ALL ELITE WRESTLING COLLISION/TNT/HBO MAX: April 2 report

Posted on 4/03/126 by Bob Magee

AEW Collision came to you with a special Thursday night
presentation from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on TBS and HBO
Max! And the second night of AEW action in a row was just as
hot as the first!

Thursday Night Collision was defined by championships. We
opened the night with Jon Moxley taking on Anthony Bowens in
an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match. Afterward,
Will Ospreay attacked Moxley and challenged the Death Rider
to put his title on the line in their match at AEW Dynasty
on Sunday, April 12!

Both tag team champions were in action, as FTR and Divine
Dominion took care of business in their respective matches.
Plus, Willow Nightingale’s TBS Championship Open Challenge
was answered by the three-time former AEW Women’s World
Champion, Hikaru Shida!

Plus, we saw absolute mayhem in our main event with an 8-Man
Tornado Tag Match, the Don Callis Family exacted their
version of revenge on The Rascalz, The Hurt Syndicate made a
surprise return, “The Psycho Killer” took out Juice
Robinson, and we heard from Isiah Kassidy, Darby Allin and
the Brawling Birds.

All that and much more went down on Collision in Winnipeg!
Here are your complete results!
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: Death Riders’
Jon Moxley (c) def. Anthony Bowens

We kicked off Collision in style, as Tony Schiavone said,
with the AEW Continental Champion making his way to the
ring. As Mox entered through the crowd, we heard from Renee
Paquette, who reported on HOOK trying to bring out the
“killer instinct” in Bowens – and who better to pull out
that grit from Bowens than Mox? According to Paquette,
Moxley said that if there is grit in Bowens, Mox will find
it. And as Bowens made his entrance, he yelled into the
camera, “You want a killer, HOOK? You’ve got one!”

This match would be contested under Continental rules,
meaning a 20-minute time limit, no interference under the
threat of being fired from AEW, and no one at ringside. At
the bell, Mox and Bowens circled each other, with Moxley
pie-facing Bowens twice, then flipping him off, which lit a
fire under Bowens! He laid it in against Mox, yelling into
the camera, “You see that, HOOK?” Mox ducked a chop in the
corner, but Bowens kept up the offense, firing away with
elbows to the back of the head and fists to the jaw! Mox
looked dazed, but perhaps he was lulling Bowens in, as he
fired back with several punches to Bowens’ head then a chop
across the chest.

Mox threw Bowens into the ropes, but Bowens floated over the
top and took the Continental Champion to the mat, then
tossed him to the outside. When the champ came back into the
ring, Bowens remained relentless, locking Mox in a front
chancery. Moxley countered with a wristlock, but Bowens
escaped and rolled the champ up for a two-count. Mox’s
response to that wrestling prowess? Backing Bowens into the
corner and biting him on the forehead, of course!

Mox then mounted Bowens for multiple punches, but before he
could get to 10, Bowens reversed, laying in 10 (or more)
punches of his own! When referee Bryce Remsburg pulled
Bowens down, Bowens just went right back up for more punches
as Mox collapsed and rolled to the outside! Bowens gave
chase, but Mox was ready for him, hitting him across the
windpipe and throwing him over the ring barricade, as the
two men fought in the crowd! Bowens stood triumphant as we
went to break!

Back from commercial, we were back in the ring, where Mox
had gained the upper hand in part by running Bowens into the
ring post. Mox focused his attack on the left arm and
shoulder with a series of submissions before both men got to
their feet and traded blows in the middle of the ring.
Bowens dazed Mox with a combination of strikes to the
throat, chest and head, as we reached the halfway point of
the time limit in this match.

Bowens yelled for Mox to bring it, as they once again
exchanged punches and forearms. Mox hit several shots in a
row before Bowens countered with a pump kick to the head and
a chop. Bowens took Mox to the top for a superplex, but both
men were feeling the pain on that one, and Bowens was unable
to attempt a pin. Instead, Remsburg started to count to 10
until Bowens and Mox slowly got to their feet. Bowens
charged Mox, but the champ hit the challenger with a sneaky
cutter! Mox went for the double-underhook, but Bowens
escaped, throwing Mox into the corner and kicking Mox in the
back, then hitting a draping DDT for a two-count!

