AEW Dynamite was LIVE from San Jose, California, on TBS and
HBO Max! The final Dynamite before AEW Revolution was on
fire, including two championship matches and massive
implications for Sunday in Los Angeles!
At the end of Dynamite, we saw the press conference between
AEW World Champion MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page devolve into
a brawl when MJF tried to mockingly toast Page. They fought
into the arena, where Page dropped MJF with a Deadeye. He
tried to put MJF through a barbed-wire-covered board, but
MJF escaped through the crowd!
AEW World Trios Champion and TNT Champion “The Protostar”
Kyle Fletcher beat “Speedball” Mike Bailey to retain the TNT
Title thanks to some interference by Kazuchika Okada and
Mark Davis. Bailey vowed to get even when he, Kevin Knight
and Místico challenge Fletcher, Okada and Davis for the AEW
World Trios Titles at Revolution!
After successfully defeating CMLL World Women’s Champion
Persephone to retain the TBS Championship, Willow
Nightingale decided she wanted to do more at Revolution. She
challenged “Colossal” Lena Kross to a TBS Title match on
Zero Hour, and Nightingale and Harley Cameron, The Babes of
Wrath, will defend the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles
against Kross and “Megasus” Megan Bayne at Revolution this
Sunday!
Plus, Brody King turned the tables on Swerve Strickland by
breaking his chain when Strickland tried to ambush him!
Moxley and Takeshita met on opposite sides of a tag match
before they battle for the AEW Continental Championship in
four days. And AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR and Tommaso
Ciampa beat Dem Boys!
All that and much more went down on Dynamite in San Jose!
Here are your complete results!
We opened the night with Moxley and Castagnoli making their
way through the fired-up San Jose crowd flanked by Marina
Shafir, who carried Moxley’s AEW Continental Championship
over her shoulder.
This match began with a huge “AEW” chant at the bell as
Hechicero faced off with Castagnoli just days after they
were part of the brawl to end Collision. Hechicero worked in
and out of submissions and taunted Castagnoli, which turned
into a shoving match, with Hechicero putting Castagnoli on
the mat. They traded a series of near-falls, but wound up
face-to-face in a stalemate. After both men missed big
moves, Castagnoli seemed to have Hechicero primed for a
Neutralizer, but Hechicero flipped out and captured
Castagnoli in a unique heel hook. Castagnoli bailed to the
outside, so Hechicero flipped off Moxley!
Both Moxley and Takeshita tagged in at the same time, which
elicited a “HOLY SHIT!” chant from the San Jose crowd.
Moxley and Takeshita went face-to-face and traded shoulder
blocks, but Takeshita had the advantage. Moxley grabbed
Takeshita’s arm and brought him to the corner to tag
Castagnoli. They beat Takeshita in the corner until
Castagnoli brought Takeshita back to the middle of the ring.
Takeshita fired back with a big dropkick and tagged
Hechicero. Castagnoli quickly dragged Hechicero to his
corner and tagged Moxley. Hechicero fought through the Death
Riders' double-team attempt and knocked Moxley from the
ring. Hechicero used a flying headscissors to send
Castagnoli to the mat, so the Death Riders regrouped on the
floor.
Hechicero found himself in the wrong corner after Moxley and
Castagnoli started to cut the ring off and keep Takeshita
out of the match. Hechicero escaped from a giant swing and
propelled Castagnoli over the top with his legs! Castagnoli
got back in the ring and tagged Moxley. They sent Hechicero
to the corner, but he flipped over to the apron. He trapped
Moxley’s knee in the ropes and took Castagnoli down from the
top! Takeshita made the tag! He booted Castagnoli and took
Moxley down with forearms and a leaping elbow. Castagnoli
ran into Takeshita’s boot in the corner, which allowed
Takeshita to spring up with a hurricanrana that sent
Castagnoli to the outside. Moxley grabbed Takeshita in a
choke, but Takeshita backed out of it right into a blue
thunder bomb for a two-count!
