Lifetime Ohio-based wrestling fan Terry Armstrong released
the book Holiday Headlock this past July that is a first of
its kind. In Holiday Headlock, pro wrestler Aaron McClellan
returns home from the road after being away for many years
building a successful career in professional wrestling. he
arrives in his hometown of Deer Creek Falls welcomed
lovingly by family and friends, but its running into his
high school crush that will make this a Christmas to
remember.

Holiday Headlock is a Christmas rom-com like no other.
Surrounded by a cast of characters you will never forget,
Aaron must ultimately wrestle with the whether to continue a
life of fortune and fame or embrace the life he once dreamed
of in Deer Creek Falls.

The book is dedicated to author and lifetime wrestling fan
Terry Armstrong's grandmother who was a huge wrestling fan
and with his grandfather took him to wrestling shows all
over the region when he was younger. His grandma often told
a story about a time that wrestling legend Blackjack
Mulligan patted him on the head before he could even walk.
As his grandma got older he began taking her to shows and
was lucky enough to befriend wrestler and promotor Preston
Steele in Ohio.

Steele provided Armstrong the opportunity to do some ring
announcing at his events in the mid-1990's and the
opportunity to live out a life-long dream of him and his
grandmother performing as a wrestling manager at one of the
Ohio-based cards. Combining his generational love of pro
wrestling with his family's avid viewing of holiday romantic
comedies on channels like Hallmark and Lifetime an idea
formed to write Holiday Headlock.

Last year he and his family were discussing how many of the
made for television holiday movies were similar when Terry
said to his wife that they have never done one with a pro
wrestler. His wife jokingly said back to him, "There may be
a reason for that." At that point Terry set out to write it.
So far sales have been good and the most common feedback he
gets is, "This should be a Hallmark movie."

He hopes the book honors all pro wrestlers as without them
and his grandma the book never would have come to be.
