Fightful Select reported late yesterday that multiple
sources within denied claims by @wrestlevotes that they were
moving the Performance Center to Nevada.
Reports emerged on August 27, claiming that the WWE
Performance Center would be moved to Las Vegas from Orlando.
WWE sources that Fightful Select spoke to that afternoon
claim that is false.
The original report cited Mark Shapiro as announcing that
during a meeting, which one WWE source reached out quickly
to say didn't happen unless there was another meeting held.
Additional sources within WWE say that Mark Shapiro did not
make an announcement indicating a move to Las Vegas for the
WWE PC.
Further reports by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer
indicated that those in WWE he spoke to indicated Shapiro
talked about Vegas, growth of Vegas as a sports market in
recent years and that WWE should have a presence. Didn't
say developmental moving there.
No sources at the WWE Performance Center had heard of any
plans to move to Las Vegas, and were shocked when they saw
word that it could happen. Many sources noted the proximity
of the current PC to talent on the main roster, and their
ability to easily access it. Among other things, cost of
living of trainee talent was mentioned as being far more
beneficial in Orlando.
