Canadian Wrestling's Elite's Cruel Summer Tour coming to
Saskatchewan this July could be getting a lot more cruel for
some with the breaking news that law enforcement is on the
way!
CWE is beyond proud and excited to announce that WWF Legend
"The Mountie" Jacques Rougeau will head to Canadian
Wrestling's Elite for the first time ever for 5 exclusive
events across the province of Saskatchewan on The Cruel
Summer Tour July 25-29.
Canadian Wrestling's Elite proudly boasts hosting the elite
of Canadian wrestling and "The Mountie" Jacques Rougeau fits
that bill as a true Canadian wrestling icon.
The Rougeau Family in general are true Canadian wrestling
royalty, especially in their home city of Montreal where the
family wrestled and promoted for decades, with their
Montreal territory being one of the most successful and
exciting regional territories anywhere in the World.
Jacques would go from hometown hero to worldwide fame
alongside his brother Raymond when the brother tag team
would join the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s as an
explosive and innovative tag team that would take the
division by storm.
The highly popular Fabulous Rougeaus quickly developed the
opposite reaction when they aligned themselves with "The
Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart and deemed themselves "All
American Boys" much to the disdain of the American
audiences.
After Jacques' brother Raymond retired from in ring
competition Jacques would resurface shortly later as "The
Mountie", an in ring persona that to this day 30 years later
still stands the test of time as one of the most iconic
wrestling personalities of the era.
History would be made by The Mountie when he unseated
another Canadian icon in Bret "Hitman" Hart to win the WWF
Intercontinental Championship before ultimately losing it to
another Canadian in "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.
Not only were championships won but lifetime memories were
made when The Mountie competed in a long standing rivalry
with The Big Bossman that culminated in the infamous
Jailhouse Match at SummerSlam.
Jacques Rougeau would continue etching his name in WWF
history when he returned to his tag team roots alongside
Pierre Carl Oulette as The Quebecers and the duo would go on
to win the WWF World Tag Team Championships on three
occasions.
Now in his post wrestling career Jacques Rougeau has a very
sought after wrestling training program in his hometown of
Montreal where young wrestlers from across the country head
to polish their skills including current CWE Canadian
Unified Jr. Heavyweight Champion "Chiseled" Chad Daniels who
regularly heads East to compete for and learn under the
learning tree of the legendary Rougeau.
Now for the FIRST TIME EVER "The Mountie" Jacques Rougeau is
scheduled to make independent wrestling appearances across
the province of Saskatchewan!
The Mountie will be available for a pre show meet & greet
autograph session and will make a special cameo appearance
each night in Saskatchewan!
