AEW Dynamite was LIVE from Denver, Colorado, in front of a
jam-packed crowd, on TBS and HBO Max! With AEW Revolution
quickly approaching on March 15, the card is filling up with
marquee matchups!
We learned the stipulation for the AEW World Championship
match between MJF and the challenger, “Hangman” Adam Page.
Despite MJF’s attempt to use a rigged coin, he was caught,
so by decree of Tony Khan, the two will fight in Page’s
preferred stipulation, a Texas Death Match!
In the main event, it was absolute chaos for Mile High
Madness! The 5-on-5 fight was anything-goes, and it wound up
all over the arena, with broken tables left everywhere! In
the end, “Jungle” Jack Perry pinned AEW National Champion
Ricochet to win the match for his team!
Meanwhile, Swerve Strickland explained his attack on Kenny
Omega, emphasizing he wasn’t happy that Omega referred to
Brody King as “The Most Dangerous Man in AEW.” King in turn
took exception to that, and after a hard-fought victory over
Mark Davis, King challenged Swerve to face him at
Revolution!
Plus, Jon Moxley beat El Clon in an AEW Continental
Championship Eliminator Match, and The Babes of Wrath
retained the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title by
disqualification against MegaBad!
All that and much more went down on Dynamite! Here are your
complete results!
As we ran down the card for tonight, we heard from both
sides of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match
between the defending Babes of Wrath and MegaBad!
Plus, we took a look back at what went down at the end of
Collision, including FTR’s attack on the family of the Young
Bucks. Matt and Nick Jackson said this is now personal, but
that’s exactly what FTR wanted. The Jacksons can’t wait to
get their hands on FTR tonight in Mile High Madness!
Jon Moxley (c) def. El Clon of the Don Callis Family
As Moxley made his entrance, Renee Paquette brought us some
great insight on our opening contest and even got a word
with Marina Shafir to get an ominous explanation of the pre-
match slap ritual with Mox.
Moxley and Clon had an extended feeling-out process at the
jump, as this was their first singles meeting. Moxley
finally had enough and gave Clon a double bird! Clon lured
Moxley in and gave him a stiff kick to the gut before
landing a variety of strikes from different angles. And
Moxley looked utterly perplexed as he tried to shake off the
pain. Moxley knocked Clon to the outside and ran his head
off the announce desk. Mox set Clon up on a chair and
unloaded with right hands before slamming Clon’s head into
the LED board. Moxley threw Clon back in and hit a release
suplex for a two-count. Moxley locked Clon in an upper-arm
submission until Clon broke the hold by getting to the
ropes. Moxley put Clon in the corner and dropped him to the
mat with a pair of chops that could be heard throughout the
arena. When Mox went for a third, Clon ducked and answered
with his own chops until he used the tag rope to choke
Moxley! Clon was giving Moxley a taste of his own brutal
medicine.
Clon hit a kick combo to set up a vertical suplex on Mox,
but when Clon tried to springboard onto Mox, he moved to the
floor, so Clon adjusted and dove onto Mox. He followed by
running up the guardrail for a standing moonsault, and
Clon’s aggressive nature had him in control of this one!
Clon continued to work over Moxley on the outside and
started to ground him on the mat, until Moxley escaped and
went back to the floor to catch his breath. Clon gave him no
chance to do that, as he followed up and nailed a big boot
to Moxley’s face. With 10 minutes to go, Moxley lured Clon
into a dive and battered him with an elbow strike. As Clon
struggled to get up on the apron, Moxley stomped him head-
first into the apron, which sent Clon back to the floor.
Clon just beat the count to keep the match going, so Moxley
clotheslined him right back over the top and connected with
a tope suicida on the floor!
Back in the ring, Clon escaped Moxley’s double-underhook and
hit a spinning heel kick. Clon knocked Moxley over the
second rope and kicked it into Moxley’s throat before taking
off to the opposite side, but Moxley was ready with a King
Kong lariat! Moxley picked up Clon for a delayed piledriver
and nailed it! Clon kicked out at two! Moxley ran into
Clon’s boot in the corner and escaped a second charge, but
Moxley showed patience as Clon used his body to spring back
up, which allowed Moxley to grab a choke! Clon broke the
hold and sent Moxley to the floor. Clon ran up the ropes and
hit a one-legged springboard moonsault all the way to Moxley
on the floor! You can guarantee Moxley has never dealt with
that kind of offense before in his life!
