Will Ospreay Challenges Swerve Strickland, Gets Interrupted
To start off AEW Fyter Fest, Tony Schiavone welcomed Will
Ospreay to address recent events involving Hangman Adam Page
and Swerve Strickland. Reflecting candidly on his
unsuccessful attempt to unify the two against the Death
Riders, Ospreay openly admitted, "It's embarrassing... it's
not my brightest idea to try and get Swerve and Hangman on
the same page. They actually hate one another."
Nevertheless, he emphasized the necessity for unity,
insisting, "They're not the enemy here. The enemy's Jon
Moxley."
Ospreay passionately addressed Moxley directly, stating,
"Jon Moxley has said on this show he hates what AEW has
become. I've got a fantastic idea, Jon—piss off then." He
confidently highlighted AEW stars who fuel the company's
success: "People like myself, like Hangman, like Swerve,
like Toni Storm, like Kenny Omega are the reason why AEW has
momentum again."
Expressing firm commitment to Hangman, Ospreay declared,
"I've given Hangman Page my word. My word means something. I
will play a part in ensuring that world title comes back."
Recognizing the brewing threat between Swerve and Hangman,
he also addressed Swerve directly, "Listen to me and listen
to me clear. I love you, brother... but before I take a
bullet for you, I will take a bullet for AEW." Ospreay
challenged Swerve openly for a match, promising, "Next week
at Summer Blockbuster, I'm calling you out for a fight,
lad."
The intensity escalated further when Lio Rush and Action
Andretti interrupted. Mocking Ospreay’s heartfelt speech,
Andretti dismissively taunted, "It's a little powwow you got
going on right now with Tony Schiavone. It's real cute."
Rush followed, sarcastically applauding Ospreay as "a true
Brit," before sharply stating, "If there's one thing that I
know about Brits... it's that they like to talk a lot... And
you out here doing a lot of yapping."
With pointed aggression, Rush directly insulted Ospreay,
claiming, "The worst thing about AEW is your dumb ass."
Fired up, Ospreay enthusiastically accepted Rush’s
provocation for a fight later that night, shouting
confidently to the approving crowd, "We're sold out, baby!
I've got me fake tan on, bruv! I've got me crime fighting
pants upstairs. Anyone wanna see a Will Ospreay match
tonight?" Ospreay concluded with determination, telling
Rush, "Tonight on Collision, let me get in my crime fighting
pants, and I'll see you in the ring, brother."
Jon Moxley vs. Mark Briscoe
AEW Fyter Fest next featured a fierce, non-title battle
between AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Mark Briscoe,
marked by intense physicality and interference from the
Death Riders at ringside.
Both competitors started aggressively, with Briscoe
immediately employing his signature "Redneck Kung Fu,"
raining blows onto Moxley and delivering a punishing series
of strikes. Briscoe showcased agility and precision, notably
executing a sharp baseball-slide uppercut and a scissor kick
through the ropes to send Moxley reeling to the outside.
The match momentum swung significantly due to interference
by Wheeler Yuta, who distracted the referee allowing Moxley
to send Briscoe face-first into the steel ring post, opening
a nasty gash. Moxley exploited this injury ruthlessly, using
sharp elbow strikes to widen the cut further.
Briscoe battled valiantly, mounting a thrilling comeback
highlighted by his "Froggy Bow" attempt aimed right at
Moxley’s groin, but Moxley countered effectively by locking
in a submission. Briscoe desperately fought back and finally
delivered his devastating finishing move, the "Jay Driller,"
but astonishingly, Moxley became the first in AEW to kick
out of the maneuver.
Attempting a rare "Cutthroat Driver," Briscoe was stopped
again by Moxley, who swiftly countered, ultimately seizing
control with a brutal spike to Briscoe's head. Moxley then
decisively locked in the "Bulldog Choke," transitioning
briefly before reapplying and maintaining relentless
pressure. The referee, seeing Briscoe unable to respond,
called for a stoppage, awarding the victory to Moxley by
referee stoppage due to the Bulldog Choke.
