We were back in Portland, Oregon, for another wild night of
action, because it was the return of AEW Playoff Palooza on
TBS and HBO Max! Two championships were on the line, and the
road to Double or Nothing continued to heat up, less than a
month away from our return to New York City for one of the
biggest events of the year.
AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR decided they wanted to open
Collision so they could accept the challenge of Adam
Copeland and Christian Cage to face them for the AEW World
Tag Team Titles at Double or Nothing in a New York Street
Fight. But if FTR wins, Cage and Cope must retire as a team.
After Cash Wheeler accepted, Dax Harwood said they also
wanted to make it an “I Quit” Match!
The Don Callis Family had two shots to win gold on Saturday
night. First, Lance Archer, CMLL World Heavyweight Champion
Hechicero and Andrade El Ídolo challenged The Conglomeration
for the AEW World Trios Titles. Still, in the end, Orange
Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly came away with
their first championship defense. Later, “Jungle” Jack Perry
defended the AEW National Championship against El Clon and
also walked away with a victory. 0-for-2 won’t make Don
Callis happy.
Plus, The Dogs and Death Riders won a wild 10-man tag over
the Young Bucks and The Rascalz, Anthony Bowens joined The
Opps, and we found out what happened between Will Ospreay
and Jon Moxley after Dynamite!
Playoff Palooza brought us plenty of highlights and
newsworthy moments from Portland! Here are your complete
Collision results!

The Conglomeration Deals with Stoke and FTR
AEW World Trios Champions The Conglomeration were all on the
same page, as Roderick Strong thanked Orange Cassidy for his
new shirt. Kyle O’Reilly was fired up to defend the AEW
World Trios Titles for the first time, but he was
interrupted by Stokely and AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR.
Stoke said FTR had something important to say to Adam
Copeland and Christian Cage. He didn’t know why O’Reilly,
Cassidy and Strong were in a rush because everyone knows
they are going to lose to Hechicero, Lance Archer and
Andrade, whom he called close, personal friends, as he stuck
his finger in each member of The Conglomeration’s chest.
Stoke and FTR left to make their way to the ring.
FTR Want Cope & Cage to Say “I Quit” at Double or Nothing
Cash Wheeler called Cope’s challenge interesting and said
bringing anything to the table was enticing, like the
stipulation that if FTR wins, Cope and Cage can no longer
team. Wheeler didn’t drag things out and accepted the
challenge for Double or Nothing! Dax Harwood wondered how it
is that Cope and Cage think they deserve the AEW World Tag
Team Titles simply because of what they did 25 years ago.
Harwood said no one wanted them here. The crowd booed that.
Harwood said Cope didn’t have to challenge their manhood to
get this match; they just had to put their careers on the
line. Harwood wanted to do one better, but the crowd was
vocal about shutting him up. He continued to say he didn’t
want any more questions or debates, so he proposed that the
New York Street Fight for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at
Double or Nothing now be an I Quit match as well!
AEW World Trios Championship Match: The Conglomeration
(Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly) (c) def.
Don Callis Family (Lance Archer, CMLL World Heavyweight
Champion Hechicero and Andrade El Ídolo)
The Conglomeration made their entrance with Stoke and FTR
still leaving the ringside area, so there was a
confrontation on the ramp with Strong and O’Reilly shoving
FTR to the ground. Cassidy reared back to hit Stokely, but
he hit the ground out of fear. The Conglomeration continued
to the ring for their championship defense.
O’Reilly started things off with Hechicero, as both men
grappled on the mat, looking for an early advantage.
Hechicero trapped O’Reilly in the ropes with a choke from
the apron and nailed a dragon screw through the ropes.
O’Reilly came back to kick Hechicero into the corner and
tagged Strong to double-team Hechicero. Cassidy tagged in
and went to the top rope, as Strong held Hechicero over his
knee. But as we’ve seen quite often, Cassidy worked his way
down the ropes and to the mat for an elbow drop to
Hechicero, which he posed for accordingly. Archer didn’t
find it as funny when he tagged in and stepped to Cassidy.
