Penta will be defending the WWE Intercontinental title on
AAA television on Saturday, April 11, one week before
WrestleMania.
On yesterday’s third and final night of Rey de Reyes, former
AAA Mega champion El Hijo Del Vikingo called out Penta to
tell him that his goal is now to take the WWE IC title.
Vikingo cannot wrestle for the top AAA title as long as
Mysterio remains champion.
Penta accepted Vikingo’s challenge and the match will happen
in Mexico City at Gimnasio Olimpico. Tickets are available
now.
The popular masked star still has no match at WrestleMania.
Last year, he was in a fatal four-way match for the
Intercontinental title along with Dominik Mysterio, Bron
Breakker, and Finn Balor.
