Two NXT newcomers, Naraku and Mason Rook, will battle it out
on next week’s episode on The CW to determine the number one
contender for the NXT title, currently held by Tony D’Angelo.
The winner of the match will earn a shot at the NXT title at
the upcoming NXT Great American Bash premium live event, which
yesterday was announced for Sunday, June 28.
Both Rook and Naraku are relatively new to the NXT scene but
both successful in their own respective non-WWE careers prior
to joining WWE’s third brand.
D’Angelo successfully defended his title last night against
Kam Hendrix in the main event of the show.
