MJF Opens Dynamite With a Message

AEW Dynamite opened with an intense backstage segment
featuring MJF, who unleashed a scathing tirade aimed
squarely at Hangman Adam Page and Mark Briscoe. Furious at
the situation regarding his AEW World Title opportunity, MJF
took direct shots at Hangman, stating:

“Seabiscuit, because of your cowardice, you refuse to give
me a world title shot here in AEW unless I execute my
contract. Because of that fact, one of your close friends is
gonna pay.”

Turning his full attention to Mark Briscoe, MJF's verbal
assault grew deeply personal and incendiary:

“I heard you last week. You are worried you're never gonna
see your brother up again in heaven because of all the sins
you want to commit on me and your refusal to repent. Well, I
don't know if you heard, Marky, but you are looking in the
eyes of the devil and I got no problem sending you straight
to hell. Hell, I'll send you straight back to hell, AKA
Dumpster Fire, Delaware, so you can go back to doing what
God put you on this earth to do. And that is to be nothing
more than a loser, a chicken farmer, a blue-collar bitch.”

Continuing his aggressive disdain, MJF further demeaned
Briscoe’s status and character:

“You are not a professional wrestler. You are not a real
athlete. You are not a real man. You know what you are?
You're not championship material. You, my friend, are white
trash that got lucky. That's why these people cheer for you,
Mark. They pity you, they feel bad for you. And tonight,
Mark Briscoe, I'm afraid your luck's gonna run out.”

Jon Moxley def. Speedball Mike Bailey

In an explosive singles contest on AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley
faced off against Speedball Mike Bailey in a hard-hitting
match. The bout began intensely, with Bailey delivering
precise strikes and a swift dropkick that sent Moxley
reeling. Capitalizing on his momentum, Bailey executed an
impressive backflip knee drop, stunning Moxley at ringside.

However, Moxley quickly regained control, wrenching Bailey's
finger gruesomely and delivering a powerful Avalanche
Butterfly Suplex from the top rope. Commentator Tony
Schiavone vividly noted Moxley's brutal offense: "Good god,
he's gonna break it. If he hasn't broken it, he's gonna pull
it out of its socket."

Bailey mounted a spirited comeback, hitting Moxley with a
pinpoint missile dropkick and a stunning Shooting Star Press
for a close two-count. Displaying his adept submission
skills, Bailey transitioned smoothly into a triangle choke
and a tight Juji Gatame cross armbreaker, putting Moxley in
significant jeopardy.

Amid the chaos, Darby Allin appeared in the crowd and
ambushed Wheeler Yuta, incapacitating him and dragging him
off, which drew Moxley's attention momentarily. Despite this
distraction, Moxley managed to counter Bailey's offensive
flurry with a devastating Death Rider, planting Bailey
directly onto the crown of his head for the decisive pinfall
victory.

Immediately following the bell, Moxley and Shafir departed
into the crowd, heading in the general direction that Allin
had dragged Yuta off in.

Toni Storm & Alex Windsor Continue Their Partnership

In a lively backstage segment on AEW Dynamite, Renee
Paquette interviewed Toni Storm and Alex Windsor ahead of
Windsor's significant four-way matchup, which would
determine AEW’s contender for Mercedes Moné's TBS
Championship at Forbidden Door.

Storm enthusiastically set the scene, saying, “What a
menagerie of bruising, brawling bitches. I used to pray for
times like these.” Windsor then addressed her opponents
directly, stating, “Billie Starkz, Queen Aminata, Skye Blue,
you guys better hit me hard enough for the back row to hear
tonight because the only name you'll be hearing is Alex
Windsor.”

Storm humorously emphasized the pair’s resilience, quipping,
“If there's anything I know about this clearly non-sexual
friendship, it is you can beat us down, but you can't beat
us off.” Windsor echoed the spirited sentiment, humorously
stumbling into the playful tone herself, “What Toni is
trying to say is that you can't give me any lick without me
giving my lick back. Oh my God, I'm doing it as well.”

