Hall of Famer Jim Ross gave an update on his health in the
latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast.

Ross is undergoing surgery tomorrow morning at 6AM and said
he was not in currently any pain. Doctors told him that the
plan is to stay in recovery in hospital for the following
six days, after which he can go home barring any
complications.

JR said that he prepared himself mentally and physically for
this, which is always stressful when it involves surgery.

When asked by his co-host Conrad Thompson to explain the
cancer situation, JR forgot which cancer he has and when
Thompson mentioned colon cancer, he said no because he had
that years ago. But, JR announced he was diagnosed with
colon cancer over a week ago.

“I can’t remember what I got. I got it in two places,” Ross
said.

JR likened his body to an old car, running it for too long
and too hard. “I’m trying to really slow down after
surgery,” he said, adding that he believes he can still do
the shifts he had with AEW but he’s not sure anyone believes
that.

Ross said he will probably talk to Tony Khan over the next
few weeks to see where he stands and put over Khan for
taking care of him ever since he signed with AEW.