Takeshita tried for the Power Drive Knee, but Moxley caught
it! Moxley and Takeshita traded elbows and big boots until
Castagnoli came out of nowhere to nail Takeshita with a
diving uppercut! Moxley followed with a lariat, but
Takeshita kicked out at two! Moxley moved into a crossface,
followed by a cross armbreaker until Takeshita got to the
ropes. Moxley picked up Takeshita for a Gotch-style
piledriver, so Takeshita backdropped out of it and put
Moxley down with a huge knee to the face! Both Castagnoli
and Hechicero tagged back in with Hechicero quickly
attacking the head, arm and neck of Castagnoli in a matter
of seconds! Hechicero missed a charge into the corner, so
Castagnoli lifted him over the top rope. Castagnoli ran down
the apron and took Hechicero down with a senton splash using
his whole body! Castagnoli charged around the floor and
cracked Hechicero with a running uppercut before returning
him to the ring.
Castagnoli came off the top with a crossbody, but Hechicero
rolled through it and hit a flapjack before trapping
Castagnoli’s arms to roll him around the ring. He stopped
for a pin attempt, but Moxley broke it up! Takeshita dropped
Moxley with an elbow! Castagnoli knocked Takeshita from the
ring with an uppercut! Hechicero rolled up Castagnoli for a
near-fall! Castagnoli got back up and executed a giant swing
on Hechicero. He tried for a pin, but Hechicero kicked out!
Castagnoli hit a running uppercut to the corner, but
Hechicero followed him to the other corner with a rising
knee! Hechicero dropped Castagnoli on the mat and dropped a
leg across his neck to get a near-fall! Hechicero got
another two-count with a backslide. Hechicero nearly ran
into the referee in the corner, but stopped in time.
Castagnoli took that opportunity to poke Hechicero in the
eye and capture him in a small package to steal the
victory!
After the match, Lance Archer and Mark Davis hit the ring to
attack Moxley and Castagnoli! Shafir tried to enter, but
Archer shoulder tackled her to the mat! Archer nailed Moxley
in the head with the cast on his hand and held Moxley up for
Takeshita to hit him with a chair. Takeshita refused to do
it! When Davis grabbed the chair to finish the job,
Takeshita stopped him! All the while, Don Callis was barking
orders from the apron, but eventually gave up and left.
Hechicero pleaded with Takeshita to attack the wounded
Moxley, but he still refused and left up the ramp with the
rest of the Don Callis Family as the Death Riders recovered
in the ring.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion and TBS Champion Willow
Nightingale and CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone Meet
Before Their Match
Renee Paquette was backstage with both Nightingale and
Persephone ahead of their one-on-one match later tonight!
Nightingale congratulated Persephone for beating Mercedes
Moné for the CMLL World Women’s Championship, and Persephone
said Nightingale would know about beating Moné since she
took the TBS Title from her. The two had a friendly argument
about who hit Moné harder, but then agreed to go out and
kill it tonight before going their separate ways.
Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis Talk to AEW World Champion MJF
Backstage, Callis was firing up Fletcher when MJF walked up
and said he wanted to see what Fletcher was going to do to
Bailey. He called Fletcher “a beautiful man” and then
reminded Fletcher that Bailey kicked him in the face last
week, so he asked Fletcher “to beat the absolute sh*t” out
of Bailey. Fletcher referred to MJF as “Maxwell” and said he
doesn’t take orders from him. Fletcher will beat Bailey up
so bad for himself, not MJF. MJF told Callis he should teach
“his guy” how to talk to the world champ and exited.
Fletcher told Callis they'd better not be working for MJF,
and Callis asked if he looked crazy before pumping Fletcher
up some more as they headed to the ring.
TNT Championship Match: AEW World Trios Champion and TNT
Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (c) def. “Speedball”
Mike Bailey
Bailey entered with “The Jet” Kevin Knight. At the same
time, Fletcher was flanked by the other two-thirds of the
AEW World Trios Champions, Mark Davis and AEW International
Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, as well as Callis,
who joined the broadcast position for commentary.
