Deadline.com is reporting that CM Punk has joined the cast
of the Netflix rom-com The Bodyguard.
The current WWE World Heavyweight champion will play the
role of the character named Doghouse, described as a
“physically intimidating member of the security detail, who
is known for his loyalty and humor.”
Netflix has not revealed any plot of the film but it’s based
on a 2022 novel where a bodyguard is assigned to protect a
charming action star over the holidays, leading sparks to
fly and secrets to unravel.
The cast already includes Andie MacDowell, Walker Hayes,
Noah LaLonde, and Toby Sandeman. It will be directed by
Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum.