Cassidy thought better of it and tagged Strong. Strong
immediately chopped Archer, but Archer dropped him with a
shoulder tackle.
Cassidy and Andrade tagged in at the same time. Andrade
stopped Cassidy from putting his hand in his pockets. He
feigned taking his pants off, so Cassidy kicked him in the
shins with the usual OC intensity. Cassidy lined up for one
more kick, but instead pulled Andrade’s belt off and tossed
it aside. Andrade pulled up his pants and charged at
Cassidy, who moved and pulled Andrade’s pants down to his
ankles! Cassidy took Andrade down with a dropkick. O’Reilly
tagged back in and mounted Andrade in the corner for
punches. Strong tagged in for 10 punches of his own. Cassidy
tagged in…for one punch. The stunned crowd chanted “HOLY
SH*T!”
With Andrade on the floor, Cassidy lined up for a dive, but
instead, O’Reilly came running down the apron with a flying
knee to Andrade, who ducked, which left O’Reilly to get
trucked by Archer on the floor!
The Don Callis Family isolated Cassidy in their corner,
although Cassidy tried to fight all of them off to make a
tag. Finally, after taking down Hechicero and Andrade,
Cassidy sent Archer to the floor and tagged O’Reilly!
O’Reilly came in, hitting anything that moved! He put
Andrade on the mat with a leg sweep, so Hechicero tried to
cut him off, only for Strong to make a blind tag. O’Reilly
escaped Hechicero’s grasp with a pair of elbows and started
to ping-pong with Strong to attack Hechicero Andrade in the
corners. Strong used Cassidy as a weapon to batter Andrade
and Hechicero. Archer goozled both Cassidy and Strong until
O’Reilly kicked them free. Strong went after Hechicero and
eventually got him up for a fireman’s carry slam after
O’Reilly provided some assistance with a stiff kick. Strong
covered, but Hechicero kicked out at two.
O’Reilly tagged back in, and Hechicero was sent to the
ropes, where Andrade made a blind tag. Hechicero ducked
under O’Reilly and Strong and sent each to a corner with
Andrade. Hechicero hit a rising knee to Strong in one
corner, and Andrade followed with a meteora to O’Reilly in
the opposite corner. O’Reilly kicked out at two. Andrade
went into Three Amigos, but O’Reilly blocked the third with
a knee to the head and tagged Cassidy. Cassidy tried a tilt-
a-whirl DDT, so Andrade blocked it, and Cassidy turned it
into a near-fall. Cassidy fought hard for a Stundog
Millionaire and connected, but Andrade tagged Archer,
unbeknownst to Cassidy. Archer flattened Cassidy with a
crossbody and chokeslammed O’Reilly onto Strong! Archer
picked up Cassidy for Blackout, so Cassidy slipped behind
him only for Archer to catch him again with a huge
Hellacoaster! Strong and O’Reilly made the save on the pin!
After the ring cleared out a bit, Archer grabbed O’Reilly
and Strong by the throat, so Cassidy grabbed Archer by the
throat! Archer threw the two away and grabbed Cassidy, but
when he lifted Cassidy for a chokeslam, Cassidy connected
with a defensive Orange Punch in midair! O’Reilly and Strong
nailed Archer with a combination, and Cassidy hit another
Orange Punch. O’Reilly and Strong wiped Archer out with
Total Elimination, and Strong threw Cassidy on top of Archer
for the pinfall victory! The Conglomeration has its first
successful defense of the AEW World Trios Championship!
What Happened to Will Ospreay After Dynamite?
We saw footage from after Dynamite that picked up with
Claudio Castagnoli carrying Ospreay through an unknown
building alongside Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta before
dumping Ospreay in a chair opposite AEW Continental Champion
Jox Moxley, who was already sitting in his own chair. Yuta
threw water in Ospreay’s face and asked if he was awake.