Bailey went on the attack with front kicks, but Fletcher did
a great job avoiding most of the strikes until he got caught
in a flying armbar! Fletcher went to the floor, so Bailey
followed, and Fletcher dropped him with a kick. Bailey
turned things back around and sent Fletcher shoulder-first
into the steel steps! Bailey put Fletcher in an armbar on
the floor until Fletcher kicked his way out and got back in
the ring. Bailey came back in and stayed on Fletcher with
more kicks until Fletcher hit a desperation body slam.
Fletcher took some time to work out his arm before
delivering stomps in the corner. Bailey tried to escape, but
Fletcher pulled him out for a backbreaker that got a near-
fall.
Fletcher put a knife-edge chop across Bailey’s chest that
echoed throughout the area. They moved to the opposite
corner, where Bailey hit a big boot. Bailey followed with a
flying hurricanrana to take Fletcher to the mat. Bailey
connected with a three-kick combo and nailed a running
shooting star press to get a two-count! Fletcher came back
with a half-and-half suplex that dropped Bailey on his head.
Fletcher lined up Bailey for a running boot, but Bailey met
him in the middle with one of his own! Fletcher hit a
crescent kick, so Bailey came back with a question mark
kick, and both men collapsed to the mat!
Bailey tried to boot Fletcher off the apron, but Fletcher
caught it and attempted to lawn dart Bailey into the ring
post, only for Bailey to reverse it into a poisonrana on the
apron! The two wound up back in a precarious position on the
top ropes, where Fletcher swung Bailey into an avalanche
back drop! Fletcher needed some extra time to get into a
cover, so Bailey was able to kick out at two! Fletcher
kicked Bailey on the mat to try for a powerbomb, but Bailey
slid out into a backslide for a near-fall. Bailey tried to
roll up Fletcher, but he rolled through the ropes to the
floor. But Bailey followed with a dive over the top onto
Fletcher!
Bailey tried to throw Fletcher into the ring, but Fletcher
reversed and threw Bailey in, although he turned his back to
celebrate with Callis. That allowed Bailey to hit a triangle
moonsault from the ring to the floor! That brought the 10-
minute warning! Bailey went to the top and tried for Ultima
Weapon, but Fletcher moved, so Bailey rolled through. Bailey
went to the apron, so Fletcher charged and slid to the
floor. At the same time, Bailey flew through the air with a
corkscrew Asai moonsault that crushed Fletcher!
Bailey threw Fletcher back in and caught Fletcher in a
pinning predicament for a near-fall! Fletcher came back to
lawn dart Bailey into the top turnbuckle! Fletcher pounded
away at Bailey’s head and taunted the crowd. Fletcher nailed
a running boot from across the ring and tried for a
brainbuster, only for Bailey to counter yet again with a
sleeper hold! He transitioned it into an armbar, so Fletcher
rolled him up for a two-count! Bailey crushed Fletcher with
a standing moonsault knee drop, followed by a kick behind
Fletcher’s ear! 1-2-Fletcher kicked out!
Bailey went back to a cross-arm breaker, so Fletcher powered
out of it to get back to his feet and break the hold with a
powerbomb! Bailey rolled to the floor, but Fletcher was slow
to follow. He tried to powerbomb Bailey on the apron, so
Bailey rolled out of it and hit another standing moonsault
knee drop onto Fletcher! Bailey put Fletcher on the apron
and tried for another knee drop, but Fletcher kicked him
away. Bailey draped Fletcher’s arm over the top rope, so he
went to the top rope. Fletcher met him with a rising kick
and stayed on the ropes. Bailey grabbed the arm again and
hit Fletcher with a pair of kicks to the chest. He met
Fletcher at the top with a super poisonrana! Fletcher
staggered to his feet, and Bailey connected with the Time
Adventure Kick! Fletcher kicked out at the last possible
moment, and both were stunned!
Bailey kept the pressure on with a kick to Fletcher on the
mat, followed by a thrust kick to the chest. Bailey spun for
another kick, but Fletcher was waiting for him with a
Michinoku Driver! Bailey kicked out! Fletcher picked up
Bailey and floored him with a massive lariat with three
minutes remaining! Bailey escaped from a brainbuster to get
a near-fall! Bailey hit a multi-spin kick that bounced
Fletcher into the corner, so Bailey went back to the top for
Ultima Weapon. Fletcher moved! Fletcher picked up Bailey for
another brainbuster, so Bailey switched it into a small
package for a two-count! Fletcher missed another running
boot in the corner, and Bailey caught him with a straight-
jacket rollup for yet another near-fall!