Bowens connected with a couple more kicks to Mox after the
kickout, but a leapfrog attempt for a potential Fame-asser
let to a rear choke by Mox that he transitioned into an arm
bar, but Bowens fought off the pain and got to the ropes,
which infuriated the champion! Moxley took Bowens to the
outside and went for a piledriver, but the challenger
reversed into a back-body drop. Bowens then grabbed a chair
and swung it at Mox against the ringpost, but Mox ducked out
of the way, then evaded again when Bowens tried to hit him
with the chair by the ring steps! Mox jackknifed Bowens for
a two-count back in the ring, then the challenger hit two
Mollywhops! He wanted one more, which he hit, but when
Bowens went for the pin, Mox snatched his neck for a bulldog
choke. Bowens got to his feet, but Mox still had the hold
clenched in. Bowens tried to escape, but all that led to was
Moxley positioning Bowens for the Death Rider and the win!

Will Ospreay Attacks Jon Moxley – and Raises the Stakes for
Dynasty!

Just seconds after Moxley’s win, The Aerial Assassin
appeared out of nowhere and leveled the Continental Champion
with a Hidden Blade! Ospreay climbed atop Mox and laid in
several punches before going outside and grabbing one of the
steel chairs. But as he was preparing to take out Mox for an
extended time, the Death Riders came out and saved Moxley!

Ospreay grabbed the mic and said that this in fact isn’t
personal – then yelled for Mox to not go anywhere as the
Death Riders started to leave. Ospreay reminded Moxley that
he was forgetting something: the Continental Championship!
But Ospreay also reminded Mox that usually when the Death
Riders wrapped a chair around someone’s neck, Moxley had
Claudio do it. But when the Death Riders took Ospreay out in
August, he couldn’t help but notice it was Mox who pulled
the trigger.

Ospreay told Mox he will be seeing him at AEW Dynasty on
Sunday, April 12, but how about they make a little change in
the match? The one thing that Ospreay likes most about the
Continental Championship is that when it’s on the line,
there’s no one allowed at ringside and no interference. It
would just be him and Mox for 20 minutes – and Ospreay can
do a lot of bloody damage in 20 minutes. So Ospreay
challenged Mox to put the Continental Title on the line for
their match at Dynasty!

The Don Callis Family Fights for Kyle Fletcher

Backstage, we heard from AEW International Champion
Kazuchika Okada, Andrade El Ídolo and Mark Davis. Okada told
Davis that the tag match that he and Andrade had later
tonight against The Rascalz was an opportunity to get
revenge for the injury that Fletcher sustained in his match
against The Rascalz with Davis – because Fletcher is Okada’s
best friend, and he cares about The ProtoStar. Unlike
Takeshita. And Davis has a better partner than Takeshita in
Andrade! Okada said that Andrade is a future world champion,
but tonight, he fights for Fletcher, and Okada will be
watching closely.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion
(“Megasus” Megan Bayne and “Colossal” Lena Kross) def.
Kristara & Ava Lawless

Bayne and Kristara started this match off in the center of
the ring, with Bayne quickly grabbing Kristara and slamming
her to the mat before taking her down again with a shoulder
tackle. Bayne dragged Kristara to the corner and continued
to beat down her opponent, tossing her back to the opposite
corner with a huge belly-to-belly suplex. Kristara tagged in
Lawless, while Kross tagged in for the tag champs, as Bayne
and Kross smashed their opponents into one another, then
crushed them in opposite corners and finally took both down
with huge lariats!

Kristara rolled to the outside, as Kross and Bayne double-
teamed Lawless. They looked to end things with Divine
Intervention, but Kristara tried to stop them – in vain.
Bayne and Kross took her out with a big boot/German suplex
combo, then flattened Lawless with the Divine Intervention
for the win!