Despite the loss, Briscoe's resilience was evident, having
endured substantial interference and physical punishment
from Moxley and the Death Riders.
AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm & Mina
Shirakawa vs. Julia Hart & Skye Blue
An intense women's tag match unfolded as AEW Women’s World
Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm teamed up with Mina Shirakawa
to face Julia Hart and Skye Blue. TBS Champion Mercedes Moné
joined commentary, noting confidently, "Since I love serving
looks and eating up the competition, I think I’m gonna enjoy
this match way better with a table for one. Bring me my
table and my steak."
The bout began swiftly, with Shirakawa executing a sharp
elbow strike followed by a crisp wraparound kick to Skye
Blue. Storm and Shirakawa quickly displayed synergy, using
tandem offense including a coordinated back elbow and splash
combination. Blue showed resilience, escaping a "Glamorous
Driver" attempt from Shirakawa with agility.
Julia Hart and Skye Blue took control by isolating Shirakawa
effectively. Hart’s agile assault included a running back
elbow and skillful manipulation of the ropes. Together, Hart
and Blue demonstrated precise teamwork, notably landing a
devastating double-team maneuver that left Shirakawa dazed.
Throughout the match, Mercedes Moné remained an interested
observer, seemingly unimpressed initially, absorbed by her
ringside luxuries. However, her demeanor shifted slightly
when Storm faced adversity. Moné noticeably smiled, amused
at Storm’s struggle, highlighting her mental advantage
heading into their upcoming clash at All In Texas.
In a pivotal moment, Shirakawa fought back with a dynamic
aerial move resembling a Sling Blade from the top rope,
finally enabling a crucial tag to Storm. The champion
immediately changed the bout's momentum, unleashing powerful
offense, including an explosive shotgun dropkick and a
commanding hip attack to regain control.
The match culminated dramatically when Storm executed a
punishing German suplex, further weakening Skye Blue. She
quickly transitioned into her decisive TCM chicken wing
submission hold. Blue faded quickly, leaving the referee no
choice but to declare Storm and Shirakawa victorious via
submission.
MJF and Will Ospreay Confrontation
Lexy Nair spoke with Will Ospreay ahead of his match against
Lio Rush, also highlighting his upcoming clash with Swerve
Strickland in Portland, Oregon. The conversation swiftly
escalated when MJF interrupted, offering unsolicited advice.
MJF insisted he came with good intentions, stating, "I'm
actually coming here to help you. You need to stay out of
Swerve and the cowboy's business." He explained his
rationale bluntly: "If you take Swerve out when he would've
taken out cowboy, his chances of winning the world title
drastically go up. And to make matters worse, if you can
actually get them to get along well, then cowboy's a shoo-in
to win the world title." MJF then sharply reminded Ospreay
of his past loss, saying, "Maybe you don't remember because
he knocked you clean the hell out at Double or Nothing, but
you can't beat Hangman."
Unimpressed, Ospreay responded dismissively, "That's lovely,
mate. Have you got anything more to say? Because I've got a
match later on." He accused MJF of self-interest,
contrasting himself by stating, "Me, I'm thinking about
AEW." Ospreay then confidently challenged MJF's intentions:
"You don't want Hangman to win the belt because you have no
chance of beating Hangman on your best day."
MJF, looking to rattle Ospreay further, provocatively asked,
"Hey, quick question. How's your son Harry doing?" The
tension spiked immediately as Ospreay bristled at the
personal jab, and he sharply replied, "Are you—?"
Before matters could escalate further, The Hurt Syndicate
arrived, led by MVP. MVP defused the tension subtly,
remarking calmly yet assertively to Ospreay, "Mr. Ospreay,"
before turning to MJF, stating pointedly, "Young Maxwell
Jacob Friedman, or more appropriately, the Hurt Syndicate—we
have business elsewhere tonight. Good luck to you in your
match."