Marina Shafir put a towel around Ospreay’s neck and twisted
it from behind in both directions, which appeared to give
Ospreay some relief before a quick neck massage. Moxley
commented that Shafir was good. With Castagnoli, Garcia,
Yuta and Shafir standing by, Moxley started with a simple
question to Ospreay…
“What is it you’re trying to accomplish? Other than breaking
my neck? When you go to the ring, when you get up in the
morning, where are you trying to go? Who are you trying to
be? What is it you’re chasing? I don’t think you know the
answers to those questions anymore. Almost seven years ago,
I saw you for the first time. The power you yield, the
ability you have. But this, your body, flesh, muscle, bone,
will break eventually. You can try to run through the brick
wall as many times as you want, but the wall’s not going
anywhere. But if you step back and realize there’s a door,
you can walk right through it and become whoever you want on
the other side.”
Moxley pointed to his head and continued, “This. Trained and
honed properly, it will not break. You take dominion over
your mind. We can turn you into a weapon like professional
wrestling has never seen. This thing
another.”
Moxley slipped a chair across the floor to Ospreay as the
rest of the Death Riders walked away and said, “We can
settle up, and you can be just like everybody else. Or you
can become everything you are meant to be. Your choice.”
And with that, Moxley lay face down on the cement floor with
his hands behind his back. Ospreay cautiously picked up the
chair and then said to the camera, “Get out. Now!” The
camera shut off, and we were left wondering what else
happened between Moxley and Ospreay.
Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler
Yuta) & The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors) def. Young
Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) & The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz,
Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed)
After what we just saw, Moxley joined the commentary team
for this 10-man tag. The Dogs harassed a member of the
production crew before making their way down the ramp.
Moxley said the Dogs align with the Death Riders' values and
that Gabe Kidd has been a valuable ally. The mood changed
considerably during the entrances of The Rascalz and the
Young Bucks. Tony Schiavone asked Moxley what happened with
Will Ospreay after the camera cut off in the footage we just
saw, and Moxley said that didn’t need to be addressed and
that the rest was up to Ospreay.
Xavier and Yuta opened this match for their respective
sides, but it quickly broke down into a 10-man brawl, with
Xavier finding himself on the wrong end of a 5-on-1 conveyor
belt attack in the corner. Nick Jackson came off the top,
but Castagnoli caught him and nailed a backbreaker. Nick
started to get the same 5-on-1 treatment until he avoided
Garcia in the corner. Everyone else was pulled to the
outside, so Garcia found himself on the wrong end of some
quick triple-team offense from The Rascalz. Castagnoli ate a
pair of superkicks from the Bucks and then an assisted stomp
on the back from The Rascalz. The Bucks hit a double
boot/dive combo to the outside, and that fired the crowd up
in Portland!
Back in the ring, Castagnoli put Wentz into a Sharpshooter.
Garcia put Reed in a Dragon Tamer. The Bucks were sent to
the apron but came back in with sunset flips over The Dogs.
They put Finlay and Connors in Sharpshooters of their own!
In the middle of it all, Xavier and Yuta traded near-falls!
Xavier nailed a spinning DDT and tried for the pin, which
was enough for Garcia to release his hold and break up the
fall. Garcia ate a double-team neckbreaker from the Bucks
only for Castagnoli to take them both down. Xavier knocked
Castagnoli to the floor and went to the top rope. Yuta cut
him off and brought Xavier back down with a stalling suplex!
Moxley wanted Yuta to pose, but instead, he tagged Finlay,
who brought in Connors for a stungun/shoulder tackle combo!
Xavier escaped to make the tag to Wentz. He unloaded on
Garcia and used a midair leg trip followed by a German
Suplex to send Garcia to the corner. Yuta tagged in and ate
a bunch of strikes and kicks from Wentz. Wentz got pulled to
the floor, so Reed came in and nailed a superkick on Yuta.
The Rascalz pinballed Yuta around with some lightning-fast
offense, but Yuta managed to kick out of Reed’s pin attempt.
Yuta bit Reed’s head and then ate a spin kick to the head.
Yuta bounced back and tried a German Suplex, but Reed landed
on his feet and nailed a cutter out of nowhere! Moxley was
fired up on commentary! “This is what we live for!”
