Former WWE Superstar Ted DiBiase Jr., who had been
undergoing a trial for several charges at the Thad Cochran
Federal Courthouse, was found not guilty by a Mississippi
jury.

The verdict was delivered yesterday after four hours of
deliberation.

DiBiase Jr was facing one count of conspiracy to commit wire
fraud and to commit theft concerning programs receiving
federal funds, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft
concerning programs receiving federal funds and four counts
of money laundering.

His worst case scenario saw him spending a maximum 45 years
in prison and pay $1,000,000 in fines.

The charges were filed by the U.S. Department of Justice in
April 2023, accusing the former WWE Tag Team champion with
misappropriating millions of dollars in federal safety-net
funds intended for needy families and low-income individuals
in Mississippi.

He worked for WWE between 2007 and 2013.