The segment concluded with Storm issuing a direct challenge
to her upcoming opponent, Athena, asserting confidently,
“Tonight is your moment, and then it's on to Forbidden Door
where I will reverse my London luck. And Athena, if you want
to whip out your John Hancock and wet the ink, then we can
do this right here tonight in Cleveland, as it says on the
Ohio license plates. Let's tape up your tits and tango.”

After we hear from Storm and Windsor, we see the Death
Riders searching outside the arena, where they find Wheeler
Yuta stuffed into a body bag. Darby Allin drives by, and as
Moxley frees Yuta from the bag, he finds a note from Allin
with a simple message: “Forbidden Door.”

“8 Belts” Mercedes Moné Makes Her Arrival

In a segment from earlier in the day on AEW Dynamite, Renee
Paquette greeted the arriving Mercedes Moné, who made her
first appearance since her notable loss to Toni Storm at All
In: Texas. Moné emerged confidently from a stretch SUV
limousine, prominently displaying all her championship
belts, while casually enjoying a piece of watermelon, which
she nonchalantly tossed aside after just one bite.

Paquette warmly welcomed Moné, exclaiming, “The CEO is here
in Cleveland, eight belts Moné back on Dynamite. Mercedes,
congratulations on adding yet another championship to your
collection.” She then attempted to discuss Moné's previous
encounter, saying, “But Mercedes, let's talk about All In:
Texas. We've not seen you since then. That match between you
and Toni Storm was so incredible. This was deemed the best
women's wrestling match in the history of the sport before
the match even happened. Granted, you didn't walk away with
that victory, but this is a match that we are all going to
remember for—”

Moné sharply interrupted Paquette, curtly dismissing her
enthusiasm with, “Renee, don't be such a mark,” before
confidently walking away, leaving Paquette momentarily
speechless.

Forbidden Door TBS Championship 4-Way Qualifier: Alex
Windsor def. Queen Aminata, Billie Starkz and Skye Blue

Up next, Queen Aminata, Billie Starkz, Skye Blue, and Alex
Windsor clashed in a high-stakes Forbidden Door TBS Title 4-
Way Qualifier match. The action immediately intensified,
with Aminata showcasing her powerful reach advantage, as
commentator Excalibur noted her as "one of the hardest
hitters in the AEW Women's Division."

The match quickly broke down into rapid exchanges and tandem
offense, with Skye Blue executing a precise neckbreaker on
Windsor on the apron, only for Windsor to retaliate with a
cannonball senton off the apron, wiping out Skye. Billie
Starkz surprised everyone by landing a dramatic Senton
Atomico onto the competitors outside.

Back in the ring, Windsor nailed a Blue Thunder Bomb, nearly
securing a pinfall before Starkz broke it up. Windsor then
applied a Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring, only to
have Aminata disrupt it with targeted kicks. The match
escalated further as all four competitors exchanged strikes,
headbutts, and dynamic moves, leaving them momentarily
downed.

In a pivotal moment, Skye Blue delivered a breathtaking
Avalanche Sunset Flip Powerbomb on Windsor, nearly clinching
victory. Aminata responded aggressively, executing an
Emerald Flowsion on Skye through a chair at ringside. Inside
the ring, after a chaotic sequence and interference from
Athena, Alex Windsor swiftly countered Billie Starkz's
attack, securing the victory with a clever inside cradle.

Post-match, Mercedes Moné made an appearance, confronting
Windsor as Toni Storm watched closely. However, Athena
blindsided Storm with a devastating O-Face, and Moné
delivered a Lungblower to Windsor. Moné and Athena then
faced off, sharing a tense stare-down as AEW Dynamite headed
to break.

The Young Bucks Want Respect From Production

Earlier in the day on AEW Dynamite, Renee Paquette caught up
with the Young Bucks backstage, ahead of their semifinal
match in the AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament
against the dynamic team Brodido.

