Fans in Columbus chanted happy birthday to the WWE World
Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns yesterday after Raw went
off the air.
Reigns, who turned 41 yesterday, told the crowd that they
really know how to make their Tribal Chief feel special and
expressed his gratitude for every single one of them.
“This ain’t bullshit. This is the real deal. Before I get
out of here, man, it’s hard to describe this life,” Reigns
said. “It’s hard to explain, and I just try to pray and be
thankful every single day. This is the best. I hope everyone
back there [in the locker room] can feel the way I feel
these days, but I feel like a lottery winner!”
He added that everyone who’s doing well doesn’t happen
without hard work, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t
happen without the fans either.
“So whether it’s my birthday, whether it’s a Monday, a
Wednesday, a Sunday, it doesn’t matter. It’s a blessed day.
I just want to say thank you, everybody. Please get home
safe!”
Reigns will battle Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat match at
Clash in Italy, where a new stipulation was added last
night. If Fatu loses, then Fatu has to “serve” Roman and
fall in line.
