ALL ELITE WRESTLING COLLISION/TNT/HBO MAX: September 27 report

Posted on 9/28/125 by Bob Magee

AEW Collision was live from Huntington, West Virginia on TNT
and HBO Max for an unpredictable Saturday night with plenty
of fighting and action packed into two hours!

The night got off to an inauspicious start as “The
Protostar” Kyle Fletcher attacked Hologram while another
Clon warning was sent. Fletcher later defeated Komander to
retain his TNT Championship, and he now has a new challenger
for the title next week on the 6th Anniversary of AEW
Dynamite, Orange Cassidy!

The Death Riders went 2-0, as they were victorious in trios
and mixed tag team action. The Outrunners and Dalton Castle
combined powers for their first win as a team. Eddie
Kingston and HOOK earned a hard-fought victory over Big Bill
and Bryan Keith. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens won a match …
as a team?! And Jamie Hayter was victorious in the main
event, but she wants BLOOD AND GUTS!

Here's everything that happened on AEW Collision for
September 27, 2025, including your full results and match
recaps.

Kyle Fletcher Attacks Hologram

After hearing from both Daniel Garcia and Daddy Magic ahead
of their trios tag match, as well as Jamie Hayter and Julia
Hart in preparation for their singles bout, Komander was
with Hologram and Alex Abrahantes to address his opponent
tonight, TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher,
promising to win the championship and face his partner,
Hologram, at the 6th Anniversary of AEW Dynamite.

Suddenly, a monitor behind them and then the entire screen
flashed the familiar code saying, “CORRUPTION DETECTED …
CL0N activated … soon” only to reveal that Fletcher was
attacking Hologram.

Trios Match: Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia & Claudio Castagnoli
of the Death Riders def. Daddy Magic, Kyle O’Reilly &
Roderick Strong

Moxley seemed in quite the mood as he made his way to the
ring along with the Death Riders, even stopping to give the
camera a kiss, as we learned that his I Quit Match vs Darby
Allin at AEW WrestleDream was made official!

Kyle O’Reilly and Daniel Garcia started things off for their
respective sides. O’Reilly was a step ahead of Garcia on
almost every movement and quickly took control with a kick
to the chest. Daddy Magic wanted the tag and got it, and
Garcia responded by tagging out to Castagnoli. Magic came at
Castagnoli with plenty of pent-up energy and anger, and
Castagnoli used that against him to power Magic down. Moxley
entered the match and initially took his time with Magic in
the corner with some chops, but Magic fired back with a
couple of his own until Moxley put him down yet again.
Castagnoli came back in for a brief time until Garcia called
for the tag on a clearly battered Daddy Magic.

Magic found some new life when he realized he finally had
Garcia and charged him into the corner to get a couple shots
in before Garcia found some separation, allowing O’Reilly to
get back in the match. Paragon went into some tandem offense
with a flying O’Reilly knee across Garcia’s chest as Strong
held him down in the ring. Magic got back in for another
chance at Garcia, but Castagnoli grabbed his partner and
brought him to the outside. However, Strong chased after
them with a double boot through the ropes followed by
O’Reilly hitting a knee to Moxley from the apron.

Back in the ring, Magic mounted Garcia in the corner and
delivered 10 punches with some help from the Huntington
crowd in the counting process. O’Reilly hit a running kick
to Garcia on the outside only to turn right into a running
uppercut from Castagnoli. O’Reilly remained contained to the
Death Riders’ corner for the next few minutes with no way of
tagging out to Strong or Magic. Moxley even mocked them by
reaching O’Reilly’s limp hand out only to pull it away.
O’Reilly battled his way back to his corner, but Castagnoli
wiped out Magic and O’Reilly was sent the wrong direction.