Moxley Responds to Ospreay’s Ambush and Challenge

Backstage, Jon Moxley said that he wasn’t surprised by Will
Ospreay’s behavior lately. However, he is surprised Ospreay
challenged him for the Continental Championship, because
it’s like Will said – in that situation, it’s just the two
of them. They go down a dark alley, and only one of them
comes out. Ospreay wouldn’t go into a match like that short
of 100%, right? Unless Ospreay does think he’s 100%? Or he
wants Mox to think he’s 100%? That’s a hell of a bluff.

Mox is all about letting delusional people be delusional.
They find out whatever they need to find out in due time.
With the Continental Championship on the line, expect no
mercy, Will. Mox doesn’t have to beat Will Ospreay. Ospreay
is gonna beat himself.

The Hurt Syndicate is Here!

Backstage, we were treated to an appearance by all three
members of The Hurt Syndicate! MVP said not to adjust your
TV sets, they are in fact here – and the Almighty Bobby
Lashley has returned, cleared and ready to rock. Moreover,
The Hurt Syndicate are looking for some new talent. They’re
looking to add to their ranks. After all, they’re back in
business, and business is about to pick up. They’re going to
do what they do better than anyone: Hurt people.

TBS Championship Open Challenge: Willow Nightingale (c) def.
Hikaru Shida

Willow said on last night’s Dynamite that she wanted to face
one of the very best, and that’s just who answered her
challenge, as three-time former AEW Women’s World Champion
Hikaru Shida made her return to AEW! The fans were clearly
thrilled to see her, as Nightingale was ready for a fight
herself!

Willow and Shida shook hands on the bell, and it was time
for a good one! Willow backed Shida into the ropes and gave
a clean break. The two went through a feeling-out process,
exchanging counters, suplexes, and a cartwheel from Willow
for good measure! Shida signaled that she wanted a test of
strength, but she was unable to take down Nightingale with a
shoulder tackle, but Willow was able to floor Shida with one
of her own! Shida kept up the offense, though, and after
rebounding off of the ropes, she was able to knock Willow
down!

Shida mounted Willow in the corner, but Nightingale slipped
under, punishing Shida with lariats in the corner. Shida
escaped and answered with a big running strike in the
corner, then another knee to the back of Willow’s head for a
one-count. After Nightingale kicked out, Shida locked in a
series of submissions, first wrenching at the champ’s chin,
then wrapping her legs around Nightingale’s midsection,
rolling her around for a couple of two-counts. Just moments
later, however, Willow nailed Shida with the Pounce, sending
the former AEW Women’s World Champion to the outside! Willow
gave chase, hitting a cannonball from the apron as we went
to commercial!

Back from the break, Willow had Shida tied up in a
submission maneuver, but the champ had to break the hold
when Shida rolled through for a pin attempt. The two women
battled back and forth to see who might suplex the other,
but that devolved into a trading of big elbow strikes and
fists! Shida tried to take Willow down by coming off the
ropes, but Nightingale chopped her down – only for Shida to
level Willow with a knee! Both women were down as referee
Aubrey Edwards started to count to 10!

Willow charged Shida against the ropes, but Shida evaded and
sent Willow onto the apron. Nightingale went to pick Shida
up onto her shoulders, but the former world champion fought
back and kicked Willow in the head, sending her crashing to
the floor, as Shida grabbed a chair! She set it up for some
added elevation and crushed Willow right between the eyes
with a flying knee! Shida propped Willow up on the guardrail
and hammered her with blows, then threw the champ back into
the ring and climbed to the top rope and nailed Willow with
a Meteora for a two-count!

Shida picked Willow up, looking for a suplex, but
Nightingale blocked it, taking out Shida with a spinebuster,
then looking for the Babe With the Powerbomb – but Willow’s
shoulder gave out! She rolled Shida up for a two-count, then
Shida countered for a near-fall of her own. Willow then hit
Shida with a Death Valley Driver for another two-count, but
Shida kicked out!