Bobby Lashley lingered briefly, straightening out Ospreay’s
shirt with a subtle yet telling gesture before exiting.
MJF Makes His Intentions Clear, Backed By The Hurt Syndicate
Empty heading
The Hurt Syndicate—Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, MVP and
MJF—stepped into the ring at AEW Fyter Fest, immediately
asserting dominance. MVP began boldly: "This is an official
announcement from The Hurt Syndicate," setting the stage for
a confident address to Denver.
MVP further declared, praising his team's invincibility:
"I'm standing with the absolute greatest tag team that ever
existed in the history of the sport. You could put together
your dream team… and they couldn't remove the championships
from the waists of these two mega stars." He challenged any
contenders directly, asserting forcefully, "There is no one
capable of beating the Standard of Excellence and the
Almighty for the AEW Tag Team Championships."
After MVP concluded, he respectfully turned over to MJF,
remarking, "I would like you all to show respect to the
young genius Maxwell Jacob Friedman."
MJF, in characteristic abrasive style, immediately
confronted the booing crowd: "I'd appreciate some silence
while I'm speaking, it's a little rude." He emphasized his
ambition, stating emphatically, "I want gold, just like my
best friends Bob and Shelton have. I want back my AEW World
Championship." MJF targeted lucha libre legend Mistico ahead
of AEW’s upcoming Grand Slam Mexico event, sarcastically
mocking, "Mistico, your country believes you're the best
wrestler in the world... that can't be true, because the
best wrestler in the world doesn't hail from Mexico, he
hails from the only country that's worth a damn—the United
States of America." Taunting the Mexican audience further,
he claimed superiority, proudly noting, "I'm a megastar,
baby!"
MJF condescendingly promised to evaluate Mistico’s
worthiness for a future match, concluding sharply, "When it
comes to the Syndicate, it ain't personal, it's just
business."
This prompted an unexpected interruption as Komander,
Speedball Bailey, and Kevin Knight emerged. MVP mockingly
greeted them: "We got White Sho'Nuff, we got Bruce Leroy,
and we got the Blue Ranger. What are we doing here? What do
you morons want?"
Komander passionately confronted MJF: "You disrespect
Mistico, you disrespect lucha, you disrespect me." Speedball
Bailey challenged confidently, "You said you wanted the
best. Well, in front of you is a group of international
killers."
Kevin Knight stepped forward decisively, addressing MJF
sharply, "Now Maxwell, I know you may be a little bit
uncultured, slightly unseasoned… I'm gonna keep it real
short and sweet for your simple ass: Hurt Syndicate, we can
get it poppin' right here tonight, here in the Mile High
City, baby."
However, MVP refused the immediate challenge firmly,
responding, "Absolutely not, because you guys haven't earned
it," leaving the trio determined to prove themselves to the
dominant champions.
This verbal showdown at Fyter Fest intensified the rivalry,
setting an explosive stage for future confrontations.
LFI vs. Komander, Speedball Bailey & Kevin Knight
The highly anticipated AEW Fyter Fest trios match began
chaotically, with La Facción Ingobernable (RUSH, Dralístico,
and The Beast Mortos) quickly asserting dominance. Early in
the contest, Komander was violently driven skull-first into
the steel ring steps, while RUSH relentlessly punished Kevin
Knight, repeatedly slamming him headfirst into the announce
desk.
Despite this early dominance by LFI, the resilient team of
Komander, Speedball Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight
(collectively referred to by commentators as "Jet Speed")
fought back impressively. Knight, fresh from an intense
competition tour in Japan, demonstrated his tenacity with an
impactful arm drag on RUSH, while Bailey followed up with a
precise dropkick to RUSH's head.
LFI utilized their aggressive, rule-breaking tactics,
highlighted by Mortos forcefully hurling Bailey onto his
teammates at ringside. Dralístico displayed his athleticism
with a snapmare and powerful dropkick, while Mortos
delivered punishing offense, including a potent elbow drop
from the top rope.