Paquette initiated the interview, noting the impressive
recent performances of Brodido, which immediately irked Nick
Jackson, who responded, “Are you kidding me, the disrespect,
Renee, we're still founding fathers around here. Show us
some.” Matt Jackson then abruptly redirected their
frustration toward a production crew member, confronting him
directly:

“Hey, production guy. Yeah, yeah, you. Hey, film this. Well,
while we've got you, I'd like to bend your ear. How about
you and your team treat us with a little bit more respect?
The last couple of weeks you've dropped us out. You give us
the worst entrances ever. And hey, if you don't, heads will
roll. We want the LED, we want the freaking pyro. We want
everything. No disrespect. Hey, give us that note and you
tell Justin Roberts this, this is how you introduce a couple
of stars. Word for word, verbatim. Go. Get your ass back
there. People are so fickle around here.”

Closing the segment, Renee sarcastically wished them well,
remarking, “Best of luck to our ex-EVPs tonight as they take
on the new hot tag team, Brodido.”

Don Callis Gifts Kyle Fletcher Some “Art”

Renee Paquette introduced the newly crowned TNT Champion
Kyle Fletcher, accompanied by the Don Callis Family’s Don
Callis, Josh Alexander, Hechicero, and Lance Archer.

Paquette began to address Fletcher's brutal victory over
Dustin Rhodes, but Callis quickly interjected, emphasizing
the family's ambition: “The real question you should be
asking is the question on everybody's lips. Why am I
building the largest numerical faction in the history of pro
wrestling? Very simple: power. And when you want power in
this business, cast your eyes on the gold. 'Cause when
you've got the gold, you control destiny.”

Callis highlighted the success of his faction, pointing out
their accumulation of championships, then praised Fletcher
directly: “Kyle, I think you may have retired a legend in
winning that belt.” Fletcher then spoke confidently about
his violent triumph, asserting, “Dustin Rhodes got exactly
what he deserved for stealing my moment at All In. Dustin
may have had a storied career, but a 60-year-old man does
not deserve to be in the same ring as the Protostar.” He
continued, boasting about sidelining Adam Cole, saying, “Who
knows if we're ever gonna see Adam Cole again? And that's
all thanks to me.”

Fletcher declared his ambitious goal, promising, “Every man
that tries to take this from me will suffer the same fate
because I will be the greatest TNT Champion of all time on
my way to becoming the greatest of all time.”

The segment took an interesting turn when Callis unveiled an
oil painting he claimed to have created personally,
depicting Fletcher nude, strategically covered only by the
TNT Championship, alongside a provocatively dressed Callis
himself. Fletcher, clearly delighted, exclaimed, “It may be
the greatest gift I have ever received!”

Fletcher concluded the celebration by declaring his intent
to be a fighting champion: “My very first defense of this
championship will be this Saturday on Collision because I
will be the greatest champion you have ever seen. It does
not matter who shows up because the result will be the same—
I will have my hand raised and you better get used to this
image because I will be the TNT Champion for a very, very,
very, very long time.”

Adam Copeland Has an Idea: Fight Stokely

In a backstage interview segment on AEW Dynamite, Alicia
Atout spoke with Adam Copeland, addressing the events
involving Christian Cage's recent controversial apology and
subsequent attack by Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne.

Reflecting on Cage's actions, Copeland expressed uncertainty
and frustration, stating, “I don't know what my take is. The
guy came out there with, like you said, zero remorse. His
apology, it wasn't an apology. He's learned nothing and has
no concept of what he's been the last few years, and that's
an asshole.”

Turning his attention to his own current conflicts, Copeland
continued, “Here's what I do know: he's got his hands full
with Kip, Nick, and Shayna, which brings me to who I have my
hands full with, and that's FTR and Stokely Hathaway.”

