Tommaso Ciampa won the TNT title on Collision last night,
landing the title in his first match on AEW television.
The match ended after Ciampa hit a knee strike on Briscoe,
after several failed attempts to pin him following multiple
Psycho Drillers.
Ciampa, whose WWE contract expired several days ago, made
his AEW debut on Dynamite this past Wednesday and went face-
to-face with Mark Briscoe when Briscoe announced an open
challenge.
He also joins Mercedes Mone in winning an AEW title in their
debut match.
The Esports Stadium crowd in Arlington celebrated Ciampa’s
win and chanted “you deserve it” as Ciampa posed with the
title.
