The AEW Women’s title will be on the line at Forbidden Door
with champion Thekla defending her title against Stardom’s
Starlight Kid.
Thekla, who worked for Stardom before coming to AEW, has been
thrashing the promotion and its president for quite a while
now and the champ yesterday issued the challenge to any of her
former colleagues to come over and challenge for the title.
Later in the broadcast, a video of the 24-year-old Starlight
Kid appeared, confirming the match.
Starlight Kid has never appeared on AEW television before, so
this will be her AEW debut. She is a former multi-time
champion in Stardom.
