Gunnar Eudy, the son of former WCW and WWE star Psycho Sid,
wrote on his Facebook that his father passed away.

“I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has
passed away after battling cancer for several years,” Gunnar
wrote. “He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and
his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your
thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a
memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your
support.”

The 63-year-old started his professional wrestling career in
1987 with Continental Championship Wrestling and two years
later he found himself in WCW where he teamed up with Danny
Spivey to form The Skyscrapers tag team. A year later, he
was revealed as the newest member of The Four Horsemen where
he remained a member until he left WCW for WWF.

In 1991, Sid made his WWF debut as Sid Justice and was the
special guest referee for the SummerSlam main event between
Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior vs The Triangle of Terror.
His work that night also involved saving Macho Man and Miss
Elizabeth from an attack by Jake “The Snake” Roberts and The
Undertaker.

Sid turned heel in early 1992 and started a feud with Hulk
Hogan after he helped eliminate Hogan from the Royal Rumble,
giving Ric Flair the win and the WWF title. Their feud
culminated at WrestleMania in a match that saw the return of
the Ultimate Warrior.

Sid left the WWF in April of that year and returned to WCW
in 1993 but his stint there was short lived after he had an
altercation backstage with Arn Anderson.

He returned to the WWF for two years between 1995 and 1997
where he became the WWF champion twice, losing the titles to
Shawn Michaels at the 1997 Royal Rumble and a few months
later again at WrestleMania 13 to The Undertaker.

He would leave the company in the Summer of 1997 and after
runs on the independent circuit and ECW, he went back to WCW
where he won the World Heavyweight title. He suffered a
nasty leg injury in 2001, coming off the top rope and
snapping his leg during a match at the Sin pay-per-view,
effectively ending his in-ring career.

He last appeared on WWE television on the 1000th episode of
Monday Night Raw.