Nick tagged in and handled both of The Dogs with a
headscissors/armdrag combo! Matt tagged in to hit a pair of
Northern Lights suplexes on Finlay and Connors and then a
double on Garcia and Yuta! Wow! Castagnoli floored Matt with
a clothesline and blocked a superkick by Nick, but they
stopped a pop-up uppercut with more superkicks! Connors got
a double sunset flip from the Bucks, which left him kneeling
on the mat. The Bucks hit superkicks as The Rascalz flipped
Xavier over as all three kicked Connors on the way down for
an amazing 5-on-1 attack! Matt nailed an elbow from the top.
Nick followed with a senton. Wentz hit a Spiral Tap. Reed
hit a No Cap Splash! Xavier came off the top, but was cut
off by Castagnoli, who yanked Xavier into a giant swing into
a Yuta dropkick.
The Bucks reversed Castagnoli and Yuta into a double
bulldog. Finlay got kicked to the mat, but ducked a BTE
Trigger and took out the Bucks with a big elbow strike and a
backbreaker! Wentz hit Finlay with a springboard corkscrew
kick and clotheslined Finlay over the top so hard that Wentz
went along for the ride. Castagnoli grabbed Nick on the
apron and press-slammed him onto Matt. Reed came over the
top with a cutter on Castagnoli, putting them all on the
floor! Xavier connected on a big moonsault from the top to
the floor! Back in the ring, Wentz hit a rising knee on
Connors in the corner and put him on the top turnbuckle.
Finlay came in, so Wentz dove off to hit him with a cutter!
Yuta saved Finlay from a suplex, so Finlay lifted Wentz back
up, and Connors came off the top with Fallout to get the
pinfall victory!
Shida Wants to Take the Tag Team Titles from Divine Dominion
with Stat!
Lexy Nair was with Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, Harley
Cameron and Mina Shirakawa. Cameron acknowledged that
Statlander said she wouldn’t train her, but as she started
to bring up what Shida said behind her back, Shirakawa
interjected and demanded Shida apologize. Shida said she
would talk directly to Cameron’s face. “You’re not on our
level. You’ve never been on our level. And if you don’t
believe that, my good friend Stat and I will do what you
couldn’t do and beat Divine Dominion for the tag team
titles!”
Shirakawa asked Stat how she could trust Shida. Shida
stepped in and argued in Japanese, but Cameron responded
with her own Japanese! Statlander left for her match, as
Shida and Shirakawa continued to argue.
Kris Statlander def. B3CCA
B3CCA attacked at the bell and got in a few shots, but
Statlander quickly stopped that with a back elbow and a knee
to the face. Statlander catapulted B3CCA into the middle
turnbuckle and hit a running uppercut, but B3CCA stopped
Stat with a high boot and went to the apron for a running
knee and a thrust kick. B3CCA hit a dropkick from the top
rope to Stat on the apron! Back in the ring, Statlander
grabbed B3CCA for Staturday Night Fever, but B3CCA escaped
with strikes until Statlander stopped her with one big
strike. Statlander bounced off the ropes right into a
Flatliner from B3CCA! B3CCA locked in a vice on Statlander’s
head, but Statlander quickly slipped out and stood up to hit
a Staturday Night Fever for the win! Statlander walked by
the open arms of Shida on her way up the ramp.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion Respond
to Hikaru Shida
In the back, Lexy Nair asked “Colossal” Lena Kross and
“Megasus” Megan Bayne for a response to Shida’s declaration.
Kross wondered why they should be worried. They’ve been
ready and waiting. Bayne isn’t worried about another thrown-
together tag team. Kross said they have more than the
titles. They have an understanding that there aren’t two
other women in this realm who look like they do, move like
they do and destroy like they do.
“It’s not a challenge. It’s your fate. Accept it.”
La Facción Ingobernable’s RUSH def. Adam Priest
The crowd seemed firmly behind RUSH at the bell, as he
kicked away a handshake offering from Priest. Priest tried
to trade with RUSH and was standing his ground until RUSH
put him on the ropes. Priest came back with a dropkick,
which seemed to anger RUSH. He chopped Priest to size and
stomped him in the corner. RUSH continued with headbutts and
pulled up short running into the corner just to kick Priest
anyway. RUSH posed to admire his work.