O’Reilly answered everything Garcia threw at him with
forearms, a guillotine, and a suplex. Finally, Strong tagged
in and went on a tour of the outside, destroying every Death
Rider in his path. He returned to the ring to drop Moxley
with a clotheslines, a leg lariat, and a Fireman’s Carry
Slam. Paragon teamed up to take out Castagnoli, but when
O’Reilly launched himself over the top, he landed right on a
Castagnoli uppercut.

Strong and Moxley continued to fight it out in the ring, and
a Sick Kick by Strong nearly won it! A slight distraction
from Garcia took Strong’s eye off the ball for just long
enough to get caught in a Castagnoli swing into a Moxley
kick, but Strong kicked out at two. Moxley jumped on him
with a choke, but O’Reilly broke it up with a knee and then
fought off another swing attempt to DDT Castagnoli!

Strong fought through Moxley and Garcia to make a tag to
Daddy Magic, who finally got a clear ring to go one-on-one
with Garcia. He unloaded with punches in the corner and went
for a piledriver, but Garcia escaped and immediately tagged
Moxley. Magic got tripped up by Moxley and turned back into
a stomp from the former AEW World Champion. That was enough,
but Garcia tagged back in and hit a stomp of his own to
Daddy Magic for the three count and win for the Death
Riders.

Brody King Has Big News for the Don Callis Family

Brody King told the Don Callis Family that they made a lot
of enemies … and a lot of mistakes. He tells them that
sometimes ghosts come back to settle the score – because
this Wednesday at the 6th Anniversary of AEW Dynamite, it’ll
be the Young Bucks and Josh Alexander taking on Brodido and
“one of the men who built this company, Kenny Omega!”

Mixed Tag Team Match: Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir of the
Death Riders def. Rosario Grillo & Rachel Ellering

Before Yuta and Shafir face Darby Allin and AEW Women’s
World Champion Kris Statlander on the 6th Anniversary of AEW
Dynamite in a Mixed Tornado Tag Team Match, they took on a
similar match on Collision.

Yuta started things off with Grillo and completely decimated
him, nearly ending the match with unrelenting downward elbow
strikes before bringing Grillo to his corner to force a tag
to Ellering. Shafir gave Ellering a few free shots, only to
shake them off and yell at Ellering to “do better!” Shafir
stopped toying with her food and threw Ellering around the
ring before locking in Mother’s Milk for the victory.

Yuta grabbed the microphone to yell at Statlander about how
she betrayed the people that cared about her the most, just
like she always does, even though it was Yuta who led her to
the AEW Women’s World Championship. He said they’ll make her
pay for making the wrong choice.

Then, Yuta turned his attention to Darby Allin. He called
him a “slimy freak” who escalated things so far that the
Death Riders will have to put him next to all the dead
bodies he saw on Mount Everest.

Hangman Page, Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs Are United

Hangman said he owes Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs for how
they helped him in his journey back to the AEW World
Championship, so he’ll step in for the injured Katsuyori
Shibata while he’s down. He said the Death Riders still
haven’t learned.

Samoa Joe agreed and said with it being so early in the
school year, he already felt like a failure as a teacher.
Hangman quietly disagreed with that notion. Joe insisted and
said even though they know how to get the Death Riders where
they want them, they still haven’t learned, so they will
keep attacking the problem.

“You see, I hired new faculty. I have a new equestrian coach
who’s gonna run you down in that field and beat your ass. I
got me a new P.E. instructor, who’s gonna run you down in
the open field and crush you. And more importantly, boys, I
have a whole new curriculum of pain that I will introduce to
you.”

Joe promised there would be lessons that the Death Riders
would learn for life. Next week on Dynamite, it will be AEW
World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and two-thirds of the AEW
World Trios Champions, Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs, vs.
Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia and Claudio Castagnoli of the
Death Riders!

Max Caster & Anthony Bowens def. The Swirl (Blake Christian
and Lee Johnson)

Caster and Bowens made separate entrances, with Bowens
showing off his World Record plaque only to be interrupted
by Caster and his Best Wrestler Alive™ trademark. Caster and
Bowens couldn’t decide who would start the match, with each
forcing their way in until Caster tripped Bowens from the
outside. As they began to argue, Caster turned right into a
Christian dive with no warning from Bowens. Christian
taunted Bowens, who dove right back in the ring into a
Johnson clothesline.

