It’s another night of Luchadore action from Mexico featuring
the most unpredictable and dreaded confrontation in
professional wrestling: The Contract Signing.
I’m going to go right out onto this limb and predict that it
doesn’t go as planned.
Footage of Dominick Mysterio arriving to work was shown,
along with footage of Vikingo and Omos just chilling in the
parking lot.
AAA Latin American Championship Match: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner
Jr. (c) vs. Belcegor
Wagner came to the ring and grabbed a mic. He addressed the
crowd and Rey Mysterio translated for us rubes. Wagner said
that he would take on anyone, but he knows who wants his
title. He said that he wanted to defend his title against
the “Wagnermaniacs” and he called out anyone from the back.
The challenge was answered by Belcegor.
Belcegor sent Wagner into the corner off the top and hit him
with a dropkick. He sent Wagner to the mat with a lariat. He
then laid him out across the ropes for a neckbreaker,
keeping control of the match. Belcegor laid in a few kicks
and that seemed to wake up Wagner.
Wagner came off the ropes with a head butt and then chopped
Belcegor to the mat. He sent him tot he corner and landed a
step up knee and a death valley driver, but only a two
count. Wagner lifted Belcegor up on his shoulders for a drop
down powerbomb and that was it. Wagner gets the victory.
Match Result: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated Belcegor
After the match Wagner got back on the mic and called out
Santos Esobar. Escobar appeared on the videotron, reminding
Wagner that he wasn’t in Mexico tonight. He said that their
match will happen on his terms.
AAA Cruiserweight Championship Match: Laredo Kid (c) vs.
T.J. Perkins
Laredo has held the Crusierweight title for over 400 days at
this point and TJP has been wearing short pants for all of
them (I presume).
The match started with TJP going for a wristlock, trying to
get the technical advantage. They flipped around and traded
wristlocks untl Laredo got TJP in a head scissor. TJP worked
himself out of it and the two took a second to reset.
TJP sent Laredo off the ropes who came back with a
headscissor takedown. They moved tot he outside where TJP
bonked Laredo off the announce table. They climbed to the
apron and Laredo laid TJP out with a big punch, but TJP came
back with a dropkick.
TJP worked Laredo over in the corner, including a running
boot to the face. TJP hit a backbreaker for a two count and
then put on a headlock. He then started messing with
Laredo’s mask before sending him to the corner. When he
charged, Laredo moved and hit a missile dropkick.
TJP went to the outside, but Laredo followed with a dive.
Laredo set him up in the corner for a big forearm and then
put him on the top turnbuckle. TJP knocked him off the
turnbuckle, but Laredo moved to avoid the splash.
Perkins tried to steal one with a handfull of tights, but
the Ref saw it and called it off. Laredo then rolled up TJP
and the ref counted three, but TJP had his hand on the
ropes! The ref didn’t see it though and Laredo was declared
the winner.
Match Result: Laredo Kid defeated T.J. Perkins
After the match, TJP dropkicked Laredo to the outside and
then sent him into the steel steps. He laid Laredo out on
them and punched him repeatedly. The ref tried to stop it,
but TJP grabbed the title belt and smashed Laredo in the
face with it. He then set up Laredo and stomped his head
onto the steps again.
El Fiscal vs. Abismo Negro
This is a grudge match with a capital grudge as El Fiscal
and Negro have included lots and lots of fire in their
matches so far.
The two started brawling right off the top with Fiscal being
sent to the outside. Fiscal was pulled down by Negro via
ankle and Negro sent him flying into the stairs. Fiscal
crawled around the side of the ring but negro was waiting
for him and thew punches across the barricade, and laid a
few into his gut just for good measure.
Fiscal countered though and sent Negro into the opposite
steps smashing his shoulder against them. Fiscal then
started clearing off the announce table, which is we all
know from watching professional wrestling means that he’s
setting up a nice dinner.
In reality though, Fiscal grabbed Negro by the noggin
punched him a bunch of times, setting him up for a table
spot. The ref finally got involved and tried to stop Fiscal
who threw him into the side of the ring apron. By doing so,
Fiscal actually got himself disqualified and the bell rang
ending the match.
Match Result: Abismo Negro defeated El Fiscal via DQ
They weren’t done though as Negra was still laid out over
the announce table. Security came down to the ring and if
you’ve ever watched professional wrestling you know there is
no more inept group in the world than WWE sponsored Security
Forces.
They failed to stop Fiscal getting up on the table but they
did stop him when he tried to pile drive Negro through it.
After being pulled off the table, Negro came back to life
and swept Fiscal’s ankle leaving him lying on said table.
Security tried to take Negro to the back and Fiscal got back
in the ring, only to dive over the top rope to take out the
security guards holding Negro back. Negro started punching
Fiscal and the two brawled all the way up the ramp while
roughly 17 security guards could do absolutely nothing to
pull these two apart. Fiscal started punching Negro up
against the ring apron and finally enough security arrived
to break them apart.
But, no! Fiscal and Negro started brawling a third time but
security managed to separate them. Fiscal went back into the
ring and dropped his straps which is wrestling code for “I’m
getting real serious now.”
Security took Negro to the back but Fiscal remained in the
ring calling for him to come down to fight, while some more
security knelt at the side of the ring begging Fiscal not to
do anything rash. Fiscal took that opportunity to pose for a
minute.
-Backstage El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr was interviewed on his
way out of the arena but before he could say too much, he
was attacked from behind by Santos Escobar who was in fact,
in Mexico, despite what he’d had us believe earlier.
-Next up was the dreaded contract signing, the most
dangerous segment in all of professional wrestling between
AAA Mega Champion Dominic Mysterio and El Hijo de Vikingo.
They’re set to face each other at Rey de Reyes but first,
the paperwork.
Desks and chairs were set up in the ring as both wrestlers
made their way down, Mysterio getting the much bigger pop
but the Vikingoo having the much bigger friend in Omos.
Dominic said he’d be Mega Champion for a very long time. He
said that he’s going to hold the Mega Championship so long
that no one will be able to think of anyone but him when
they look at it. Mysterio called Vikingo a “cockroach that
wouldn’t die” and promised that when he beats him, he’ll
never get another shot as long as Mysterio is champion.
Vikingo said that he only needs one opportunity to humiliate
Mysterio and he’s going to do it. When he wins the Mega
Championship, Mysterio must leave Mexico and AAA forever,
which I really don’t think he has the authority to do, but
it sounds good. He then said that their match would be No
DQ.
Mysterio signed his side of the paper and Vikingo
celebrated, calling him an idiot. Vikingo said that he’s
going to enjoy beating Mysterio and will show him what’s
going to happen to him at Rey de Reyes.
The scene switched to a hospital where Dr. Vikingo entered
the room of the wrestler formerly known as Mini Vikingo, who
was laid up in a neck brace after a beating from Omos.
Vikingo started beating him up (the hospital must employ the
same security guards) and Vikingo threw him out of the bed
and said that Mysterio would take his spot at Rey De Reyes.
Back in the arena, Mysterio said congratulations to Vikingo
for beating up a kid. He then said they could just have
their match now and Omos stepped in between them. Mysterio
backed into the corner, but who should come to his rescue?
El Grande Americano! The green one!
Americano hit Omos with a chair, but it didn’t even phase
the giant. Mysterio slipped out of the ring and started
walking up the ramp with Americano when OG Americano arrived
to take out Americano Green. Mysterio didn’t do anything to
help him and the show ended.