Highlighting a critical legal barrier, Copeland explained,
“I know I can't get within 200 feet of you guys, but that
also means you can't get within 200 feet of me, and that
works out pretty good because I got off the phone with Tony
Khan. Next week for the first time ever, one-on-one, it's
the Rated-R Superstar versus Stokely.”

Adding an intriguing stipulation, Copeland issued a clear
ultimatum: “If FTR, if you guys interfere, your whole
restraining order is null and void. So you have a choice—do
you interfere and open up the door to me kicking your asses?
Or do you stand there and throw Stokely to the wolf? And
trust me, I will tear him apart slowly, piece by piece. The
choice is yours. See you next week.”

AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinal:
Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) def. The Young Bucks

In a thrilling AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator
Tournament match on Dynamite, Brodido took on The Young
Bucks, who faced several humorous mishaps during their
entrance. The Bucks' planned entrance was marred by the
entrance screen malfunctioning, forcing them to awkwardly
crawl beneath it. Further complications arose when ring
announcer Justin Roberts read a sarcastic note from the
Bucks verbatim, and their pyro consisted of a single audible
explosion followed by one lone bottle rocket, all set
amusingly to ice cream truck music.

Once the action commenced, Brody King quickly asserted
dominance with his imposing physicality, knocking the Bucks
to the floor. Bandido capitalized, executing a top rope
moonsault assisted by King, wiping out both opponents at
ringside.

The match saw intense back-and-forth action after the
commercial break, highlighted by Nick Jackson’s enzuigiri
and a well-executed Risky Business attempt on Brody King,
which King impressively kicked out of. Bandido displayed
remarkable resilience with a military press, but was
countered by Matt Jackson's slingshot X-Factor. Matt
continued the offense with a Senton Atomico, but King
intervened just in time to break up the pin.

Both teams displayed outstanding teamwork, with the Bucks
delivering multiple Superkicks and a TK Driver, only for
King to narrowly break up the pin. Brody King retaliated
forcefully with a brutal Death Valley Driver on the apron,
followed by a chaotic exchange at ringside.

The match concluded dramatically when Bandido followed up a
21-Plex and a near-fall by executing the devastating
assisted flip that has become Brodido's calling card as a
finishing maneuver, allowing King and Bandido to secure the
victory. This triumphant win advanced Brodido to the
tournament finals, setting up an exciting showdown with FTR.

We’re treated to a package recapping the escalating
animosity between MJF and Mark Briscoe, as well as MJF
claiming the CMLL Junior Heavyweight Championship, before
their grudge match main event later tonight.

MVP Kicks MJF Out of the Hurt Syndicate, Gives a Warning

In a backstage segment on AEW Dynamite, Renee Paquette
interviewed The Hurt Syndicate about the ongoing Eliminator
Tournament, with MVP sharing respectful remarks about
potential opponents Brodido, saying, “They're magnificent
and I'd like to extend to them a huge congratulations. And
furthermore, I'd like to give best wishes to the final two
teams to meet up for an opportunity to meet up with the Hurt
Syndicate. Whoever we face at Forbidden Door, we will be all
too happy to hurt them.”

The interview took an intense turn when MJF interrupted,
addressing MVP directly, "Montel, look, with all due
respect, you have known me since I was 18 years old. We
don't need Bob, we don't need Shelton. We just need each
other. And together we can win that world championship.”

MVP swiftly countered MJF's statement, expressing
frustration with his attitude, “Max, man, you don't get it,
man. You don't get it. Now you're talking about we. I told
you if you join the Syndicate, we hurt people. And since you
joined us, all you've been talking about is me, me, me. My
ego is more than anybody can stand and that's coming from
me. So it is what it is, brother.” MVP concluded with a
final warning and subtle threat, “It is my last act of
kindness to you because I do love you like a little brother.
We will leave you in one healthy piece so that you can
pursue your big, beautiful belt.”