Back from the break, Priest came off the top with a leg drop
from the top rope for a near-fall! RUSH turned things around
with a rebound German Suplex, followed by a knee to the face
that put Priest on the floor. RUSH threw Priest into the
barricade and slammed him off the commentary desk. He
continued to use the barricades to punish RUSH before
stomping him on the floor. RUSH threw Priest back in the
ring and hammered him in the corner. RUSH charged up to hit
Bull’s Horns and connected! RUSH pulled Priest out of the
corner, wiped his hands and covered Priest for the pinfall
victory!
RUSH got on the mic to remind everyone, “When you mess with
the bull, you get the horns!”
Konosuke Takeshita Speaks, and Kazuchika Okada Responds
Takeshita addressed AEW International Champion “The
Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada and said that, out of respect for
Don Callis and the Don Callis Family, he had tried to avoid
this, but if Okada really wants to face Takeshita at Double
or Nothing, “I will happily take your title, bitch.”
Tonight at Collision, Okada responded to Takeshita, “I don’t
fear you. I don’t like you. I don’t respect you.” Okada’s
voice became louder and angrier as he switched to speaking
Japanese. He closed out by saying, “At Double or Nothing,
YOU LOSE!”
AEW Women’s World Champion “The Toxic Spider” Thekla & Skye
Blue of Triangle of Madness def. NJPW Strong Women’s
Champion Alex Windsor of Brawling Birds & CMLL World Women’s
Champion Persephone
It looked like Thekla would start things with Windsor, but
she immediately tagged out to Blue. Blue threw Windsor to
the mat by her hair, so Windsor came back to get into a chop
fight with Blue. Windsor used misdirection to get away from
Blue and put her down with a shoulder tackle. Thekla came in
from behind to hit Windsor in the back of the head.
Persephone took exception to that and got in the ring to
chop Thekla to the corner. Windsor threw Blue out of the
opposite corner to collide with Thekla in the middle of the
ring.
Windsor clotheslined Blue in the corner and tagged
Persephone. The two did a tribute to the injured Jamie
Hayter with some Brawling Birds double-team chops until
Thekla cut them off. They kicked her to the mat, and
Persephone sent Thekla to the floor with a thrust kick to
the side of the head. Persephone got a near-fall on Blue
after a dropkick and tagged Windsor. Windsor pounded away on
Blue until Thekla tripped Windsor behind the referee’s back.
Blue took advantage with a rising knee to Windsor’s back!
Thekla came down the apron with a knee of her own to Windsor
and stomped the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion in the back to
continue the assault!
With Windsor in trouble, Thekla and Blue kept her away from
Persephone for the next few minutes. Windsor looked to have
an opening, but Blue tagged back in and knocked Persephone
from the apron. Blue sent Windsor to the corner, right into
a kick from Thekla. Thekla locked Windsor over the ropes in
a tarantula, which allowed Blue to nail Windsor with a
running kick. Windsor kicked out at two! Blue tried to cut
off a flurry from Windsor, so Windsor leveled Blue with a
desperation lariat. Persephone tagged in and quickly
disposed of Blue. She caught Thekla for a fallaway slam and
celebrated along with the crowd!
Thekla escaped Persephone’s grasp to tag Blue. Persephone
rolled up Blue for a near-fall, and on the kickout, Windsor
tagged back in. Blue sent Persephone into a forearm from
Thekla and put Windsor in the opposite corner. They sent
Persephone into Windsor, who lifted Persephone onto the
apron and then leveled Blue and Thekla with a diving double
clothesline! Persephone came off the top with a
crossbody/elbow combo to Blue and Thekla. Windsor put Blue
on the mat with a big lariat, but only got a two-count. Blue
blocked a strike and stunned Windsor with a crescent kick.
She went for Code Blue, but Persephone stopped it with a
kick. Thekla speared Persephone only to eat a release Blue
Thunder Bomb from Windsor.