Moxley went back to the ring, so Clon went to the top, but
on his way down, Mox caught him with a cutter! After
answering the referee’s count, Moxley and Clon went blow for
blow until Moxley knocked Clon to the mat, but when he went
for another stomp, Clon used the momentum to vault out of
it! A kick combo put Moxley on the mat once again, so Clon
went back to the top and squished Moxley with a vicious
double stomp to the upper chest and neck area! Moxley kicked
out with less than five minutes on the clock!
Clon signaled for a Portal Bomb, but Moxley escaped and
spiked Clon with a Paradigm Shift! That might have been
enough, yet Moxley took no chances and nailed a Death Rider
on Clon to get the pinfall victory! What a start to
Dynamite!
Swerve Strickland Explains His Actions Towards Kenny Omega
After the match, we took a look back at last week’s main
event that saw Swerve Strickland defeat Kenny Omega, but the
real story was what happened after the match. Strickland
viciously attacked Omega and hanged him over the top rope
with a chain before putting him through the announce table
with a nasty Vertebreaker! However, we heard a voice over
the footage and returned to the arena to see Prince Nana
berate the announce team about Swerve’s $100K fine and
suspension from Collision. He made the announcers get up
from the table, so he could announce Swerve as “The Most
Dangerous Man in AEW!” Swerve stood on top of the table and
soaked in the boos before asking, “You miss me, sickos?”
Swerve said he thought the fans would enjoy what he did to
Omega last week, but maybe not because it happened to one of
their favorites. Swerved noted that the announce table
seemed to be reinforced this week, probably because he put
Omega through it last week. Swerve couldn’t believe that
Omega called someone else (Brody King) “The Most Dangerous
Man in AEW” and that Omega challenged him as a man and a
threat. Stickland said Omega is another EVP whom he took
down and won’t be in his problems anymore. After taking a
second to insult a fan, Swerve said he’s been able to take
down The Elite and referred back to a conversation he had
with “Hangman” Adam Page before All In Texas when Swerve
said he regretted the terrible things he had done to become
AEW World Champion. However, Swerve realized that was the
most successful time of his career, so he chose to live his
life with no regrets. Swerve said the entire roster is on
notice, and if you dare stop him, he’ll take you down, too.
Swerve closed things out by reminding everyone who “The Most
Dangerous Man in AEW STILL IS!”
As Swerve exited, we went to the back, where Brody King and
ROH World Champion Bandido were standing by. King addressed
Swerve’s issue with Omega, calling himself “The Most
Dangerous Man in AEW” by saying he has a problem with Swerve
thinking he should be the next AEW World Champion. King said
tonight against Mark Davis, he’s going to prove why he’s
next for an AEW World Title shot! WOOF!
Gabe Kidd def. Orange Cassidy
As Cassidy entered, a LOST poster featuring Roderick Strong
appeared on the video boards and in the hands of many fans
in the crowd, as Strong hasn’t been around since leaving
Cassidy high and dry in a tag match two weeks ago on
Dynamite. Kidd attacked Cassidy at the bell and punished him
from corner to corner until OC turned things around with an
armdrag. He caught Kidd with a pair of near-falls and then
bounced Kidd off a pair of turnbuckles, but Kidd stopped him
and ran his own head into the buckles! Cassidy got back in
the ring and tried a spinning DDT, but Kidd caught him and
dropped Cassidy with a straight right hand that got a two-
count!
