ALL ELITE WRESTLING COLLISION/HOLIDAY BASH/TNT/HBO MAX: December 20 report

Posted on 12/20/125 by Bob Magee

The gifts of professional wrestling were on full display for
the second half of AEW Collision Holiday Bash on TNT and
streaming on HBO Max from Co-op Live in Manchester, England!
And it was quite the day of upsets.

“The Jet” Kevin Knight defeated the AEW Unified Champion and
2024 Continental Classic winner “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika
Okada in a stunning upset to pull into a first-place tie
with Okada and three others in the Gold League at six
points. Part of that group still includes Knight’s JetSpeed
partner “Speedball” Mike Bailey, who fell to “Jungle” Jack
Perry earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné held an open challenge for the Rev
Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, which was
answered and won by Alex Windsor, as we saw the crowning of
a new champion. And Eddie Kingston made short, impressive
work of England’s own Nathan Cruz.

Here's everything that happened on the second half of AEW
Collision Holiday Bash in Manchester, England, for December
20, 2025, including your full results and match recaps.

AEW Collision Holiday Bash Recap Today for Manchester

Continental Classic Gold League: “Jungle” Jack Perry (3
points) def. “Speedball” Mike Bailey (6 points)

We opened up the second half of AEW Collision Holiday Bash
with a first-time matchup in the Continental Classic.
Bailey’s speed was a problem for Perry in the early moments,
as he was still dealing with an ankle issue. Perry came back
with chops and a suplex, but Bailey lit him up with kicks,
which sent Perry to the outside. Before Bailey could pick up
momentum, Perry pulled him to the outside. Perry went back
in for a dive of his own, but Bailey sprang to the middle
rope to avoid Perry and then executed a beautiful moonsault
all in one motion. Spectacular stuff from Speedball!

Bailey went to the top, so Perry bailed back to the outside,
and Bailey followed only to run into a back elbow, which
gave Perry the opening to deposit Bailey back-first on the
steel steps! Perry punished Bailey on the outside with more
chops until they returned to the ring as we went to
commercial!

A kick combo led into a standing shooting star press, which
gave Bailey a two-count on Perry. He scaled the ropes again
and missed another shooting star press but landed on his
feet. The two battled on the apron until Bailey swept
Perry’s bad ankle. He tried the backflip knees, but Perry
moved, and Bailey got nothing but the corner of the apron.
Perry immediately took advantage with a running destroyer on
the apron! However, Perry seemed to do more damage to his
own ankle as he limped up, threw Bailey back in the ring,
and went to the top. Bailey met up, so Perry fought him off
and then missed a stomp, which further exacerbated his
injury.

Bailey kicked Perry into the corner and tried for a
roundhouse kick, but Perry was ready for it and threw Bailey
over his head into the corner. Perry tried a bridging German
suplex, although he couldn’t get all of the torque needed on
his bad wheel, which allowed Bailey to kick out. Bailey
caught a running Perry with a kick to the chin and set him
up for a Flamingo Driver, but Perry escaped over his back to
get a near-fall. The two battled for position on the mat
until Perry locked in the Snaretrap, but Bailey got to the
ropes. Perry tried it again, only for Bailey to trap him in
a pinning predicament that Perry escaped with a shove.

Bailey hit two big shots on Perry and tried for the backflip
knees again, but Perry desperately threw up his own knees to
block the move. Bailey got back up with a thrust kick to
Perry’s face, followed by a spinning kick in the corner. He
went for the Ultima Weapon from the top, so Perry moved and
then bit Bailey’s foot! He hit a back-drop suplex to score
the pinfall and his first three points of the Continental
Classic! A festively dressed LuchaClaus made his way to the
ring to celebrate with Perry and a sack of gifts, as
Speedball and Perry embraced after a hard-fought battle!

Eddie Kingston def. Nathan Cruz

“The Professional” Nathan Cruz was in the ring alongside the
Grizzled Young Veterans as we heard the music of Eddie
Kingston, much to the delight of the raucous crowd in
attendance! Kingston walked right through Zack Gibson and
James Drake on the outside, so they pulled him off the apron
and attacked behind the referee’s back.

They threw Kingston in, and Cruz tried to go on the attack,
but Kingston nailed a chop, and the bell rang, so we were
underway! Cruz came back with a rebound suplex, and Kingston
was in early trouble. Cruz crashed onto Kingston as he was
draped across the middle rope, and Gibson got another shot
in with the referee distracted. Cruz tried it again, but
Kingston moved, so Cruz got the second rope between the
Christmas jewels! Kingston worked Cruz into the corner and
lit him up with machine gun chops! Kingston hit a reverse
neckbreaker, but GYV got on the apron to stop a pin attempt.
Cruz rolled up Kingston for a two-count, but Kingston came
back with an exploder suplex and a DDT to get the win!

We were then treated to an outstanding highlight package
recapping the recent events in the 2025 AEW Continental
Classic.

Rev Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championship Open
Challenge: Alex Windsor def. Mercedes Moné (c) -– NEW
CHAMPION

Alex Windsor answered Moné’s open challenge in her home
country! Windsor’s 769 days in her previous reign as the Rev
Pro Undisputed British Women’s Champion is the record for
the title, so Windsor knows what it means to be a dominant
champion. Plus, Windsor and Moné battled over the summer for
the TBS Championship, so they know each other well.