Windsor knocked Blue down with a headbutt and tagged in
Persephone. Persephone charged at Blue in the corner, so
Blue moved, only for Persephone to turn it around with a
bridging German suplex into a pin, broken up by Thekla!
Windsor and Thekla fought on the floor while in the ring.
Persephone stopped a Blue charge with a big boot and
followed with a shotgun dropkick from the top rope.
Persephone was fired up! She lifted Blue for a Crucifix
Powerbomb at the same time Thekla distracted the referee.
That allowed Julia Hart to enter the ring and spray black
mist into Persephone’s eyes! Blue took advantage of the
blinded Persephone with a Code Blue to get the pinfall
victory for her team!
MJF Challenges “The Jet” Kevin Knight for the TNT Title on
Dynamite!
This past Wednesday on Dynamite, MJF demanded Darby Allin
come out and give him back the AEW World Championship.
Instead, MJF got Knight, who reminded MJF that Knight got
screwed out of the AEW World Title when he challenged MJF
for it last month. Knight wanted to face MJF again, but MJF
said he’d only do it if the TNT Title was on the line. They
were about to have the match right then and there, but MJF
left before the bell and said he’d see Knight next week. So
this Wednesday on Dynamite in Fairfax, Virginia, it’s Knight
vs. MJF for the TNT Championship!
AEW National Championship Match: “Jungle” Jack Perry (c)
def. El Clon of the Don Callis Family
After the Don Callis Family failed to capture the AEW World
Trios Titles from The Conglomeration earlier in the night,
El Clon had another chance to bring gold to the Family. The
lively Portland crowd created quite the atmosphere for
Perry’s entrance. Both men played to the crowd at the bell,
although they were more in favor of the AEW Nation
Champion.
Perry knocked Clon to the floor with a dropkick and went for
a springboard crossbody, but Clon was ready with a knee to
Perry’s face! Clon trapped Perry in the ring skirt and
clobbered him before walking away to reveal his eyes in a
chilling sight! Clon turned around to hit a basement
dropkick on Perry, who was still under the ring skirt. Clon
stomped Perry near the stairs and went to the ring to break
the count. When he came back out, Perry reversed Clon into
the ring post and then connected with a swinging kick around
the post! Back in the ring, Perry pulled Clon out of the
corner with a sitout powerbomb to get a two-count. Clon
slipped free of Perry and hung him up on the ropes. Clon
kicked the ropes into Perry’s face before connecting on a
running lariat! Clon celebrated the control he had just
taken in the match!
After Clon seemed to be overwhelming Perry, Perry came back
with a superplex out of desperation to get himself back into
the match! The crowd chanted, “LET’S GO JACK!”
Clon and Perry traded chops, but Clon stopped that with a
quick flurry to send Perry to the corner. Clon charged, so
Perry reversed into a Sliced Bread #2 for a near-fall! Clon
caught Perry with a back heel kick, only for Perry to come
back with a Canadian Destroyer for another near-fall! Perry
lined up for his running knee, but Clon tripped him to the
mat and flipped Perry into a knee to the face! Perry kicked
out just in time! We nearly had a new AEW National Champion!
Perry sidestepped Clon’s running knee attempt, so Clon came
back with a fallaway Pele kick. Perry reversed a powerbomb
into a hurricanrana for a near-fall! Clon nearly snapped
Perry in half with a tilt-a-whirl backstabber and quickly
followed with Hecho en Mexico! Perry somehow kicked out!
Clon tried a step-up moonsault from the ropes, so Perry got
his knees up to stop it. He threw Clon across the ring with
a release German Suplex and finally connected with his
running knee strike to get the pinfall victory and
successful AEW National Championship defense!
TBS Champion Willow Nightingale Accepts Being “The Comeback
Killer”
Nightingale acknowledged her newest nickname, “The Comeback
Killer,” following successful TBS Title defenses against
Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata and Kamille, all in their first
matches back from extended absences. She knows how hard it
is to come back from injury, but if you want to come back at
her expense, she’ll show why she accepted her nickname.
