While the former AEW World champion has been off television
since April of last year, a filing for a new trademark
application might give a glimpse of Jericho’s next gimmick.
Filed two days ago with the United States Patent and
Trademark Office, Jericho applied to trademark the word
Cornerstone, for goods and services including shirts and
apparel, entertainment services under performances by a
wrestler, and even providing wrestling news via a computer
network.
Jericho was last seen using The Learning Tree gimmick in AEW
but has been absent for nearly a year now. There were rumors
that his contract was expiring at the end of 2025 but news
then came out that it was extended to reflect his time off
from the company.
It remains unclear when Jericho is returning at this point.