Bailey connected with a roundhouse to the side of Fletcher’s
head and put him on the top turnbuckle. Okada got on the
apron with a screwdriver to distract the referee, so
Fletcher escaped Bailey’s attempt at the Flamingo Driver
with a rake to the eyes. Davis threw him one of the AEW
World Trios Tiles, which he cracked across the head of
Bailey! The referee turned around to see Fletcher finally
connect with a brainbuster to get the pinfall victory!
Brody King def. Jiah Jewell … Swerve Attacks From the Crowd!
As King stormed to the ring, we heard some pre-recorded
comments from him before the match. King said he was looking
all over San Jose for Swerve Strickland, as he wasn’t even
dressed in his gear for this standby match. Jewell charged
King, which was a big mistake, as King floored him with a
lariat. King nailed a Gonzo Bomb and quickly pinned Jewell.
King celebrated with fans around the ring and yelled for
Swerve. As King continued to work his way around ringside,
he was choked with a chain from the crowd! It was Swerve in
King’s hoodie! He sent King into the steel post and threw
him back in the ring. Swerve choked King with the chain
until King broke the chain! Swerve tried to get away, but
King snatched him with a back suplex. King crushed Swerve in
the corner with a cannonball! Now King had the chain! He
wrapped it around his arm and choked out Swerve over the
ropes! Prince Nana came from behind to stop King, but King
just swatted him away. That distraction allowed Swerve to
pull King’s arm down on the chain to break free and bail up
the ramp.
“Speedball” Mike Bailey Vows Vengeance on the Don Callis
Family
Renee Paquette was backstage with Bailey after his TNT Title
loss to Kyle Fletcher, where it took interference from Okada
and Davis to get the job done. Paquette called it another
tough loss and asked Bailey how he can regroup for Sunday’s
AEW World Trios Title match at Revolution. Bailey said he
could go on and on about how the best man didn’t win tonight
and how Fletcher needed to cheat to win. But that’s not who
he is. Bailey called out the entire Don Callis Family and
said that when he teams with Kevin Knight and Mísitico,
they’ll get exactly what they deserve.
The Dogs (“War Ready” Gabe Kidd and David Finlay) def. Darby
Allin & Orange Cassidy
Finlay and Cassidy opened this contest, or they were about
to, until Kidd tagged in and charged at Allin to knock him
off the mat! Finlay and Kidd tried to double-team Cassidy,
but Allin came right back in to jump on Kidd’s back. They
spilled to one side of the floor while Allin and Finlay
brawled on the other side. Cassidy blocked Finlay’s attempt
to send him into the steel steps and then turned things
around to dropkick Finlay into the steps with his hands in
his pockets. Meanwhile, Allin sent Kidd flying into the
barricade with a shotgun dropkick! Allin threw Kidd back in,
so Cassidy came off the top with an elbow, followed by a PK!
Allin threw himself back to the floor like a battering ram,
but Finlay was able to deflect the blow, and Allin crashed!
Back in the ring, Kidd stuck a thumb in Cassidy’s eye and
dropped him with a big elbow strike. Finlay came back in and
threw Cassidy across the ring. The Dogs were in control!
Cassidy was absolutely brutalized by Kidd and Finlay over
several minutes, with no chance of tagging Allin. Cassidy
lured Kidd and Finlay in with some weak shots until he
turned up the speed with a couple of quick near-falls on
Finlay and then a dive onto Kidd on the floor! Cassidy
quickly returned to the ring with a floatover DDT, but Kidd
stopped a pin attempt and held Cassidy from making a tag.
Finlay grabbed Cassidy so Kidd could knock Allin off the
apron. Cassidy was dragged back to the Dogs’ corner and
double-teamed until he finally broke free from Finlay and
made the tag!