A turning point came when Komander tagged in, executing a
breathtaking assisted DDT from the shoulders of Knight and
Bailey onto Dralístico. Komander continued his momentum,
landing a spectacular Moonsault Press for a close two-count.
Later, Kevin Knight showcased impressive strength,
countering RUSH’s offense into a devastating backbreaker.
The frenetic pace escalated as all competitors exchanged
high-impact moves. LFI nearly secured victory with a tandem
attack: Dralístico hitting a precision diving double stomp,
RUSH landing a German Suplex, and Mortos delivering a
thunderous Samoan Drop, yet Knight heroically broke up the
pinfall.
In the climactic moments, Bailey connected with a full-
extension Thrust Kick, stunning Mortos. Knight and Bailey
then perfectly executed a tandem maneuver, setting up
Komander for a dazzling dive to the outside, effectively
neutralizing RUSH and Dralístico. This allowed Kevin Knight
to secure victory decisively, landing his signature UFO
(Unidentified Flying Opponent) on The Beast Mortos for the
pinfall victory.
Post-match, MVP and The Hurt Syndicate (Shelton Benjamin,
Bobby Lashley, and MJF) re-emerged. MVP mockingly applauded
Jet Speed, saying sarcastically, "You got your asses kicked
for about eight to ten minutes, but you had the temerity to
pull it off." He then provocatively declared, "Next week,
you guys get to face Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, and
MJF in a trios match. But the beautiful part of that is you
get a preview of that ass whooping right now."
However, MVP's plans swiftly unraveled. Knight, Bailey, and
Komander immediately countered, repelling The Hurt Syndicate
with rapid-fire dropkicks and high-flying maneuvers,
culminating in Komander spectacularly springing onto MJF,
sending The Hurt Syndicate retreating.
Paragon and Daniel Garcia Join Forces
In a brief but significant backstage segment at AEW Fyter
Fest, Adam Cole of Paragon approached Daniel Garcia with an
earnest proposition. Acknowledging their complicated past,
Cole began respectfully:
"Danny, I appreciate you giving us the time, and listen, I
know we've had our battles in the past, but I would like to
think we have a shared mutual respect for one another."
Cole quickly shifted to their common adversary, the Don
Callis Family, suggesting a united front against them. He
passionately proposed: "More importantly, we can't stand the
Don Callis Family. So I had an idea—I feel like later
tonight, the four of us, against the four of them, we whoop
their ass and teach them a lesson. What do you say?"
Garcia thoughtfully considered the invitation, responding
decisively:
"We definitely got some respect for each other or something
like that. There's a lot of things that I want right now.
Getting my hands on the Don Callis Family is number one, so
I'll see you guys out there."
Cole confidently concluded the brief exchange with
determination:
"We'll see you out there, Danny."
The Patriarchy Speaks
Christian Cage and Ring of Honor Television Champion Nick
Wayne of The Patriarchy spoke with interviewer Lexy Nair.
Christian immediately addressed the Denver audience with
characteristic disdain: "First things first, Denver. I
realize the thin air up here cuts off the airflow to your
brain and it gives a great excuse for you all not being very
intelligent. Even you have to be smart enough to realize
when The Patriarch appears before you, you sit down and shut
your mouth while I conduct my business."
Turning his attention to Nick Wayne, Christian praised his
recent efforts overseas while subtly criticizing his
performance:
"Nick had a tremendous showing at the New Japan Best of the
Super Juniors, but he didn't win the tournament. He wrestled
14 matches in 22 days, but no excuses. Right, Nick?"
Christian then firmly reminded Wayne of his
responsibilities:
"That kind of schedule would earn anybody a well-deserved
night off, but you aren't anybody, Nick. You are the son of
Christian Cage. You are the Ring of Honor Television
Champion, and tonight we're gonna keep the momentum going
because you're gonna defend your championship right here in
Denver."
Surprised yet undeterred, Wayne confidently responded:
"Great. You did this to me before I left and it was light
work for me. I mean, light work for me."