The champ climbed the turnbuckles for a moonsault, but
nobody was home! Shida hit a huge knee for a two-count!
Shida hit another running knee for another two-count, but
the champ kept digging deep! Willow ducked a spinning kick
and a backfist, then countered another strike from Shida
into a backslide for the three count! Willow wins and
retains!

After the match, Willow celebrated on the ring ropes, as
Shida grabbed her kendo stick and looked as if she was about
to crack Nightingale across the back! But Shida hesitated,
and Willow turned around, giving Shida a thumbs-up and
mouthing “Good job” before making her way to the back, as
Shida showed her frustration in the ring.

AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash
Wheeler) with Stokely def. Mo Jabai & London Lightning

Security flanked the ring for this tag match thanks to the
actions of Cope and Cage on last night’s Dynamite, as the
two had been hunting FTR with steel chairs, taking out the
Don Callis Family’s Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero when they
found the Family members in FTR’s locker room.

Harwood and Lightning started this match, with Dax backing
Lightning into the corner and lightly slapping him across
the face before knocking Lightning to the mat with a
shoulder tackle for a one-count. Harwood followed that up
with another shoulder tackle and a huge lariat, then took
Lightning back into the corner for more punishment.
Lightning briefly reversed the momentum, taking Harwood to
Lightning and Jabai’s corner and tagging in Jabai.

As soon as Jabai tagged in, however, FTR double-teamed him
in their corner, as Wheeler tagged in for the tag champs.
Jabai fought off FTR when they tried for some double-team
offense, then tagged in Lightning, who was ready to clear
house, but FTR were playing opossum. When Lightning went to
pick up Harwood, Dax leapt into motion, setting Lightning up
for the Shatter Machine and the three count!

Just moments later, Christian Cage’s music hit, and Cage
came out to the top of the ramp with a chair in hand. Cope’s
music was next, as he joined Cage with a chair of his own in
hand. Cope and Cage took out the security and slid into the
ring, but FTR were ready, putting the boots to C&C. Dax
looked to set up Cage for a spiked piledriver, but Cage took
him out with a low blow, and Cope hit an Impaler on Wheeler,
who was alone in the ring! Cope put Wheeler in position for
a conchairto, which Cage looked to deliver, but Stokely slid
in and pulled the chair out of Cage’s hand! Two members of
security tried to calm Cope and Cage down (with fisticuffs),
but they took out both security guards! Cage nailed one of
the guards with a conchairto to drive home just how ruthless
he is feeling, as FTR and Stoke watched in fear on the ramp!

Jamie Hayter Wants Thekla at Dynasty!

Lexy Nair was backstage with Brawling Birds and Mina
Shirakawa after their victory last night on Dynamite. Alex
Windsor said that when they called themselves the Brawling
Birds, they meant it. When they brawl, they brawl. And when
they brawl, they have each other’s backs. Jamie Hayter said
that she’s proud of Windsor for being the NJPW Strong
Women’s Champion, but that Hayter has been thinking about
how she’s a former AEW Women’s World Champion. And Thekla,
for someone who’s so small, has an awfully big mouth. Hayter
has beaten her once, and she’ll do it again. Dynasty.

Shirakawa chimed in to say, “Don’t beat her. Beat the PISS
out of her!”

“The Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa def. Juice Robinson of
the Bang Bang Gang

We started off with a collar-and-elbow tie-up, transitioning
into a series of wristlocks, counters and headlocks (along
with Ciampa pulling Juice’s hair for good measure, while
accusing Robinson of pulling Ciampa’s hair on his bald
head!). Juice ran Ciampa off the ropes and took him down
with a shoulder tackle followed by a Manhattan drop and a
Russian leg sweep into a senton, as Juice was feeling it
early, yelling toward the announce desk, “You like that,
Schiavone?”