Allin stacked up Kidd and Finlay in the corner and then sent
Kidd to the opposite corner so he could bounce off both men
repeatedly. Kidd tried to charge after him, so Allin moved,
and Kidd nailed Finlay! Allin sent Kidd to the floor and
charged like he was going to fly over the top, but he saw
Finlay charge from behind, so Allin adjusted into a Coffin
Drop into Finlay! Kidd came back in, but Allin trapped him
in a Scorpion Death Lock. Finlay booted Allin in the face,
but Allin wouldn’t let go! Finlay put a finger in Allin’s
eyes, so Allin let go and tried another Coffin Drop. Finlay
caught it, so Allin struck his way loose and tried for a
Code Red, but Kidd clotheslined Allin off Finlay’s back.
Kidd covered, but Cassidy came in to break it up!
The Dogs took their time, so Cassidy nailed Kidd with a
Stundog Millionaire, and Allin followed with a Code Red!
Finlay rolled up Cassidy and tried to pick him up for a
powerbomb, but Cassidy sent him to the outside. Allin nailed
Kidd with a battering ram to the floor! Cassidy dove onto
Finlay on the other side! Allin sat Kidd in a chair and
nailed a missile dropkick from the top rope to the floor!
Cassidy lined up for an Orange Punch, but he was knocked out
from behind by a tire iron at the hands of Clark Connors!
Allin threw Kidd back in the ring and tried a Coffin Drop
from the top, but Kidd snatched him in a choke! Allin rolled
over it for a near-fall, only for Finlay to come back with a
backbreaker and Kidd to nail a rolling elbow. Finlay put
Allin down with a Dominator, and Kidd finished Allin off
with a jumping piledriver to get the pinfall victory!
After the match, Connors threw Cassidy back in the ring and
cut him in half with a spear! The Dogs posed over Cassidy’s
fallen body, and Kidd pushed the referee out of the ring.
Finlay gestured to the aisle, and Roderick Strong walked to
the ring! The Dogs held Cassidy and threw him to Strong!
Strong feigned an End of Heartache on Cassidy, then threw
him into Finlay! Strong nailed Kidd with a huge dropkick! He
took down Connors! Strong with a jumping knee to Finlay!
Allin hit Kidd with a skateboard! Strong took out Connors
with the End of Heartache! Strong reached out his hand and
helped Cassidy up! Cassidy put up his hand for a high-five,
and Strong finally reciprocated to a huge ovation!
TBS Championship Match: AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion
and TBS Champion Willow Nightingale (c) def. CMLL World
Women’s Champion Persephone
The two exchanged a bit of trash talk at the bell, then
spent the next few minutes trying to gain an advantage, to
no avail. Nightingale hit the first big move of the match
with a headscissors, so Persephone came back with one of her
own. Nightingale offered a handshake of respect, but
Persephone pulled her into a pin attempt for a near-fall!
Persephone avoided Nightingale's attack in the corner, but
Nightingale turned it around with a cartwheel and a kick
that put Persephone back in the corner. Nightingale unloaded
with clotheslines, but got caught in a pinning predicament
and kicked out at two! Nightingale got a near-fall of her
own with a fisherman’s suplex! Nightingale hit a crossbody
on the seated Persephone and tried for a cover, but
Persephone rolled through it and lifted Nightingale off the
mat for a fallaway slam! Persephone was feeling it!
Persephone tried to work Nightingale down to avoid her
power, and it was working until Nightingale countered a dive
to the outside with a forearm. Persephone tried a moonsault
to the floor, but Nightingale pulled her down, and the two
exchanged blows until Nightingale bounced Persephone off the
floor with a desperation spinebuster! Nightingale kicked
free of Persephone on the apron and came flying down with a
cannonball! She tossed Persephone back in the ring and hit
another cannonball in the corner! She tried a cover, but
Persephone easily grabbed the ropes. Nightingale went to the
top rope, but came up empty on a moonsault! Persephone
picked up Nightingale and executed a German suplex.
