
partnership between AEW and CMLL, stating confidently,
"Cuando trabajamos juntos, podemos cambiar el mundo" ("When
we work together, we can change the world").
Back into character...Shifting tone, Hangman addressed the
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, acknowledging his regret at
not competing in a match that night. However, with a
determined grin, he promised the crowd a confrontation,
saying provocatively, "Después de eso, le voy a partir su
madre" ("After that, I'm going to kick his ass").
Hangman concluded warmly, thanking the passionate audience
in Arena México and promising a thrilling event, marking a
memorable kickoff for the evening.