That momentary lapse was all Ciampa needed, as he fired back
on Robinson, only for Juice to cut him off, slam him head-
first into the turnbuckle, lift Ciampa up for an atomic
drop, then bash his head into a different turnbuckle
multiple times for good measure! Robinson then climbed the
ropes to punch Ciampa 10 times in the head and followed that
up with a bite to Ciampa’s forehead as the former TNT
Champion rolled to the outside to catch his breath. Ciampa
charged up onto the apron, but Robinson met him with a punch
to the head – until Ciampa swept Juice’s legs out from under
him, sending him crashing into the apron, then biting
Robinson’s nose!

Ciampa tossed Juice back into the ring and stomped his head,
then lifted Robinson to his feet and punched him across the
temple then chopped him across the chest. Robinson responded
by running the ropes and leveling Ciampa with a lariat!
Ciampa rolled to the outside and Juice flew over the top
rope to take him out! But Ciampa spit into Juice’s eyes and
ran him into the ring barricade, then into the announce desk
as we went to commercial.

Back from the break, both men were perched on the apron,
where they traded chops before Ciampa obliterated Robinson
with an Air Raid Crash! Referee Rick Knox started to count
to 10, but Juice just beat the count. But when he got back
into the ring, Ciampa chomped on his finger, then chopped
him across the chest with Robinson on his knees. That seemed
to fire Juice up, though, as he rose to his feet and cracked
Ciampa with multiple straight jabs, then a headbutt that
floored Ciampa. Juice went to run off the ropes, but Ciampa
caught him, only for Robinson to follow up with a
spinebuster on Ciampa! Juice alternated jabs and chops as he
backed Ciampa into the corner, then slammed the former TNT
Champion to the mat for a two-count.

Robinson went to suplex Ciampa, but Ciampa got the knee up
and reversed, then hit Robinson with a knee to the jaw
against the ropes. The two men spilled to the outside, where
Juice crashed into Ciampa with a cannonball against the
ringside barricade! Robinson brought Ciampa back into the
ring and hit another cannonball on Ciampa in the corner,
then hit him with a jackhammer for a two-count!

Juice flew off the top turnbuckle, but Ciampa dodged and
looked for his running knee strike, which Robinson evaded.
Robinson looked for a powerbomb, but Ciampa escaped and hit
Juice with a sneaky low blow and the Willow’s Bell then went
for a pin, but Robinson kicked out at two! Ciampa hoisted
Juice up onto the top turnbuckle looking for an Avalanche
Psycho Driller, but Robinson fought him off for a towering
powerbomb and a two-count of his own! Ciampa hit a low
dropkick on Juice’s knee, then the two exchanged chops and
blows. Juice went for The Juice is Loose, but Ciampa
escaped, then hit two running knees for the pinfall victory!

Isiah Kassidy is Ready to Swim With the Sharks

Backstage, Kassidy said that every time people mention
Private Party, they talk about change. Change, change,
change. And this time, Mox knows what he and the Death
Riders did. They took out Kassidy’s boy, Marq Quen, and
Isiah doesn’t know when he’ll be back. But he’s not going to
back down. Mox said it’s time for Kassidy to swim with the
sharks, right? Well, what Moxley doesn’t know is that Zay
has been drowning his whole life. He’s learned to breathe
down there. And he’s going to eat, because he’s starving for
an opportunity.

Darby Allin Gets Interrupted by Brody King and “Jungle” Jack
Perry

We heard from Darby backstage after last night’s Dynamite,
where he plainly stated that he has to beat Andrade, since
doing so would earn him a shot at the AEW World
Championship, per MJF’s agreement with the Don Callis
Family. Allin also shared that last night, Kenny Omega told
him that he would honor that stipulation should Omega beat
MJF for the title next Sunday at Dynasty.

Enter King and Perry, who had helped chase off the Don
Callis Family when they assaulted Allin last night on
Dynamite. King reminded Allin that they had taken years off
of each other’s lives. Darby put King in a coffin. Perry
said flatly that Allin set him on fire. King has Allin’s
name tattooed on a headstone because he wished death upon
Darby.

He set Perry on fire, Perry said again.

But King also remembers that Allin was there for him and
Bandido when they needed the support against the Death
Riders.