Nightingale stopped a boot and hit a German suplex of her
own! Persephone broke free with a kick to Nightingale,
followed by a springboard moonsault for a two-count! 10
MINUTES REMAINING!
Both women traded strikes in the middle of the ring until
Nightingale hit a lariat to get another nearfall. Persephone
avoided a Nightingale attack in the corner and dropkicked
Nightingale into the turnbuckles. She went to the top, but
Nightingale met her there, and they fought for position.
Persephone tried a sunset flip powerbomb, so Nightingale
hung on. Persephone adjusted and pulled Nightingale off the
ropes for a crucifix bomb, but Nightingale got free and
trapped Persephone in a backslide for the victory and
successful TBS Title defense!
Tommaso Ciampa and Mark Briscoe Speak after Collision
Ciampa admitted he had been repressing the feelings that
came out towards Mark Briscoe, but now he was ready to let
them out. Briscoe said he knew that something was up with
Ciampa and knew he had that attack in him all along. He
called up some old friends to back him up in the Young
Bucks!
Willow Nightingale Wants Lena Kross at Zero Hour!
Nightingale was in the back celebrating with fellow AEW
World Tag Team Champion Harley Cameron. She said she’s been
able to handle the best of England and Mexico this week for
the TBS Title, so maybe it’s time to deal with Megan Bayne
and Lena Kross now. Nightingale challenged Kross to a TBS
Title match on Revolution Zero Hour.
Trios Match: “Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa & AEW World Tag
Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) with Big
Stoke def. Dem Bucks (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Mark
Briscoe)
Ciampa was last to make his entrance, but on his way up to
the apron, Briscoe charged at him, and this main event was
off to a hot start! All six men paired off, as Dem Boys took
full control by beating FTR and Ciampa around ringside.
Briscoe set up a table and put Ciampa on it before going to
the top. Harwood cut him off, and the bell rang! Harwood hit
a superplex, but Briscoe got his knee up on Wheeler’s splash
attempt. Nick Jackson came off the top with a 450 splash
onto Harwood for a nearfall! Matt tagged in, but Harwood
moved him into the opposite corner for a triple-team.
Wheeler tagged in, and FTR tried a double suplex, but Nick
made the save, and Matt threw him into the air for a
dropkick that knocked FTR from the ring. Ciampa came in and
the Bucks put him down with a tandem German suplex. Nick
threw Matt over FTR for a double sliced bread. Nick and
Briscoe hit a shining wizard/basement clothesline combo on
FTR. The Bucks hit superkicks on FTR and tried on Ciampa,
but he blocked it, only to eat a pair of superkicks and an
enzuigiri from Briscoe!
Wheeler pulled Nick off the apron and returned to the ring
to double-team Matt, but Matt sent Harwood into Wheeler’s
crotch in a painful partner connection. Briscoe went to the
top and brought Wheeler down with an avalanche cutter.
Ciampa ran over Nick and paired off with Briscoe once again,
with the two trading huge shots until taking each other out,
which left all six men down!
With some help from Stokely on the outside, Briscoe found
himself in dire straits, as he was busted open by FTR and
Ciampa and sent into the crowd. Briscoe literally chopped
his way back into the ringside area by fighting through FTR
and Ciampa! He came off the barricade with a blockbuster to
Ciampa! Nick tagged in, and he ran wild on FTR. After
kicking Wheeler, he dropped Harwood with a facebuster,
followed by a moonsault back to the floor on Wheeler! Matt
dropkicked both members of FTR through the ropes, and Nick
came flying over him to nail FTR again! Ciampa tried to
attack from behind with a chair, but Briscoe stopped him.
Briscoe set up the chair and jumped onto FTR and Ciampa on
the floor! Matt threw Harwood back in the ring, and Nick hit
a frog splash for a nearfall. Nick hit a running knee to
Harwood, and Briscoe followed with a clothesline and hit a
combo Redneck Boogie with Matt for another near-fall!