Christian, however, had more to reveal, interrupting Wayne's
confidence:
"Well, you didn't let me finish, Nick, because the stakes
are a little bit higher this time. 'Cause not only will you
be defending your Ring of Honor Television Championship,
you'll be defending it in a four-way."
Ending with a cryptic note, Christian remarked as he left
with Shayna:
"Now, Shayna, let's go find a place to lay down. I mean,
actually, maybe we should watch this one up close. Don't
worry. Kip's working on—he's working on an even bigger
surprise, Nick."
Max Caster’s Open Challenge Answered by Powerhouse Hobbs
Platinum Max Caster confidently took center stage,
immediately declaring himself the top talent: "You are
looking live at the best wrestler alive."
Caster carried a petition asserting his greatness,
humorously addressing referee Paul Turner, stating: "And in
my hand is a petition acknowledging that Platinum Max is, in
fact, the best wrestler alive. And Mr. Referee, I don't
believe you've signed this yet." When Excalibur questioned
if this was a conflict of interest, Caster dismissively
replied, "No. So please do me the honors and sign your
name."
Turning to the Colorado crowd, Caster encouraged them to
chant his praises, announcing, "I know all the Maximaniacs
here in the Mile High City wanna do one thing and one thing
only, and that's chant my name." He led an enthusiastic, if
awkward, chant: "Let's go Max. You're the best wrestler
alive." But after a tepid response, Caster candidly
remarked, "I'll be honest, guys. That was bad."
Undeterred, Caster officially opened his challenge,
declaring dramatically, "But tonight is the return of the
five-minute Open Challenge with Platinum Max. So right now,
give me five minutes on the clock, and let's see who can
survive five with the best wrestler alive."
Caster, however, was blindsided when Powerhouse Hobbs
surprisingly appeared from behind rather than through the
entrance ramp, catching Max unprepared. Hobbs, dressed
casually yet imposing, immediately attacked, quickly
overwhelming Caster. After absorbing minimal offense—
including an ineffective eye poke and a thwarted double jump
axe-handle attempt by Caster—Hobbs crushed Caster with a
bone-jarring side slam for an emphatic victory with
significant time remaining.
As commentator Excalibur quipped, "Powerhouse Hobbs survives
the best wrestler alive. I don't know if Max Caster survived
Will Hobbs," the dominance of Hobbs was undeniably
established at Fyter Fest.
AEW International Championship 4-Way Match: Brodie King vs.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mascara Dorada vs. Kenny Omega
AEW Fyter Fest showcased an intense 4-Way battle for Kenny
Omega's AEW International Championship. Competing alongside
Omega were powerhouse Brody King, luchador sensation Mascara
Dorada, and skilled technician Claudio Castagnoli.
The action ignited swiftly, with Castagnoli immediately
blindsiding Omega. Brody King asserted dominance early with
fierce strikes and explosive power, including a thunderous
sandwich collision crushing both Dorada and Castagnoli
simultaneously into the corner.
Mascara Dorada demonstrated dazzling agility, soaring over
the ropes with a breathtaking Tope con Giro to flatten
opponents outside. Omega showed his grit by delivering
precise, impactful Snapdragon suplexes, astonishingly
lifting and throwing even the massive Brody King.
Amidst the chaos, Claudio Castagnoli aggressively targeted
Omega's weakened midsection, a known vulnerability following
Omega’s health struggles. Castagnoli executed a debilitating
Gutwrench Rib Breaker, continually assaulting Omega's
abdomen to exacerbate lingering injuries.
In the match’s frantic climax, Dorada shined spectacularly,
executing a mesmerizing Shooting Star Press outside the
ring. Back inside, Dorada attempted his finishing Dorada
Screwdriver on Omega, nearly clinching victory. Castagnoli
persistently attacked with powerful European uppercuts and a
devastating Neutralizer on Brody King, narrowly missing
championship glory due to Omega's timely intervention.