Windsor stunned Moné with a shotgun dropkick at the bell and
remained in control with a Russian leg sweep and a seated
lariat to get an early nearfall. Windsor quickly locked in
the Sharpshooter, but Moné got to the ropes. On the way up,
she grabbed Windsor’s hair and pulled her onto the apron.
Moné went for a running meteora, so Windsor rolled through
it right back into the Sharpshooter on the apron! Windsor
released the hold and tried to get Moné back in the ring,
but when Moné tried to reverse it, Windsor spun her into a
Blue Thunder Bomb!

Back in the ring, Moné avoided a charge in the corner with a
backstabber and threw Windsor shoulder-first into the ring
post. She nailed a kick to the side of Windsor’s head and
had put herself in control for the next several minutes as
we went to commercial. Back from the break, Moné tried for
Three Amigos, but Windsor anticipated the third and ran Moné
into the corner. Windsor charged, so Moné used her legs to
send Windsor into the second turnbuckle. Moné tried to come
off the rope, but Windsor met her with a headbutt!

Windsor hit a draping neckbreaker from the second rope and
then a draping DDT. She tried for a Sharpshooter, but Moné
rolled it into a pin attempt. Moné was locked in the
Statement Maker, but Windsor rolled through it and got to
her feet. Moné escaped with a crucifix bomb and then a knee
strike on the ropes, but it only got a two count.

Moné brought Windsor to the corner and tried to hit a
tornado DDT from the top rope, but Windsor hung on and put
Moné back on the top turnbuckle. Windsor met her up there
and came down with an avalanche Blue Thunder Bomb, but Moné
kicked out just in time! Moné fought out of Windsor’s grasp
with elbows and went back to the Statement Maker. Windsor
got out and rolled up into a Sharpshooter attempt, so Moné
kicked her away. Moné tried a sunset flip, but Windsor sat
down for a one count. Moné came back up to go for the Moné
Maker, so Windsor slipped out and trapped Moné in a pin to
get the three count. WINDSOR IS THE NEW REV PRO UNDISPUTED
BRITISH WOMEN’S CHAMPION! As Moné cried while clutching the
TBS Championship, Windsor’s son came in the ring to
celebrate!

We were then treated to a package recapping the surprise
return of MJF during the contract signing for what was the
3-Way Match for the AEW World Championship at Worlds End,
which is now instead a 4-Way Match with MJF having signed
his Casino Gauntlet contract!

Continental Classic Gold League: “The Jet” Kevin Knight (6
points) def. AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika
Okada (6 points)

The main event was only the second-ever meeting between
Okada and Knight, as Okada won an AEW Continental
Championship Eliminator against Knight back in May. Don
Callis joined the commentary desk for the C2 Gold League
showdown.

A feeling-out process included both men going for their
signature dropkicks to no avail. Okada backed Knight into
the ropes and let him free with some patronizing slaps to
the chest. Knight mimicked Okada’s Rainmaker pose, complete
with a middle finger! Okada charged, so Knight low-bridged
him to the floor and followed with a springboard, but landed
on his feet when Okada moved. The two exchanged forearms to
a stalemate and decided to return to the ring and continued
the back-and-forth until Okada knocked Knight to a knee.
Knight escaped a Rainmaker by leaping over Okada’s swinging
arm! Knight avoided a dropkick by hanging onto the ropes and
went back into a striking battle. Both men took their
positions on the opposite aprons to potentially springboard
across and into each other, but Okada faked it and laughed
as Knight landed on his feet. Knight answered with a
dropkick that sent Okada to the floor. Knight jumped up to
the top rope and threw caution to the wind with a leaping
clothesline to Okada on the floor!

Knight stalked Okada around the ring until he was baited
into a kick and a DDT on the floor! And now the greatest
tournament wrestler of all time had Knight where he wanted
him. After some chops on the outside, Okada brought Knight
back in and slowed the pace considerably, as he grounded The
Jet. Knight escaped an attack in the corner and nailed a
crossbody. Knight came back with uppercuts and a leaping
clothesline. Knight hit a jumping clothesline in the corner,
followed by a body slam and a standing splash to get a two-
count. Knight tried for a pendulum DDT, so Okada deposited
him on the apron. When Knight tried to springboard, Okada
shoved the referee into the ropes, and Knight crashed to the
mat. Okada hit a neckbreaker at the 10-minute mark and
followed with a bodyslam. He scaled the ropes and dropped
his patented elbow before the Rainmaker pose. He picked up
Knight for the Rainmaker, but Knight elbowed out and turned
a backslide into a sky-high powerbomb for a two count.
Knight went back to the top, but his UFO Splash landed on
Okada’s knees.

Okada hit a modified Rainmaker and kept wrist control, but
Knight ducked the second attempt at the Rainmaker, so Okada
hit a picture-perfect dropkick! Okada picked up Knight for
another Rainmaker, so Knight pushed him off and hit his own
dropkick! Knight came back with a spike DDT and hit a
springboard clothesline for a very close two-count. With
Okada sitting in the corner, Knight scaled the adjacent
turnbuckle looking for coast-to-coast, but when Knight left
his feet, Okada sprang up and met Knight with a dropkick!
Okada immediately grabbed Knight for another Rainmaker, but
Knight stopped the momentum, which Okada turned into a
wheelbarrow suplex. Okada tried to pick Knight up, but
Knight grabbed a cradle for the three-count! Okada and
Callis are shocked! Kevin Knight just defeated Kazuchika
Okada! We now have a five-way tie atop the Gold League! What
a way to finish the Holiday Bash!