MJF acknowledged the situation pragmatically, saying, “It's
not personal, it's just business,” to which MVP responded
ominously, “See, that's where you're wrong, Max. I do love
you like a little brother, and I hope you fail in your
endeavor because if you succeed, Bobby Lashley is coming for
you, and it won't be business; it will be very personal.”

FTR and Big Stoke Respond to Adam Copeland

Backstage, Alicia Atout spoke with FTR and Big Stoke. Dax
Harwood began by expressing frustration, stating, “As if we
didn't have enough stress with the tag team tournament
finals next week. Now we have you, Adam. Adam, we see right
through you. We know exactly what you're doing and just
remember we got this ban for your health and your wellbeing.
We want Lyric and Ruby to grow up with a father. We want
Beth to live life with a loving husband. Please, Adam, don't
make us do this to you.”

Cash Wheeler added to the intensity, emphasizing their
understanding of Copeland, “Yeah, Adam, we see through you.
We know you better than anybody. We know your games. We even
told Big Stoke he didn't have to be in Cincinnati next week,
but he insists. Do you know why? Because he's the bigger
man. Because he's the braver man. But when he's done with
you, Adam, we can't be held responsible for what Big Stoke
does.”

Big Stoke then stepped up to address Copeland directly,
highlighting personal challenges with humor and resolve, "I
can't believe at your big age you have chosen to do this. I
mean, look at me. I'm not a professional wrestler. I
represent the greatest tag team alive today, FTR. I'm also
injured, so we see through you, Adam, you're a bully. And if
you think I haven't been in a fight before, you're wrong,
Adam. I'm short, I'm bald. I can't get any hoes. I've been
fighting my entire life."

He concluded the segment with determination, delivering a
pointed message to Copeland, “Next week, the fight continues
in Cincinnati, Ohio, and I'm gonna do it because that's what
my boss asked me to do, and I'm gonna do it with a smile on
my face. And I'm gonna have an even bigger smile on my face
when you have to go home Wednesday night and look at your
wife who has the head of a micro brawler and your future
juvenile delinquent kids and tell them that Big Stoke pinned
you in the ring, just like that. Top guys out.”

We’re treated to another package recapping the recent
tension between Swerve Strickland and AEW Unified Champion
Kazuchika Okada, with the two set to square off for the
title at Forbidden Door.

Swerve Strickland Is Ready to Defeat the Legendary Okada

Renee Paquette conducted an interview on the entrance ramp
with Swerve Strickland, accompanied by Prince Nana,
addressing his upcoming match against Kazuchika Okada for
the AEW Unified Championship at Forbidden Door.

When asked about concerns regarding Don Callis potentially
interfering, Swerve confidently dismissed them, stating,
“Quite frankly, I don't have much to be concerned with Don
Callis because he's not even gonna get to be ringside for
this, being the Unified Championship rules and all. Matter
of fact, the last time that Don Callis was ringside for one
of my championship matches, me and my man Prince Nana here
put him on his ass, and I walked away still AEW World
Champion.”

Swerve acknowledged Okada’s prowess respectfully but
positioned himself uniquely, asserting, “They say you're a
generational wrestler that comes around once every thousand
years, while I'm something that's never been seen before.
There's never been a Swerve Strickland. After I'm done,
there will never be another one afterwards.”

Highlighting previous encounters with Okada, he stated
emphatically, “He stared me in my eye, and I saw nothing. If
anything, he looked in my eye and he saw death. I put the
fear of God into that man.”

Concluding with intensity, Swerve declared his intention,
“I'm gonna continue my legacy by defeating the real, the
literal Japanese legend. I will stand in the middle of that
ring, in the middle of the O2 Arena, over the defeated body
that is Kazuchika Okada. And while Don Callis cries in the
corner like the little bitch that he is, I'll have my arm
raised with the Unified Championship in my hand, and
everybody in London, England will scream and chant my name.
Whose house?”

