As the show opens, we see Cody Rhodes walking and Brock
Lesnar attacks him backstage. Cody is left lying on the
floor grimacing in pain.
In the ring, Paul Heyman says he had nothing to do with
that. Paul says he is there to promote the main event when
Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns will beat Sami Zayn and Kevin
Owens. He then welcomed everyone to Monday Night Raw. Kevin
Owens comes out and Sami Zayn shortly after.
As Sami and Kevin talk about their upcoming match, Imperium
comes to the ring and circles the ring apron until Matt
Riddle comes running in the ring to even the odds. Imperium
started to leave then ran back in to attack but Owens, Zayn
and Riddle fought them off and Imperium was sent out of the
ring.
Ricochet VS. Bronson Reed
A good match ended with Reed hitting the splash off the top
rope for the win.
Winner: Bronson Reed
Cathy Kelly interviews Apollo Crews backstage and is quickly
interrupted by Dominik Mysterio saying its mami’s interview
time. Dominik says Apollo who and Apollo says I am all the
man you are not.
Rhea takes over the interview and says she is going to make
Natalya regret getting drafted to Raw. Apollo says excuse me
this is my interview time and Dominik says no one interrupts
Mommy and Apollo says what are you going to do about it?
The Judgment Day are interviewed about Finn’s match with
Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn says he will pay.
Candace LeRae VS. Zoey Stark
During the match Nikki Cross comes out and tries to
celebrate the good match Candace was having, Stark takes
advantage by spearing them both outside the ring and Candace
landed into the ring steps. Stark throws Candace back in the
ring and hits her finisher to get the win.
Winner: Zoey Stark
Byron Saxton asked Mustafa Ali how he feels leading to the
biggest match of his career Saturday. As Mustafa says no one
thinks he can beat Gunther, Brock Lesnar walked by and told
Mustafa to get a life kid.
Brock then makes his way to the ring. Brock starts with
Cody’s usual so Hershey what do you want to talk about.
Lesnar said Cody will not be here tonight and will not be
fighting Brock Lesnar at the Night of Champions. He then
issued an open challenge for someone to take Cody’s place.
Cody comes out all wrapped up. Cody then rips the arm brace
off and a fight starts, and Brock immediately locks in the
Kimura lock. Brock leaves Cody lying in the ring and
officials are over Cody yelling I need medical.
Alpha Academy VS. The Viking Raiders
During the match Otis is sent outside and Valhalla and
Maxine get into an argument causing Ivar to be distracted on
the top rope as Erik is trying to hand Gable up to him, but
Gable kicked Ivar who falls off the top and Gable flips over
Erik and runs him into the corner then a rollup for the win.
Winners: Alpha Academy
Shinsuke Nakamura VS. Finn Balor
While both men struggle to get to their feet, Damian Priest
pulled Finn out of the ring. This led to Nakamura to attack
Priest and after giving Priest a clothesline over the
barricade. Finn comes flying with a dropkick to Nakamura’s
back. Finn then throws Nakamura back in the ring and hits
the coupe de grace for the win.
Winner: Finn Balor
Raquel Rodriguez VS. Sonya Deville
Raquel hits the chingona bomb on Sonya for the win.
Winner: Raquel Rodriguez
After the match, Chelsea Green attacked Raquel and Sonya got
up and joined in and Shotzi came running out and made the
save.
In the back Adam Pearce gets a not so good update on Cody
and Trish Stratus comes in and wanted a no touch policy in
her contract signing with Becky Lynch and Adam says no.
Corey Graves is in the ring for the contract signing with
Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus and Becky is out first. Trish
kept taking shots at Becky and then finally signed the
contract and said her first contract signing will be Becky’s
last. Becky said she is scared about time passing her by.
Becky then tells Trish thank you for being everything that I
hope I never become. Becky then tells Trish she is going to
beat her at Night of Champions, and she will be more
embarrassed than barking like a dog. Becky then says welcome
to the big time and Trish turned the table over, but Becky
got out of the way.
Byron Saxton catches up with Shotzi & Raquel Rodriguez and
Raquel said she found her partner for next week.
Dominik Mysterio VS. Apollo Crews
Action spills outside the ring and Rhea stands in between
Apollo and Dominik and as Apollo goes around Rhea, Dominik
trips him and he hits his head into the ring steps. Apollo
was able to get back on his feet and Rhea shoves him into
the ring post. Apollo was able to slide in the ring at the 9
count, but Dominik was already on the top rope waiting for
him and flew over halfway across the ring with a frog splash
onto Apollo’s back and gets the win.
Winner: Dominik Mysterio
Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Matt Riddle VS. Imperium
Riddle hits a kick on Gunther and throws him over the
announce table. Zayn flips Kaiser over the top rope. Zayn
then connects with a Helluva Kick to Vinci and tags in Owens
who hits a Swanton for the win.
Winners: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Matt Riddle
In the back, Cody Rhodes is sitting and yells I don’t need
any help. Triple H walks in and tells him we will get you
medical attention and I can tell just by looking at that arm
that it is broken, and you know it. Triple H says Cody is
afraid that if the doctor tells him his arm is broken, he
won’t let him go to Night of Champions. Cody then tells
Triple H, he is going to Night of Champions, and he is going
to fight Brock Lesnar. Triple H sat back down beside him as
Cody packed his bag with his good arm and Triple H just put
his hand on his knee then got up and patted him on the back
and left the room.