Kidd almost toyed with Cassidy, as he threw him around the
ringside area and back and forth around the mat. Kidd
stopped Cassidy from hitting a Stundog Millionaire and put
him on the top turnbuckle before shoving Cassidy all the way
to the floor! Kidd stopped the referee’s count and threw
Cassidy back into the ring, but Cassidy stumbled out to the
other side. When Kidd followed, Cassidy rolled back in, so
Kidd followed, and Cassidy went out again in an act of
defiance. When Cassidy rolled back in, Kidd stomped him, but
when he picked Cassidy back up, Cassidy nailed a Stundog
Millionaire that sent Kidd to the floor! Cassidy followed
with a diving elbow through the ropes and threw Kidd back in
the ring. He went to the top and nailed a diving DDT on Kidd
for a two-count, as Cassidy was finally putting some offense
together. Kidd escaped a Beach Break, but couldn’t get out
of the way of a PK. Cassidy continued with a spinning DDT
and called for the Orange Punch! Kidd countered with a
massive forearm followed by a stacked powerbomb for a two-
count. Kidd hit a huge knee strike to the jaw, followed by a
backdrop driver. Cassidy fought back, only for Kidd to
rebound backwards with a lariat that put both men on the
mat!
Cassidy and Kidd fought up from their knees, although it was
Kidd striking with everything he had and Cassidy using more
deliberate shots that excited the fans, but seemingly did
nothing to Kidd. When Cassidy put his hands in his pockets,
Kidd spat in his face, so Cassidy nailed a Beach Break! Kidd
fired up his shoulder at two! Cassidy went for the Orange
Punch, but Kidd pulled the referee in his path and gouged
Cassidy’s eyes. That provided the opening to finish OC off
with a jumping pildriver, which gave Kidd the pinfall
victory!
Clark Connors hit the ring after the match to continue the
assault on Cassidy! Darby Allin came flying down the ramp
and nailed Kidd with his skateboard! He baited Connors with
his skateboard and nailed a Code Red! Kidd tried to attack,
so Cassidy hit him with an Orange Punch. Allin came off the
top with the skateboard stomp onto Kidd’s back!
Thunder Rosa vs. Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Title Next
Week!
We learned some breaking news, as next week, Dynamite will
be in El Paso, Texas, and former AEW Women’s World Champion
Thunder Rosa will have a chance to regain that title when
she faces the current champion, Thekla! Backstage, Renee
Paquette was with Rosa and Kris Statlander. Paquette
informed us that Statlander will be cleared for competition
on Saturday, but Thunder cut her off to address Thekla. She
said the AEW Women’s World Championship that Thekla is
holding was made by women like Thunder. Statlander told her
to be careful, so Thunder wondered if Stat was questioning
her ability to handle Thekla. Thunder said it’s her and
Statlander versus Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart and Skye Blue,
this Saturday on Collision! Statlander said she’ll be there,
but just be careful. Thunder said she doesn’t do careful and
sent some final words to Thekla before leaving.
AEW World Trios Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight def. Mansoor
We went to the ring for a standby match, as Knight was set
to face Mansoor, coming off a successful AEW World Trios
Title defense with “Hangman” Adam Page and “Speedball” Mike
Bailey over The Demand on Collision.
Knight grabbed an early advantage and sent Mansoor to the
ramp, but Mansoor fought right back in and dropped Knight
with a neckbreaker. He stomped Knight in the corner and sent
him to the opposite side, but Knight was waiting with a back
elbow. Mansoor escaped a backdrop and executed a fluid
Manhattan drop/spinbuster combo! Mansoor went to the top and
missed a moonsault! Knight dropped Mansoor three times and
leapt to the top rope to bring Mansoor back to the mat with
a hurricanrana! Knight followed with his pendulum DDT and
crushed Mansoor with a UFO Splash from the top to get the
three count and win!
After the match, Knight greeted the Denver crowd and said
that regardless of what stipulation MJF and Page make later
tonight, he knows Page is going to walk away from Revolution
as the AEW World Champion. Knight has been racking up
victories and told Page that, when he wins, he wants the
first shot at the AEW World Title. Knight concluded by
saying he’s not only the future, but the here and now!
AEW World Champion MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page Decide the
Stipulation for Revolution
Tony Schiavone introduced Page and MJF to determine the
stipulation for their AEW World Championship match at
Revolution. MJF asked the crowd to show respect for their
champion and addressed Page. He said Page was bold and
brazen last week by putting his right to any future AEW
World Title shots on the line if he loses to MJF at
Revolution.