Shida, Aminata and Kamille all found out. No matter where
you are, she is your TBS Champion, the Face of TBS.
“I am Willow Nightingale, and I am at your service.”
Anthony Bowens Joins The Opps!
Katsuyori Shibata was back on camera duty as Samoa Joe and
HOOK walked around backstage. HOOK said he’s been holding it
down and recruiting. Anthony Bowens showed up and gave a
brief greeting to Joe before demanding that HOOK give him an
answer on whether Bowens was in or out of The Opps. HOOK
told him to settle down, and there’s one problem: there are
no more vacancies in The Opps. Joe asked Bowens if he had
heard HOOK and said, “Was he not clear enough? There are no
more vacancies in The Opps! It looks like we’ve found our
newest one.”
Before leaving, Joe slapped hands with Bowens and said,
“Welcome. Pull your weight.”
HOOK told Bowens he passed the test and welcomed him to The
Opps.
The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) def.
Jericho & The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton
Benjamin)
While Portland may not have had any love for The Demand,
they showed plenty to both The Hurt Syndicate and Jericho
during their main event entrances, including a massive
“Judas” singalong! MVP joined commentary for this huge Trios
match. Jericho grabbed a “BALD” sign from the crowd!
Jericho and Ricochet opened the match for a few seconds, but
Kaun tagged in, and both he and Liona entered. Lashley and
Benjamin did the same, and all six men went at it! Jericho
hit a sliding dropkick to Ricochet on the floor while
Lashley cleared Kaun with a running knee and a clothesline
over the top. Benjamin spiked Liona with a DDT. Jericho went
to the top and dove onto all three members of The Demand on
the floor! Jericho ran around the ring, firing up the crowd!
However, it didn’t take long for Ricochet to turn things
around when Jericho was sent into the barricade. Back in the
ring, Jericho escaped Ricochet with a back body drop, but
Ricochet tagged Kaun before Jericho could make it to his
corner. Jericho clapped his way out of a bear hug and tagged
Lashley. He took down Kaun and went to the apron to give
Ricochet and Liona some, as well! With Ricochet in one
corner and Kaun in the other, Lashley hit them with gut
shots and then dropped Ricochet with a jumping Flatliner!
Lashley hit a spinning Dominator, but Liona came in to break
up the pin. Lashley sent Liona over the top rope and tagged
Benjamin.
Benjamin hit two German Suplexes on Kaun, and when Liona
tried to come back in, Benjamin knocked him back to the
floor with a running knee. Benjamin hit Kaun with a third
German Suplex! Benjamin caught Ricochet coming off the top
and gave him a German Suplex!
Jericho put Ricochet in the Walls of Jericho, but Liona
stopped it. Jericho went for the Walls on Liona and had no
chance with the size of those legs. Ricochet threw Jericho
to the corner. Lashley threw Ricochet to the other corner.
Liona pulled Lashley from the ring and squashed him with a
Samoan drop on the floor. Jericho mounted Ricochet for 10
punches in the corner and finished him off with an avalanche
hurricanrana! Kaun dropped Jericho with a big overhand
right. Kaun went to the top, but Benjamin ran up to meet him
and sent him crashing to the mat with a super exploder!
Lashley speared Liona! Jericho nailed Ricochet with a
Codebreaker! Ricochet kicked out at two! The crowd cheered
for Jericho!
Ricochet got a near-fall on a backslide and connected on a
knee strike. Benjamin lifted Ricochet high into the air for
a flapjack. Kaun kicked Benjamin into the corner. Lashley
speared Kaun! Liona pounced on Lashley to the floor! Jericho
avoided Liona in the corner and sent him over the top to the
floor! Jericho put Ricochet in the Walls of Jericho in the
middle of the ring! Liona pulled Ricochet to the ropes while
Kaun distracted the referee. Lashley threw Liona into the
barricade on one side while Benjamin did the same to Kaun.
Back in the ring, Ricochet nailed a low blow out of the view
of the referee and connected on the Ricosault for the
pinfall victory! The Demand celebrated up the ramp to bring
