AEW had two Blood and Guts matches last night on Dynamite,
including the first-ever women’s match.
The highly-anticipated broadcast did not disappoint, as both
the women and men brought it, showcasing athleticism,
violence, and everything in between. The women’s match,
which kicked off the broadcast, lasted 46 minutes in total
while the men’s match went even longer and clocked 54
minutes.
In the women’s match, the team of Mercedes Mone, Megan
Bayne, Marina Shafir, Thekla, Skye Blue, and Julia Hart
defeated Kris Statlander, Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Willow
Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and Jamie Hayter. This was a
six vs six match, unlike the men’s match which was the
traditional five vs five.
The heels got the win after former AEW Women’s champion Toni
Storm surrendered to save Shirakawa, who was locked in
Shafir’s Mother’s Milk and getting whacked with the TBS
title by Bayne.
Later in the the broadcast, the team of Darby Allin,
Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly, and Orange
Cassidy defeated Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Pac,
Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia of The Death Riders.
Just like the women’s match, this had a ton of violence,
amped up just a little bit more and it was former champion
Jon Moxley who tapped out after Kyle O’Reilly got him in an
ankle lock knee bar.
