Yota Tsuji to challenge Takeshita at Tokyo Dome
The IWGP World Heavyweight and Global Heavyweight Champions
prepare for a historic showdown
After successfully defending the IWGP World Heavyweight
Championship against Hirooki Goto, Konosuke Takeshita
grabbed a microphone, addressing the crowd and asking who
his next challenger would be at the Tokyo Dome.
To everyone’s surprise, it was Yota Tsuji, who had
successfully defended the IWGP Global Heavyweight
Championship earlier that same night against Hiroshi
Tanahashi. This sets up a champion vs. champion showdown at
this year’s Tokyo Dome, with both men ready to risk it all
for supremacy and both belts on the line.