Ciampa and Wheeler saved Harwood from triple superkicks, and
then Harwood dropped Matt with a lariat. Ciampa tagged in
and set up Meet in the Middle with Wheeler, but Matt moved,
and Wheeler kicked Ciampa. The Bucks hit superkicks on
Wheeler, and Briscoe splashed him in the corner so he could
hit an Iconoclasm from the top! Nick hit a swanton, Matt
followed with an elbow, and Briscoe connected with a Froggy
Bow, but Dax broke up the pin! Nick went to the top for More
Bang for Your Buck, but Wheeler shoved him off through a
table on the floor! Matt was shoved into the ring post!

and FTR hit Briscoe with a Shatter Machine! Ciampa covered,
but Matt pushed Harwood into the pin to break it up!
On the floor, FTR tried to hit Matt with a spike piledriver
on the floor, but he escaped and threw Harwood into Wheeler
and then Harwood onto the announce table. Harwood nailed
Matt with a monitor! Harwood picked up Matt for a
piledriver, and Wheeler jumped off the apron to spike him
into the table! Back in the ring, Ciampa hit Briscoe with a
bicycle knee to the back of the neck! Briscoe kicked out!
Ciampa went for another, but Briscoe got away from it.
Briscoe tried for a Jay Driller, but Wheeler hit him from
behind. Ciampa hit a Psycho Driller, followed by the bicycle
knee on Briscoe to get the three-count and main event
victory!
After the match, Ciampa brought chairs into the ring and hit
Briscoe over the back. He choked Briscoe with a chair and
then set them up next to each other. With Briscoe still
bleeding from the forehead, Ciampa put him through the
chairs with an Avalanche Psycho Driller! Ciampa sat in a
chair and celebrated his attack.
AEW World Champion MJF & “Hangman” Adam Page’s Press
Conference Turns into a Brawl!
Before the press conference began, we took a look back at
the violent history of MJF and Page, which goes all the way
back to the early days of AEW.
Bryan Danielson was tasked with hosting the press
conference. He introduced Page, followed by MJF. Danielson
solicited questions from the media. Page was asked if he was
going for the AEW World Title or just revenge? Page said
it’s always been about the AEW World Championship, and he’s
going to take what’s nearest to MJF.
Another question asked about what fans can expect from the
Texas Death Match. MJF handled it and complained he had to
be in the match, but he’s a winner and will be leaving with
the AEW World Title on March 15. Page said MJF will leave in
an ambulance, and the fans will leave seeing the most
extreme thing they’ve ever witnessed.
Another question for MJF asked about his two losses to Page
last year, including at Revolution, but MJF immediately
insulted the media member and then called those losses
“flukes.” He’s not concerned about the last two matches,
just beating Page on March 15.
Page was asked about what he was taking from previous Texas
Death matches. Page said he’s the master of Texas Death.
He’s won and defended the AEW World Title in Texas Death. He
has made careers and ended them in Texas Death. MJF doesn’t
stand a snowball’s chance in hell, and Page is bringing
every lesson he’s ever learned in Texas Death and teaching
them to MJF one drop of blood at a time.
Another question asked about Page’s history in California,
since he’s won and lost Texas Death matches there. Page says
they’ve been compared for years, but this year will be a
repeat of last year’s Revolution, just a lot more bloody.
Danielson calls for one more question, and Page is asked if
he doesn’t win the AEW World Championship at Revolution, who
is he? MJF jumped in to repeat the question, so Page said
that wasn’t happening. MJF wanted to raise a toast to Page,
so he was given a couple of drinks and brought one to Page.
“To you, never being the world champion again!” Page knocked
the drink out of MJF’s hand, and the two started to brawl!
Danielson tried to break it up, but the two spilled into the
arena!
Page and MJF fought in the crowd and into the ringside area!
Page threw MJF in the ring, and security ran down to pull
them apart as the crowd booed in disapproval. Page knocked
down all the security, so MJF charged at him with the
Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Page was ready with a Deadeye!
Page pulled a barbed-wire-covered board from under the ring
and tried to hit MJF with a Deadeye from the apron to the
razor-sharp wire board. MJF escaped in the nick of time and
escaped through the crowd! Page and MJF jawed at each other
as the night came to a close in San Jose!
Catch AEW Collision on Saturday, 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT
