ALL ELITE WRESTLING DYNAMITE/TBS/MAX: ‘F*** ICE!’ Chant breaks out at AEW Dynamite event (Newsweek.com)

Fans erupted with a "F*** ICE" chant during the main event
of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite on Wednesday at the T-
Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The chant, aimed at Immigration and Customs Enforcement,
broke out as Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) faced "Big, Bad"
Brody King in an AEW World Championship eliminator match.

Newsweek has contacted the AEW and ICE for comment.

Why It Matters

ICE is facing mounting public scrutiny amid a growing list
of allegations of misconduct, including claims of excessive
use of force, heavy-handed tactics, racial profiling and
denial of due process. Civil rights groups, immigrant
advocacy organizations and some lawmakers have criticized
the agency, arguing that its practices disproportionately
affect marginalized communities and undermine trust in
federal enforcement.

What To Know

During the event on Wednesday, the anti-ICE chant drew MJF's
attention, and he appeared momentarily surprised. He paused
and looked toward the audience as the chant echoed loudly
throughout the arena.

Footage shows the chant lasting several seconds, clearly
audible to both the live audience and television viewers. No
official statements have been released by AEW or the show's
broadcasters regarding the chant.

Right after the match started, Hangman Page appeared and
distracted MJF, giving Brody King an opening to quickly take
control. King dominated the match and won decisively,
pinning MJF to secure a future AEW World Title shot.

After the match, Andrade El Idolo ran in and attacked King,
then went after MJF. Page returned to intervene, and MJF
briefly fought back, but King regained control and ended the
segment standing in the ring as the show concluded.

King's victory sets him up for a title match against MJF at
AEW Grand Slam: Australia on February 14.

The anti-ICE chants come as the agency deals with blowback
after federal agents shot and killed two U.S. citizens on
the streets in Minneapolis.

A poll by Reuters and Ipsos conducted from January 24 to
January 26 found that 39 percent of Americans approved of
the job President Donald Trump was doing on immigration,
while 53 percent disapproved. Fifty-eight percent of
respondents said ICE agents had gone too far in their
enforcement actions. The poll surveyed 1,139 U.S. adults and
had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
The fieldwork took place immediately before and after the
second Minneapolis shooting, capturing the public's
immediate reactions.
