The AEW World title will be on the line at the upcoming Winter
Is Coming episode of Dynamite on Wednesday, December 12.
Eddie Kingston will be challenging champion Samoa Joe for the
gold on the show, a match which was made official by AEW
President Tony Khan after Kingston called out Joe on the
Thanksgiving Day episode of Collision.
Joe won the title from “Hangman” Adam Page at Full Gear this
month.
Winter Is Coming has been held every year since 2020. The
title is a reference to the popular Game of Thrones series
motto. Both shows air on Warner Bros. Discovery properties,
which made it easier for AEW to use the mark.
