For US readers, if you haven't voted already by mail or
through early voting, please remember to make a plan to vote
tomorrow. Don't permit anyone to attempt to interfere with
or intimidate you in making your choice.

If you are a registered voter, and someone tries to turn you
away at the polls, respond "give me a provisional ballot
with a receipt as required by law." It's illegal for anyone
to try to stop you from voting. If you experience voter
intimidation, report it to the Election Protection Hotline
(866) 687-8683 immediately.

As I said last week, in my 67 years of life, the stakes have
never been more profound for the United States, and the
world. The contrast between candidates has never been more
obvious.

Ignore the attack ads, and those who tell you certain
Americans are "the enemy within" or are "them". Look into
your heart and cast your vote, based on what you hope for
the future and not based on what attack ads want you to
fear. Vote for candidates that believe in the politics of
us....and not the politics of us and them.

In the examples that you see below, women and men of
goodwill within our little world of wrestling seek to help
others during the season of light. They help those that need
help without thought of where their parents were born, a
thought for who they love, a thought for whom they voted,
but help them simply because they needed help. May we return
to that America (and Canada) again in our everyday lives.
May we end the long national nightmare that we've lived
through over the last decade, and remember the examples of
those at Washington Crossing, at Gettysburg, at Normandy, at
Seneca, Selma, and Stonewall...to act with courage and act
with love for a common shared experience called
America.

Well, it's officially the Holiday season. Mariah Carey is
busy, and people are getting out their Christmas lights
while it's still warm...

As I have since 2017 in this AS I SEE IT blog, I report
during this season on how the independent wrestling
community reaches out to those in need.
Independent promotions throughout the United States and
Canada held events and gave back to their community;
collecting canned and non-perishable food and warm clothing,
doing fundraisers for homeless or domestic violence
shelters, animal welfare groups, and those with medical
needs...and lots of Toys for Tots drives. They did it
through (obviously) wrestling shows, plus Comic-Cons,
bowling parties, online trivia contests, chicken BBQ's, and
a dozen other means.

Wrestling indies are in the 2024 season of giving... with
131 charity shows/events announced (or having taken
place) so far to help their communities for the Holidays,
collecting donations from fans like you. More will do so
over the remaining two months of the Holiday season.

Independent wrestling promotions have raised so far in 2024
$217,708.70 cash donations, 12,286 pounds (that's
over 6 TONS)
of canned and non-perishable food,
12 toys; 250 backpacks and "tons of school supplies", 24
blankets, three pairs of gloves, 4 knit hats, over
