The Icon Sting made his first appearance in AEW since his
retirement match in March, coming to the aid of Darby Allin
who was about to be set on fire in a coffin.
After Jack Perry defeated Allin, The Young Bucks came out to
help Perry dump gasoline inside and on the coffin with the
aim to light him up on fire. But as Perry got fire, the
lights went out and the popular Seek and Destroy song hit
the speakers.
Sting came out, holding a baseball bat and The Bucks and
Perry backed off in the ring. Sting got in the ring and
swung his bat as the heels tried to fend him off. Perry hit
him with a steel chair and Sting no sold the shot and Perry
ran out. The Bucks then were on the receiving end of a
double Scorpion Death Drop.
Sting exited the ring and helped Allin out of the coffin to
end the segment on a happier note.
Allin and Sting defeated The Young Bucks in the main event
of AEW Revolution in March, retaining their tag team titles
and sending Sting into retirement with a perfect record.