Christian came back in for some quick, tandem offense, but
Bowens was able to turn things around with a suplex only to
find no Caster in the corner for a tag. Bowens sat up on the
top rope, but then Caster was ready and tagged in to set up
Scissor Me Timbers! Bowens refused, allowing Johnson to
throw Caster into Bowens, knocking him to the floor. That
allowed The Swirl to take control by keeping Bowens away
from his corner.

Bowens showed a brief sign of life, getting the crowd on his
side to clap along with him, but he still couldn’t overcome
the numbers game. After battling through both Christian and
Johnson, Caster wouldn’t make the tag to Bowens, who seemed
genuine in his enthusiasm to help his old/new/current
partner. The frustration got to Bowens, so he left up the
aisle, only to have AEW Coach Jerry Lynn send him back to
the ring.

Bowens made the tag to Caster but took his time to browbeat
him before going to work on The Swirl. After Johnson broke
up a pin attempt, he and Christian seemed to take back
control with Caster laid out on the outside. Johnson hit a
delayed vertical brainbuster aided by a Christian kick to
the head of Bowens, but Caster got in the ring to break it
up just at the nick of time!

Now it was Bowens who was able to rally the crowd and fight
back into the match, but Caster tagged in, and the
miscommunication issues continued, nearly resulting in
Johnson pinning Caster on multiple occasions. Finally,
Caster pushed Johnson into the ropes where Bowens blasted
him with a Mollywhop. That allowed Caster to roll up Johnson
for the win! That was Caster’s first win of any kind in more
than 10 months!

Lynn got in the ring to raise the hands of Caster and
Bowens, although both wanted credit for the victory and
continued to argue before leaving in separate directions.

Nick Wayne Is Coming for Christian Cage

As Kip Sabian complained to Nick Wayne and Mother Wayne
about Luchasaurus, Nick said he doesn’t care about “the
dinosaur” leaving because his focus is all on Christian
Cage. He promised to be Cage’s biggest nightmare.

“I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. I am always one
step ahead of you.”

TayJay Want the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles

We went back to this week’s Dynamite to revisit the historic
announcement from AEW CEO, President and Founder Tony Khan
about the introduction of AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles
later this year and the reveal of the championship belts by
Renee Paquette.

Backstage, Lexy Nair caught up with Anna Jay and Tay Melo to
get their thoughts on the new titles. Anna Jay and Tay Melo
went through their history over their last five years and
everything they battled through to get those titles. They
promised to be the first AEW Women’s World Tag Team
Champions.

Trios Match: Dalton Castle & The Outrunners (Truth Magnum
and Turbo Floyd) def. KM, Corey Sparks & Cowpoke Paul

Complete with three new boys and quite the complex entrance
with Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum, Dalton Castle was back in
the ring for the first time since July 2024!

It didn’t take long for the Outrunners to dispatch of Sparks
and Paul before tagging in Castle. He picked up and threw
the much bigger KM, before Floyd and Magnum came together to
hit the Double Elbow Drop. Castle picked KM back up for a
Bangarang to complete a successful return with the victory!

Mark Briscoe and MJF are Heading in Different Directions

After Mark Briscoe defeated MJF at AEW All Out in the Tables
N’ Tacks Match, he said he can get back to having fun, as
his crew is coming back together. Meanwhile, MJF admitted
he’s made mistakes and won’t come back until he’s ready to
do it his way.

TNT Championship Open Challenge: “The Protostar” Kyle
Fletcher (c) def. Komander

Fletcher confidently toyed with Komander in the opening
minutes, although that overconfidence nearly cost him, as
Komander fought on the outside. Fletcher reversed a
hurricanrana attempt into a pair of brutal powerbombs on the
apron. The TNT Champion was in full control, as he took his
time to slow down the pace against the quicker Komander.

