Drew McIntyre will be defending his WWE Championship against
Cody Rhodes this coming Friday on Smackdown.
The announcement was made by an irate Smackdown General
Manager Nick Aldis, who berated McIntyre for interfering in
the main event during the Elimination Chamber post-show.
Aldis then crashed the post-show panel and made the match
for Friday official. McIntyre then confronted Aldis, unhappy
with the decision.
McIntyre made his presence felt at the Chamber yesterday,
attacking Cody Rhodes with the WWE title but ate an RKO and
a Cross Rhodes for his trouble. Randy Orton then hit a quick
RKO on Rhodes to win the match and a spot in the title match
at WrestleMania.