Allin said they all hate the Don Callis Family, and Darby
knows the three of them can coexist for one night. Dynamite.
King and Perry agreed – although Perry said one more time
that Darby set him on fire.

Don Callis Family’s Andrade El Ídolo & Mark Davis def. The
Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz)

The Don Callis Family was out first, as Callis and Andrade
appeared to discuss something, with the latter gesturing
toward his waist, making it clear that his focus remains on
the AEW World Championship. Then, we sounded the alarm, as
The Rascalz made their way to the ring, while Callis joined
the announce desk.

Andrade and Davis jumped The Rascalz before their entrance
music even turned off, with Davis beating on Wentz and
Andrade taking out Xavier as referee Aubrey Edwards tried to
get control of the situation to no avail. Davis and Andrade
threw both Rascalz into the ring, where they recovered
enough to keep the Family on the outside with dropkicks and
stereo dives! Wentz and Xavier threw Davis into the ring,
and the bell finally rang!

The Rascalz combined for some innovative tandem offense on
Davis before Wentz tagged Xavier back in. When Dezmond went
to bounce off the ropes, Andrade sneaked in a kick to the
back, giving Davis a window to level Xavier and tag in
Andrade. Andrade knocked Wentz off the apron, but Xavier was
able to daze Andrade just enough to send him to the outside.
When Xavier went for a dive onto Andrade, though, the latter
was waiting with a massive punch to the jaw! Andrade then
went over to socialize with one of his darling admirers
before we went to commercial.

Back from the break, Xavier countered a lower-body
submission attempt by Andrade into a two-count, but El Ídolo
immediately clamped down on the Rascal with a reverse
chinlock. Xavier got to his feet and escaped, floating over
the top of Andrade, only for Andrade to catch him square on
the chin with a pump kick! Andrade went to charge into
Xavier in the corner, but Xavier got to his feet long enough
to counter Andrade with a thrust kick of his own! Both
Andrade and Xavier tagged their respective partners, as
Wentz lit Davis up with strikes and kicks, backing him up
against the rope. Davis tried to shrug it off, but Wentz
caught him with a somersault knee, then repeated kicks to
the chin and a tornillo off the middle rope for a two-count!

Davis recovered long enough to lift Wentz up for a gutwrench
piledriver, but Wentz reversed. Davis leveled Wentz and went
for a two-count, but Xavier broke up the pin with a double
stomp to the back of Davis! The Rascalz double-teamed Davis
in the corner, knocking him to the mat. But when The Rascalz
went for Hot Fire Flame, Davis got the knees up, and Andrade
cleared Xavier from the ring. Davis crushed Wentz with Close
Your Eyes and Count to Nothing, then Andrade finished him
with The DM for the pinfall victory!

After the match, Callus entered the ring to celebrate with
Davis and Andrade. As they left the ring, AEW International
Champion Kazuchika Okada’s music hit! He was flanked by
Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero, who continued the beatdown
on The Rascalz for even more payback on behalf of Kyle
Fletcher, as Okada tried to prove that he’s a better friend
to Fletcher than Takeshita. Okada went to hit Xavier with
The Rainmaker, but Myron Reed fought off all three members
of the Don Callis Family to save his fellow Rascal, taking
them out with a huge Flame On over the top rope!

8-Man Tornado Tag Match: Orange Cassidy & Roderick Strong of
The Conglomeration & AEW World Trios Champions Místico &
“The Jet” Kevin Knight def. Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler
Yuta of the Death Riders & The Dogs’ David Finlay & Clark
Connors

The Dogs entered first, taking out a member of production on
their way through the backstage area. Castagnoli and Yuta
joined them shortly thereafter after a bit of a hype up
moment with the Death Riders. Next out were the
Conglomeration’s OC and Strong, who stayed at the top of the
ramp for the entrance of Místico and Knight to the dulcet
tones of Místico’s entrance music.

