Willow Nightingale surrendered her TBS title and withdrew
from the Owen Hart Cup tournament after revealing an injury
last night on Dynamite.
Nightingale made the announcement in a backstage segment,
saying that she injured her shoulder during last weekend’s
episode of Collision and would be out for a while. The
injury came during a successful title defense against Red
Velvet.
She was scheduled to take on Alex Windsor in the tournament
this Sunday at Double or nothing and her spot is now being
replaced by a wild card entry. The match has been taken off
the PPV card and replaced by Athena vs Mina Shirakawa.
Nightingale won the TBS title from Mercedes Mone on the
December 31 episode of the New Year’s Smash Dynamite.