MJF said Page must not be much of a historian because Page
is about to be the second man whose AEW career was ended by
MJF, by making sure Page can never be the AEW World Champion
again. MJF insulted the crowd and their choice of
recreational activities in Denver, saying that they will
have no say on the stipulation. He started to launch into
his stipulation, which he called fair, but said it would
come down to a coin flip. If Page wins, they will have a
Texas Death match at Revolution. If MJF wins, he wants a
“One-Way No Disqualification Match.” That means MJF can do
whatever he wants, but Page will get disqualified if he does
as much as think about using a weapon. So, MJF wants to know
whether Page is a coward or will he accept?
Page said he’ll do it, but before MJF flips the coin, he
wants to know if MJF understands what he’s doing tonight.
Texas Death will change you. Who would MJF be if Page
dragged him through broken glass? Who would MJF be if he
crammed barbed wire between his lips, tore his gums apart,
and if they’re lucky, Page would tear MJF’s tongue out! “If
it’s Texas Death, Max, you truly don’t stand a chance.”
Page said he could beat MJF’s ass in any kind of match, even
his dog-s*** match. But Page wants this to be it. He wants
it to be final.
“If I can’t beat a piece of s*** like you, then I don’t
deserve this championship.”
Page said it was time to flip the coin, but MJF said he was
feeling very lucky, as well. The coin was flipped, and
Schiavone called it…MJF wins, and it will be a One-Way No
Disqualification Match!
MJF went to leave, but Page called him back and demanded to
see the coin. MJF refused and tried to go up the ramp, but
he walked into JetSpeed on one side and Brodido on the
other! Page demanded to see the coin again, so MJF was
forced back into the ring by King! Page got a hold of the
coin, and it was rigged! Schiavone relayed a message from
Tony Khan: Because MJF used a rigged coin, it will be a
Texas Death Match between Page and MJF for the AEW World
Title at Revolution! As Page left with some satisfaction,
MJF was absolutely beside himself in the ring.
We took a look back at the TV debut of the Brawling Birds,
Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, as they were victorious on
Dynamite. After the win, the Birds made sure everyone saw
what they did because they beat the piss out of those two
girls. And it was easy peasy, lemon squeezy, according to
Hayter.
Windsor added, “And we don’t give a f***!”
Hayter corrected her, and together they said, “We don’t give
a flying f***!”
They went off to have a pint.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: The Babes of Wrath
(TBS Champion Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) (c)
def. MegaBad (“Megasus” Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford) with
Lena Kross by Disqualification
This rematch came just 11 days after these two teams last
met for the titles at Grand Slam Australia. Nightingale and
Bayne started things with a shoving match followed by a
strike battle until Nightingale dropped Bayne with a
shoulder tackle. She flexed accordingly, and Denver loved
it! They exchanged bodyslam attempts until Ford made a blind
tag and Bayne kicked Nightingale into a rollup by Ford for a
two-count. Nightingale sent Ford to the corner and hit 10
short clotheslines! She tagged in Cameron and hit a basement
crossbody on Ford, which Cameron followed with a flying kick
to the chest!
The Babes nailed a backpack senton, but Bayne came in to
break up the pin. The Babes sent MegaBad to the floor with
stereo clotheslines, then followed up to continue the
offense. Bayne got back in the ring and knocked Cameron off
the apron to the floor, which she immediately followed with
a dive to wipe out the Babes! Ford came off the top with a
moonsault to take out Nightingale and Cameron yet again!
MegaBad had all of the momentum and was in full control!
Bayne was dominating Cameron until she came back with a
desperation DDT out of nowhere. Nightingale tagged in like a
house of fire! Nightingale got Bayne in the corner and hit
an elbow/splash combo, but missed a boot only to come back
with a spinebuster for a near-fall! Nightingale hit a German
suplex to send Bayne to the floor and followed with a
running cannonball off the apron onto Bayne! Back in the
ring, Nightingale tried for a Babe With the Powerbomb, but
Bayne ran her into the corner. All of a sudden, Lena Kross
came out of nowhere to attack Nightingale, which resulted in
a disqualification! Kross and Bayne continued the assault on
Nightingale and Cameron until Kross put one of the AEW
Women’s World Tag Team Titles on Bayne’s shoulder.
Brody King def. Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family
The crowd was electric before the bell even rang, as they
couldn’t wait to see these two behemoths go at it! They
bounced off each other in a measurement of strength, but
that turned into an exchange of chops that King won briefly
until Davis came back with a thumb to the eyes. Davis
slammed King, but missed a senton only for King to land one
of his own!
