The AEW Women’s Tag Team title tournament kicked off on
Dynamite last night.
In the first match of the tournament, Julia Hart and Skye
Blue defeated Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata to advance and
will now go on to battle the winners of the Mercedes Mone
and Athena vs Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron first
round match.
Mone/Athena vs Nightingale/Cameron will be taking place next
Wednesday on Dynamite.
Meanwhile, Penelope Ford is out of the tournament due to an
injury. She was teaming with Megan Bayne, who found a new
partner yesterday in the form of Marina Shafir of The Death
Riders.
The other side of the bracket has Bayne and Shafir vs Tay
Melo and Anna Jay and the other match is Alex Windsor and
Riho vs Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa.