Ultimately, Kenny Omega seized victory, hitting Mascara
Dorada decisively with the One-Winged Angel for the pinfall,
successfully retaining the AEW International Championship in
this fiercely contested match.
The victory celebration was short-lived, however, as AEW
Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada emerged, confronting
Omega in a moment charged with their storied rivalry. The
confrontation swiftly escalated physically. Okada attacked
Omega, delivering precise strikes to Omega’s vulnerable
abdomen, exploiting the champion’s fatigued state.
Attempting his signature Rainmaker clothesline, Okada nearly
incapacitated Omega, but Omega astutely evaded, countering
with a swift V-Trigger to repel Okada from the ring.
Ricochet’s Scouting Heats Up
Backstage at AEW Fyter Fest, Ricochet delivered a confident
and pointed message directly to the audience, immediately
setting a contemptuous tone:
"That's correct. You people at home will have the pleasure
of viewing four hours of AEW because tonight is Fyter Fest."
Quickly clarifying his lack of in-ring participation for the
evening, Ricochet made no effort to hide his disdain for the
event's location:
"No, no, no, no, no. I will not be competing tonight. No
way. Not in this crappy town."
Despite not wrestling, Ricochet explained he intended to
remain highly active throughout the night, scouting
potential allies for his own ambitions:
"Throughout the entire night, you will see me watching.
You'll see me looking, you will see me searching for people
who have all the attributes and everything that I am looking
for."
Ricochet was explicit in describing the ideal type of
competitor he wanted to recruit—individuals who would
display unwavering loyalty:
"People who will follow, who will serve and do everything
that I say to make sure that my quest for gold becomes a
reality."
He concluded his statement emphatically, highlighting his
own greatness and setting a clear standard for any who
wished to join him:
"People who will give everything they've got to continue to
show that Ricochet is out of this world."
Will Ospreay vs. Lio Rush Ends With a Save by Hangman
AEW Fyter Fest delivered a high-paced contest between Will
Ospreay and Lio Rush, a match set in motion by Rush and
Action Andretti’s earlier interruption. Rush showed early
arrogance and remarkable quickness, immediately setting the
tone. Nigel McGuinness noted, "These are two men that can
move lightning quick, as fast as anyone in the job today."
The match swung dynamically, showcasing Rush’s spectacular
offense, notably his precision Tope Suicida, likened by
Nigel to "a missile between the lower and middle ropes."
Rush further impressed with a stunning Poison Rana from the
ropes and a sharp flying Frog Splash for a near fall, nearly
stunning everyone in attendance.
Ospreay rallied back, exhibiting his renowned agility with a
"Sky Twister Kick," and a punishing OsCutter that almost
sealed the victory. However, interference from Action
Andretti briefly hindered Ospreay’s momentum, though he
quickly regained control by executing a gravity-defying dive
onto both Andretti and Rush outside.
The thrilling bout concluded dramatically as Ospreay
countered Rush’s attempted use of a chain, quickly
capitalizing with a pinfall to secure the win.
Following his loss, Rush immediately attacked Ospreay
alongside Andretti, unleashing a relentless double-team
assault culminating in a brutal assisted neckbreaker. Nigel
McGuinness observed, "While Lio Rush may have lost the
match, boy, he made a statement after it."
As the attack intensified, Hangman Adam Page stormed the
ring to make the timely save, nearly delivering a
devastating Buckshot Lariat, forcing Rush and Andretti to
retreat swiftly. Page, concerned for Ospreay, requested
medical attention and shared a respectful fist bump with
him, signifying mutual respect ahead of their respective
upcoming battles.
Page then passionately addressed the crowd, emphasizing
independence and determination regarding his upcoming
championship opportunity against Jon Moxley. Page asserted,
"I am my own man and I don't need help to win the world
championship. Not from anyone—not even Will Ospreay, and
especially not from one of the worst men to ever walk this
planet."