Don Callis provided us with this gem on commentary: “I just
love, Nigel, seeing a couple of big, burly, strong men get
their mitts on each other.” For once, Callis might have a
point.
Davis sat on King to stop a charge in the corner and
followed with a lunging elbow strike from across the ring!
King kicked out! Davis bounced off the ropes and right into
a Death Valley Driver, which sent Davis to the outside. King
tried to dive after him, but Davis was ready with an elbow
strike to King’s head that left him in a slump on the floor!
Davis kept the punishment going on the floor and remained in
control for a few uninterrupted minutes. The two wound up in
a strike battle, which King stopped with a big chop. Davis
followed King to the ropes with a clothesline, so King did
the same thing right back to Davis! Davis ran at King and
right into a black hole slam. Davis bailed to the floor, so
King followed with a huge dive to Davis, sending him into
the barricade! Davis briefly turned things around by sending
King into the barricade, but he missed a charge and landed
in a chair. That gave King the chance to smush Davis into
the LED board with a charging crossbody!
Back in the ring, King nailed Davis with a running
cannonball in the corner! Davis slipped into a rear-naked
choke, but King went after Davis’ injured hand to break the
hold and then stomped on it for good measure! King held onto
Davis for repeated strikes until Davis slipped behind for a
German suplex! King came back with a backdrop suplex! Davis
got back to his feet and floored King with a lariat! Both
men struggled to their feet, and it was Davis who connected
with an enzigiri. Davis blocked a strike from King, but did
it with his bad hand, which allowed King to stop him with a
lariat before pulling Davis into another lariat to get the
win!
King grabbed the mic. “SWERVE! I want you to look into my
eyes and tell me that I’m not exactly who I say I am. I am
number one in violence! I am the most dangerous man in AEW!
March 15. Revolution. MY Backyard. I’m looking for a fight!
WOOF!”
We saw Swerve and Prince Nana watching in the back, as
Swerve nodded and walked away.
Bandido said he wants a fight at Revolution, too! He was
answered by Andrade El Ídolo, who appeared on stage with Don
Callis. Bandido went to the ramp and pointed his (finger)
gun at Andrade, and Andrade answered with his trademark fist
extended back at Bandido!
TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher Has His “Pinky”
Renee Paquette welcomed Fletcher back stateside, as we got a
look at Fletcher’s new pink TNT Title, and reminded Fletcher
that Tommaso Ciampa claims the TNT Title is still his.
Fletcher shot down the notion of Ciampa holding a claim to
the TNT Title because he held it for two weeks. Ciampa
stepped into the ring with Fletcher and lost. Fletcher told
Ciampa that “Silvey” isn’t going anywhere near Ciampa
anytime soon because now it’s “Pinky” and it belongs to
Fletcher. AEW International Champion “The Rainmaker”
Kazuchika Okada showed up and said he’s proud of Fletcher.
They’ve both constantly been champions, unlike Takeshita.
Okada considers Fletcher his best friend, so on Collision,
he proposes they team up for the first time as…PROTOKADA!
Fletcher agreed, and Okada even got Paquette’s approval!
Mile High Madness (Anything Goes): “Jungle” Jack Perry,
Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) & The Rascalz (Dezmond
Xavier and Zachary Wentz) def. The Demand (AEW National
Champion Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) & AEW World
Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler)
In the main event, “Jungle” Jack Perry was attacked by all
five of his opponents before anyone else made their
entrance, but it’s anything goes, so this match was
underway! Matt Jackson knocked Ricochet off the top rope,
and Nick Jackson dove onto GOA and FTR from the ramp! Matt
came off the top with a crossbody to continue the Bucks'
quick strikes on GOA and FTR. The Rascalz made their way to
the ring and immediately jumped into the action, which began
spilling out all over the arena!
We caught a glimpse in the crowd of someone in a mask, only
to reveal it was Stokely in his wheelchair! Wheeler tried to
send him into Matt Jackson, but Matt threw a trash can. Matt
teased sending Stoke down the stairs, but Wheeler grabbed
the chair and ran it into Matt, knocking him down the
stairs! As the brawls waged on all over, the music of Perry
continued to blare for a fantastic soundtrack to the
madness.