The Dogs and Death Riders were strategizing, and apparently
their plan was to jump the opposing team before the bell,
which they did! In the ring, Claudio took the fight to
Místico, clawing at his mask, while Finlay continued to
assault Strong on the outside! Castagnoli lifted Místico up
for a press slam, but the Trios Champion escaped, punishing
Castagnoli with a big chop to the chest then taking him down
with a wristlock from the top rope! Místico capitalized with
a dive onto Castagnoli on the outside, but unfortunately for
him, he dived right into The Dogs, who looked to set him up
for a dive from Yuta. But OC stopped Yuta, sending him to
the outside, allowing The Jet to take out the opposition
with a dive of his own!

In the ring, Knight took out Yuta with a dropkick, as he and
OC compared their pockets (or, in The Jet’s case, lack
thereof). The Dogs cleared Cassidy and Knight from the ring
and double-teamed Strong, before Místico came off the top
with a massive missile dropkick to take out Connors and
Finlay! While Místico was distracted, though, Yuta and
Castagnoli took the opportunity to double-team Místico,
until Knight made his way to the top and took out both Death
Riders with a big crossbody! Knight then assisted Místico
into the air for a tijeras, followed by a basement dropkick
on Yuta and a splash by Knight for a two-count! On the
outside, The Conglomeration threw The Dogs into the ring
barricade, while Knight and Místico continued to beat down
Yuta in the corner as we went to commercial!

Back from the break, the tides had turned, as The Dogs and
Death Riders were putting the boots to Cassidy in the
corner. In quick succession, Connors, Finlay, Yuta and
Castagnoli all charged OC, but when they went for round two,
Cassidy was able to fend them off – right up until Connors
and Finlay took him out with a high-low combo! The Dogs
looked to set Cassidy up for The Full Clip, but OC reversed
into a Stundog Millionaire on Finlay as Strong took out
Cassidy on the top rope!

Strong lifted OC up as a battering ram and used him to
perfection against both Finlay and Connors, culminating in a
pendulum DDT by OC on Connors and a backbreaker by Strong on
Finlay! Those four men spilled to the outside as Knight,
Místico and Castagnoli tangled in the ring. Místico took
Claudio out with two more tijeras takeovers, sending
Castagnoli to the outside, and Místico gave chase, only for
Yuta to try to save his fellow Death Rider and take a punch
to the jaw for his troubles!

Connors and Strong exchanged blows in the ring, where OC
looked to hit Connors with the Beach Break, before they went
out to the floor. Knight sneaked up on Castagnoli with a
huge springboard forearm, but The Jet found himself alone
against all four members of the opposing team, leading to a
two-count on a pinfall attempt by Yuta before Knight’s
teammates made the save!

Místico, Strong and Cassidy locked Yuta, Finlay and Connors
in Strong Holds, until Castagnoli kicked Strong enough to
make him release the hold. Roddy and Claudio exchanged
blows, only for Cassidy to come flying in for an Orange
Punch that took out the Death Rider! Strong and Cassidy used
The Dogs’ own momentum against them, sending them to the
outside, then hit dives to the outside, brawling with
Connors and Finlay all the way to the back! Back in the
ring, Yuta hit Knight with the Busaiku Knee, but Místico
made the save!

Castagnoli pummeled Místico with European uppercuts in the
corner, but when he tossed Místico into the opposite corner,
Místico countered with a big boot and a hurricanrana for a
two-count! Both men were clearly exhausted, but they got to
their feet. Místico looked to spin into La Mística, but
Claudio blocked, as Yuta recovered for some double-team
offense on Místico, leading to a giant swing punctuated by a
dropkick by Wheeler! Yuta went for a pin but only got a two-
count! Somehow, Místico kicked out!

Místico ducked under a clothesline from Castagnoli and
finally locked in La Mística! As he did, Knight climbed to
the top and leaped over Místico and Claudio to hit Yuta with
the UFO Splash for the pinfall victory for his team!
“Speedball” Mike Bailey came out to celebrate the victory
with his fellow AEW World Trios Champions! That was it for
this special Thursday Night Collision!
