Joel Goodhart’s Tri-State Wrestling Alliance (TWA) was one
of the largest independent wrestling companies of the early-
1990s, attracting crowds of thousands, big-name talent from
across the world, and leaving an undeniable influence on the
entire sport, even directly inspiring Tod Gordon to launch
the era of “Extreme”. Now, nearly 35 years after its final