Back in the ringside area, Perry took Ricochet down with a
DDT only to be sent flying over the timekeeper’s table
thanks to a pounce by Liona! Nick missed a moonsault onto
GOA, so Liona threw Nick into FTR! The Bucks and FTR started
fighting in the crowd with anything they could find,
including garbage cans! Back in the ring, the Demand was
dominating the Rascalz!
Liona and Xavier wound up on top of the ramp, where it
looked like Liona was about to one-handed press slam Xavier
all the way to the floor, but Myron Reed ran out and stunned
Liona with a fire extinguisher! He used it to knock Liona
back in the ring and ran down the ramp to fly over the ropes
with a stunner to Liona. Reed knocked both members of FTR to
the floor, but they caught his somersault dive and slammed
him ribs-first onto the announce table! FTR turned back
around into a dive from Perry from out of nowhere! He found
a chair and then a kendo stick under the ring, but went back
under and pulled out a vacuum cleaner! As Harwood begged for
help on the mic, Perry nailed him and Wheeler with the
vacuum before using the dust bin to hit Liona in the head!
With Liona stunned, Perry ran to the top and hit a diving
DDT for a near-fall on the first pin attempt of the match!
Nick threw a trash can at Ricochet to stop a Doomsday Device
on Perry! Nick saved Matt with another can shot on Kaun,
which they transitioned into an assisted Sliced Bread before
another can shot! The Bucks draped Ricochet over the rope
and connected with the double stomp/powerbomb combo! Nick
nailed a senton from the top, but only got a two-count! FTR
came back in to save Ricochet, but bailed back to the
outside to avoid superkicks! Wentz and Xavier threw FTR back
in the ring, which sent Wheeler and Harwood into a Superkick
Party!
The Bucks set up a table on the floor and tried to suplex
Liona from the ring, but he blocked it and brought them both
back in the ring the hard way! Liona nearly had a double
Samoan Drop, but was taken out at the knees and then hit
with quintuple superkicks at the same time! Matt and Nick
took FTR, Ricochet and Kaun out on the outside so that
Xavier could come off the top with a Shooting Star Press!
Back in the ring, Perry held Liona up for a piledriver, but
Liona got out of it with a back body drop that sent Perry
over the top and through a table on the floor!
Xavier found himself in a 3-on-1 situation against The
Demand, slumped in the corner and with absolutely nowhere to
go, as they were relentless in their attack. Harwood and
Kaun sent Xavier to the mat with a double superplex, so
Wheeler could come off the adjacent turnbuckle with a splash
to finish off a modified Power and Glory. However, that
wasn’t it, as Liona nailed a second rope headbutt and
Ricochet connected with a 450 splash! All of Xavier’s
teammates came in to break up the pin, as the crowd was
whipped into a frenzy with all of this wild main event
action!
Eventually, FTR had Matt set up for the spike piledriver,
just like the one they gave Matt’s younger brother, Malachi,
on Collision! He escaped and sent Harwood into Wheeler,
which knocked him off the top and onto the turnbuckle. Nick
met Wheeler up there with a hurricanrana, and Matt dropped
Harwood with a DDT. Back on the outside, Wentz and Xavier
had Ricochet set up for a double Spanish Fly from the
barricade and connected by sending Ricochet through a table!
This is ABSOLUTE MILE HIGH MADNESS!
Liona wound up in a 5-on-1 disadvantage, as they tried to
knock him from the apron through a table on the floor. Perry
tried to sunset flip powerbomb Liona, but couldn’t pull him
down until the Young Bucks nailed a pair of superkicks to
send Liona crashing through the table! The Bucks sent
Harwood to the floor and threw Wheeler out on top of him to
wreck yet another table!
The Rascalz hit Hot Fire Flame on Kaun! Perry put Ricochet
down with a Canadian Destroyer! The Bucks hit Ricochet with
the BTE Trigger and then helped send Perry flying into
Ricochet with a knee to the head! Perry covered Ricochet for
the three-count and the win! Perry just pinned the AEW
National Champion! That will do it from Denver!