The tension escalated further as Jon Moxley and the Death
Riders (including Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and
Wheeler Yuta) appeared ominously at ringside. Yet, in a
significant turn, despite Page’s declaration of self-
reliance, Will Ospreay returned courageously to back him up.
Tony Schiavone noted this crucial moment, emphasizing,
"Hangman said, 'I will have Will’s back,' and Will’s got his
right now."
As the situation grew increasingly volatile, Page and
Ospreay stood united, prepared to confront Moxley and his
sinister cohorts, setting a dramatic stage for further
confrontations leading up to the highly anticipated All In
event.
Don Callis Has a Surprise for Bandido & Outrunners
Don Callis confidently addressed a recent challenge from
Adam Cole: "Adam Cole, you made a challenge. I've already
accepted it. I am gonna send the Don Callis Family to take
care of it."
He then ominously warned Cole: "And if you thought what
almost happened to you last week with Kyle was bad, you wait
till tonight, kid."
Callis quickly shifted his attention to another target,
Bandido, expressing frustration over recent events:
"Because you see, Bandido, you have cost me—we, dinero—
you've cost me a lot of money."
In response, Callis openly mocked Bandido and challenged him
directly, along with Bandido’s allies: "So why don't you get
those two morons, the Outrunners—who I hate—bring them, and
I will show you problema."
He then revealed a strategic move, proudly introducing an
ally he had specifically arranged for Bandido: "And I have
booked just for you, Bandido, the greatest luchador in the
history of the great country of Mexico, ladies and
gentlemen. The great one from Mexico, the best luchador in
the history of wrestling. Welcome, Hechicero."
Hechicero stepped forward, affirming his alliance simply and
clearly:
"Yes, amigo."
FTR vs. Atlantis Jr. & Templario
Early on, Atlantis Jr. and Templario showcased impressive
teamwork and agility, delivering synchronized thrust kicks
and tandem offense, highlighted by a remarkable sequence of
Tope Suicidas onto FTR at ringside.
FTR soon shifted momentum, employing their classic
methodical style to isolate Templario. Cash Wheeler executed
a precise Powerbomb on Templario for a close two-count.
Despite facing fierce adversity, Templario fought valiantly,
impressively countering with a high-impact Shotgun Dropkick.
In the thrilling climax, multiple near-falls had fans
captivated. Atlantis Jr. and Templario nearly secured
victory following an explosive tandem Cutter. However, the
turning point came as Atlantis Jr. was brutally sent to the
floor by Harwood, leaving Templario vulnerable. FTR quickly
capitalized, executing their signature finishing move, the
devastating Shatter Machine, to pin Templario and secure the
victory.
After the match, Stokely confidently emphasized FTR's
dominance, sarcastically noting their repeated victories. He
boldly declared FTR as "the winningest tag team in AEW
history," insisting teams worldwide inevitably "fall to
FTR." Amid hostile reactions, Stokely sharply dismissed the
Denver crowd, closing with the defiant statement, "Top guys
out."
Protoshita (Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita) vs. Los
Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) and Bandido
AEW Fyter Fest featured a high-energy Trios contest as Kyle
Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero (representing
the Don Callis Family) faced off against the vibrant trio of
Los Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) and Bandido.
Early exchanges saw Bandido execute an impressive Tijeras
Takedown on Hechicero, showcasing his renowned agility.
However, Hechicero answered with a mesmerizing submission-
style offense, notably attempting a precise cross
armbreaker.
Mid-match momentum swung with thrilling aerial maneuvers.
Turbo Floyd executed a spectacular top-rope walking dive
onto opponents at ringside. Bandido and Los Outrunners
briefly dominated with double-team attacks, highlighted by
Bandido's swift Frog Splash that nearly secured a victory.
The intense closing moments saw rapid exchanges and near
falls. Kyle Fletcher dramatically countered Bandido with a
pinpoint-accurate kick to the back of the head, decisively
shifting the match. Fletcher then executed his punishing
Brainbuster to pin Bandido and secure a significant win for
his team.
