CROWN JEWEL PERTH: John Cena and AJ Styles pay homage to past opponents in fantastic match at Crown Jewel

John Cena and AJ Styles put on a classic at Crown Jewel and
both paid tribute to many Superstars who they crossed paths
with over the years.

Cena has been doing these tribute finishers to pay homage to
those who he cannot wrestle again and in this match he did a
total of six which drove the crowd crazy a couple of times.

Cena first hit the Skull Crushing Finale in honor of The Miz
and then did the Accolade by Rusev, which sparked a Rusev
Day chant. He then did the Walls of Jericho to a big pop
from the crowd and Y2J chants before hitting a picture-
perfect Sister Abigail. The crowd inside the RAC Arena
quickly turned on their flashlights on their cell phones and
created a beautiful firefly tribute to Bray Wyatt.

But Cena was not finished, he hit a middle rope DDT and then
an RKO from Randy Orton and fans then started chanting for a
619. Wade Barrett chuckled and said he’d love to see it but
doubts it’s physically possible for Cena to pull off. Cena,
feeding off the crowd, did tease it but was cut off by AJ
Styles, who received the only boos in the match.

Cena had one final tribute, first a chokeslam and then a
Tombstone Piledriver from The Undertaker before he pinned AJ
with the AA.

Styles also did moves in honor of his opponents, including
the Coquina Clutch from Samoa Joe, Angel Wings from
Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian’s Fade To Black
piledriver, and the Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels.

AJ confirmed yesterday that 2026 will be his final year as
an in-ring competitor.