Hangman Adam Page Lends His Support to Mark Briscoe

In a poignant backstage segment on AEW Dynamite, Alicia
Atout interviewed Mark Briscoe ahead of his highly
anticipated grudge match against MJF. Briscoe conveyed a
stern determination, stating, “The time for words is behind
us. Tonight I'm gonna do my talking with these. MJF, the Day
of Atonement is here and tonight you will pay for your sins,
son.”

Adding depth and history to the moment, "Hangman" Adam Page
appeared, addressing Briscoe warmly: “Mark, I've known you
13, 14 years now, PWX, Ring of Honor, New Japan, and here.
And I always looked up to and admired the Briscoes, but the
person that you have had to be, the person that you've
decided to be every day for these past few years, I might
admire that even more.” Page expressed his sincere support
for Briscoe's title aspirations, concluding, “So if you win
tonight, and I know as good as anyone else that you can, I
hope Alicia's right. I hope you are the next one to
challenge for the World Championship. So tonight, good
luck.”

Kris Statlander Interrupts Willow Nightingale and Queen
Aminata

Renee Paquette interviewed Queen Aminata following her
unsuccessful bid to challenge Mercedes Moné for the TBS
Championship in the 4-Way at Forbidden Door. Aminata
expressed her resolve despite the setback, stating,
“Honestly, last time I faced Juicy Moné, I knew I could beat
her.”
Willow Nightingale joined the interview, offering her
support and encouragement to Aminata, saying, “Baby Am, so
sorry, I know things did not go your way tonight, but I
think you did so great. We're gonna take care of Skye and
we're also gonna take care of Julia and Tekla Saturday on
Collision. It's gonna be Triangle Madness. You, me, it's our
time.”

Kris Statlander then entered, sarcastically embracing the
camaraderie, declaring, “Just women supporting women. This
is amazing. Willow, you showed up for me last week and now
here I am showing up for you and you and you, and in honor
of womanhood, speech, speech, speech!”
Willow responded assertively, clarifying her intentions and
goals: “Do you know what's for real? You say that you've
been moving on, you've focused on yourself, but you've done
anything but that. I'm here to do three things: smile, win
matches, and straighten out anyone who gets in the way of
that. So when you're ready to take that seriously, when
you're ready to do that, then you can talk to me.”
The segment concluded with Statlander throwing confetti-like
material at Willow and running off.

Grudge Match Main Event: MJF def. Mark Briscoe

In an intense AEW Dynamite main event grudge match, Mark
Briscoe faced off against MJF. The match immediately
intensified, with Briscoe aggressively landing early jabs
and underhooks, countered by MJF with a bite to Briscoe's
forehead. MJF attempted multiple evasions, once even
retreating through the crowd, but Briscoe persisted, landing
heavy blows and utilizing the environment, notably executing
a step-up blockbuster off a chair.

After a commercial break, MJF maintained control using
underhanded tactics, including biting, eye rakes, and
choking. Briscoe rallied back impressively with significant
moves including a corkscrew elbow, Stinger splash, belly-to-
belly suplex, and a Nestea plunge to the outside. Despite
his injured ribs, Briscoe finally connected with his Froggy
Bow, but MJF barely managed to kick out.

In a climactic sequence, Briscoe attempted another Froggy
Bow through a table outside the ring. However, MJF evaded at
the last second, sending Briscoe crashing through the table.
Exploiting this opportunity, Friedman executed his signature
Heatseeker. Despite Briscoe placing his foot on the ropes,
the referee missed it, resulting in MJF controversially
winning the match by pinfall.

Post-match, MJF continued his assault, delivering a loaded
punch using his Dynamite Diamond Ring. "Hangman" Adam Page
intervened, engaging in a heated brawl with MJF, with
security struggling to separate the two. The chaotic scene
concluded with MJF retreating as Page checked on the
bloodied and battered Briscoe, marking a dramatic close to
the evening.