Tay Melo Returns to Defend Anna Jay from Megan Bayne
Tensions escalated as Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford
viciously attacked Anna Jay. Penelope Ford taunted Anna Jay,
coldly saying, "Anna Jay, you saw what happened to your
little friend Harley. You should have just bowed down." Anna
Jay, defenseless, was overwhelmed as Ford appeared to relish
her suffering, given their long-standing animosity.
The chaos took a shocking turn when Tay Melo made a dramatic
return, storming in fiercely to defend Anna Jay just before
Bayne could toss her off of the ring ramp. With visible
intensity and determination—described by Tony Schiavone as
having "war paint on and everything"—Melo successfully drove
off Bayne and Ford, saving Anna Jay from further harm and
drastically altering the dynamics of their ongoing rivalry.
Anthony Bowens Calls Out Kyle Fletcher
Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn enthusiastically joined Lexy
Nair to share some exciting news. Bowens eagerly announced:
"I have two very, very special announcements because I would
like to declare first that this month is officially the
Pride of Pro Wrestling Month."
Billy Gunn quickly responded with excitement, stating
simply, "Yes, I love it."
Bowens then continued to build anticipation:
"And number two, I feel like we need to have a month that's
full of big moments, spectacular moments, even joy. There's
a specific person that knows a big moment or two, a guy
that's reinvented himself, a guy that's turned himself into
a protostar. So I think it would be a fantastic idea that
next week at Summer Blockbuster that I whip Kyle Fletcher's
Fletcher, all over Portland."
Bowens wrapped up with fiery confidence, addressing Fletcher
directly:
"See Kyle, strap up because you are gonna get ready to get
your ass beat by the five-tool player. Don't believe me?
Well, I've got five tools and one rule: prove them wrong."
ROH World Television Title Match: Nick Wayne vs. Sammy
Guevara vs. Lee Johnson vs. AR Fox
AEW Fyter Fest delivered a fast-paced, action-packed 4-Way
match for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship,
featuring champion Nick Wayne defending against Sammy
Guevara, Lee Johnson, and AR Fox.
The contest was filled with impressive aerial offense,
including AR Fox's remarkable dive to the outside, described
by Tony Schiavone as "unbelievable hang time." Sammy Guevara
responded with consecutive dives, displaying his athleticism
through a battering ram-like dive onto Fox.
Lee Johnson showcased remarkable agility, hitting a fluid
dive onto his opponents, while later delivering a sharp DDT
from the ropes to AR Fox. Fox continued to impress,
performing a swift dragon suplex and a dynamic sequence of
high-risk aerial attacks.
The pivotal moment came when AR Fox ascended to the top
rope, preparing for a decisive aerial move. However,
Christian Cage and Nick Wayne's mother distracted Fox,
allowing Nick Wayne to capitalize. Wayne quickly delivered a
precise spin kick to Fox’s head from the top rope, stunning
him. Wayne then decisively executed the Pain Driver,
securing the pinfall and successfully retaining his ROH
World Television Championship.
Thekla Makes Her AEW In-Ring Debut vs. Lady Frost
AEW Fyter Fest saw the highly anticipated AEW debut of "The
Toxic Spider" Thekla as she faced off against the skilled
Lady Frost. From the opening bell, Thekla showed aggressive
intensity, immediately taking control with a swift kick to
Frost’s head and innovative offense, described by Tony
Schiavone as "lying in a web" when she cleverly avoided
Frost by hanging in the ropes.
Lady Frost attempted a comeback with strong forearm shots,
but Thekla quickly regained dominance. She secured her
finishing submission hold, the Death Trap, forcing Lady
Frost to submit and securing a decisive victory in her AEW
debut.
After the match, Thekla continued her assault, viciously
pulling at Frost's mouth and face in a brutal display.
However, her relentless attack was halted by Queen Aminata,
whose presence immediately backed Thekla off. With a defiant
smile, Thekla retreated, clearly unfazed and satisfied with
her impactful debut and confrontational introduction to AEW.
