It’s night 3 of Rey de Reyes and it’s a big one! Title
Matches, Grudge matches, and Vikingo being like “hey Penta,
let’s fight!” Good stuff all around.
AAA World Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match:
Laredo Kid (c) vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. TJ Perkins vs. Dragon
Lee
The bell rang and the 4-way was on! Perkins and Laredo kids
chased each other around but it was Dragon lee that ate the
first shot. Lee and Cartwheel tried a duelling dropkick on
Perkins but whiffed it. Cartwheel and Lee were dispatched to
the outside and Perkins and Laredo faced off.
Laredo sent Perkins out and dove after him. That let
Cartwheel hit a moonsault form the apron and Lee tried to
take out the field, but Perkins stopped him. Lee dispatched
him and Cartwheel came in. Things began to unravel all over
the place with neckbreakers, superkicks and Laredo getting a
michinoku driver on Cartwheel.
Lee suplexed Laredo for a two count, but Perkins broke it up
with some stomps. Perkins went after Lee then Laredo,
wrapping them up in a double submission until Cartwheel
broke it up. Perkins sent Cartwheel to the corner and hit a
meteora on him.
Laredo came back in just a Cartwheel was kicking Perkins and
ate a senton. Lee got involved and Cartwheel swept his leg
and hit a twisting splash. Laredo hit a destroyer DDT on
Cartwheel and Lee hit a sit out powerbomb on Perkins for
two.
Lee sent Perkins to the ropes where Laredo dropkicked him.
Lee then threw him out and Cartwheel tossed out Lee before
hitting a handspring dive onto the group. Lee went back in
and Cartwheel went up top, but Perkins pulled him down and
took his place. Laredo did the same to Perkins and Lee
grabbed him and Cartwheel in a double superplex.
Perkins and Lee faced off with Lee getting the upper hand
until Perkins snuck in a kick. Lee answered with a knee and
then lifted Cartwheel up on the top turnbuckle. Leet hit a
slam on Perkins, then Cartwheel hit a moonsault on Perkins.
Then Lee used Cartwheel to hit a Styles Clash ON Perkins.
Laredo broke up the cover.
Lee and Laredo squared off with Lee hitting a spiked DDT and
running knee. Cartwheel powered up and went for a superana
off the top rope but Lee turned it into a double stomp and
then hit Operation Dragon, but then Perkins hit him off the
top rope and Laredo broke up the pin.
Laredo and Perkins fought in the middle of the ring until
Lee came in and the double kicked Perkins. Lee then hit a
double stomp on Laredo while Cartwheel wandered into frame.
Lee hit him by accident, but then hit a suplex on Laredo.
Then he dove out onto Cartwheel and ended up clutching his
knee.
Perkins came in with the title belt and tried to steal one,
but Laredo kicked out. He hit a poisonrana on Perkins and
then stomped his lights out for the 1-2-3 to retain the
Cruiserweight title.
Match Result: Laredo Kid defeated Jack Cartwheel, TJ Perkins
and Dragon Lee
After the match, Rey Fenix, a former Cruiserweight Champion
in his own right, came down to congratulate Laredo and let
him know that he wants a shot at the belt.
-Backstage, los Toxicas talked about how great Flammer is.
They ran through a few of her opponents over her 1000+ day
championship run. She said that on April 11 she will hold a
celebration of her title and herself.
El Fiscal vs. Abismo Negro
While on the surface this might seem like a fight between an
evil accountant and a sad Batman, or a duel of the Batman
Who Laughs cosplayers, there’s actually a lot more to it.
You see, Fiscal is the son of the original Abismo Negro who
died in a drowning accident and he’s not happy about the
current Abismo Negro using his father’s name. These guys
have a long, violent history so this should be good.
Fiscal dropped Negro before the bell even rang, but once it
did, Fiscal sent Negro to the outside so he could take off
his jacket. Then he dove onto him through the ropes. Fiscal
threw Negro back into the ring and splashed him in the
corner. He continued throwing punches until Negro pushed him
away.
Fiscal came back with a superkick and a clothesline and the
two started trading punches in the middle of the ring.
Fiscal threw a back elbow and went up top, but Negro pushed
him off the turnbuckle and hit a dropkick to put him in his
place.
Negro took a moment to flex and pose before bouncing
Fiscal’s head off the turnbuckle. He chopped him against the
ropes but Fiscal responded with a dropkick. Negro came back
with a clothesline and then a rear chinlock.
Fiscal elbowed out of the hold, but Negro just clubbed him
back down and sent him to the corner for some strikes.
Fiscal roared back, bulldozing Negro into the corner. Fiscal
hoisted Negro up for el Martinette, but Negro countered it
and sent him shoulder first into the ringpost.
Negro got Fiscal up in a piledriver, but Fiscal countered
and rolled him up for the surprise win!
Match Result: El Fiscal defeated Abismo Negro
After the match Negro beat down Fiscal and cleared the
announce table. Negro put Fiscal on the table and then hit a
piledriver. The table held up and Negro escaped back to the
ring to gloat. Fiscal was removed via stretcher by EMTs.
Up next, Vikingo came down to the ring with Dorian Roldan
and Omos. Roldan grabbed a mic and asked the crowd to shut
up. He said that Vikingo is amazing and the crowd should
show him respect and get over his past transgressions
because he’s the best.
Vikingo echoed his statements and then called the wrestler
formerly known as Mini Vikingo a fool. He then made fun of
his mom for crying at his injuries and threatened to send
them both to the morgue. He then shamed the crowd for not
giving him the respect he deserves. He said he’s leaving to
go to Wrestlemania because he wants the WWE Intercontinental
title. Vikingo then called out Penta.
Penta came out to a huge ovation and strutted down to the
ring. Penta picked up a mic and asked Vikingo if what he was
saying is true. He made fun of Vikingo’s pronunciation and
said that no one will miss him when he leaves AAA for WWE.
Everyone hates him.
Penta got in Vikingo’s face and Omos stepped between them.
Penta said that Vikingo doesn’t even have the respect of his
own mother and looks dumb in his “baptism suit.” Penta said
that he will bust Vikingo open and if he wants the match,
he’s got it.
They made the match for April 11th in Mexico (not the date
or location of Wrestlemania, which is interesting). Penta
then shoved Vikingo and held the title up in Omos’ face and
Penta thanked the crowd as the show went off the air.