Komander started to mount a comeback, as Tony Schiavone came
in with breaking news that Hologram was severely injured
earlier in the night, so he will not be able to fight the
winner of this match for the TNT Championship at Dynamite.

Fletcher put an end to Komander’s comeback with a half and
half suplex right on Komander’s head. They moved to the
apron where Fletcher nearly hit tombstone, but Komander was
able to get out of it, crack Fletcher with a kick to the
face, and somehow send Fletcher to the ground with a
hurricanrana.

It took too long for Komander to capitalize, and he walked
right into a Michinoku Driver, but Fletcher only managed a
two count. He lined up Komander for the high velocity kick
in the corner but missed and fell to the outside. Komander
stayed on Fletcher with a picturesque springboard moonsault.
Sensing all the momentum on his side, Komander sent Fletcher
back in and ascended to the top rope. Fletcher was ready and
rolled to the opposite side of the ring, although that
didn’t stop Komander from running the ropes. Fletcher dove
back in and Komander somehow changed directions to hit a
destroyer! He followed with a 450 splash from the top, but
Fletcher just barely managed to kick out in time.

Komander tried to springboard off the ropes again, although
Fletcher was once again ready with a pair of big boots. At
this point, Fletcher had enough. He connected with the lawn
dart on the third attempt. As Komander staggered up,
Fletcher blasted him with a running kick in the corner and
finished Komander off with a brainbuster in a tough, but
impressive defense of the TNT Championship.

After the match, in the back, Fletcher gloated about his win
over Komander and with Hologram unable to compete for the
TNT Championship, he begged for anyone to step up and face
him for the title on Dynamite.

That brought us some breaking news! With his Conglomeration
partner Hologram down, Orange Cassidy has stepped up to take
on Fletcher for the TNT Championship on the AEW Dynamite
6th Anniversary!

Tornado Tag Team Match: Eddie Kingston & HOOK def. Big Bill
and Bryan Keith

With Big Bill and Bryan Keith waiting for them in the ring,
Eddie Kingston and HOOK made their entrance a short one, as
Kingston walked out with a mic in his hand. Kingston said he
had respect for Bill until he decided to attack him after
the match, but before he could say anything more, HOOK said
he talked to Tony Khan, and this is a tornado tag team match
right now!

Bill and Kingston resumed their hostilities from All Out as
the bell rang with Kingston getting the better before they
both went to the outside. HOOK had Keith in trouble in the
corner while Bill sent Kingston into the steel steps. Back
in the ring, HOOK walked into a huge boot from Bill as Keith
took out Kingston with a cannonball from the apron.

Hook was isolated by Bill and Bryan in the ring and Kingston
kept trying to fight his way in, which he finally did by
catching Bill on the top rope. Kingston hit machine gun
chops in the corner and was finding a second wind until Bill
cut him off. HOOK and Kingston recovered to hit a double
suplex, but Bill kicked out on a pin attempt by both men.

As Kingston dealt with Keith, Bill recovered enough to drop
Eddie with a boot and clothesline, but it wasn’t enough to
keep Kingston down for the count. Kingston fought back up
and sent Bill to the outside with a dragon screw. Keith had
no help in the ring, succumbing to a spinning back fist from
Kingston and the REDRUM by HOOK to get the first win for
this new partnership.

The Bang Bang Gang Introduce a New Member

Lexy Nair was with Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson, as she
reminded them of their loss in the All Out AEW World Tag
Team Title Ladder Match last weekend. Gunn said they weren’t
disappointed, but he talked to Jay White after the match,
and he agreed they needed reinforcements. Robinson said they
needed someone they could trust and maybe someone from their
past.

“You could say this was…

And Ace Austin showed up to finish the sentence…

“...inevitable.”

Robinson introduced Austin Gunn to Ace Austin. Austin
reassured Gunn, “It’s not a game of chance when you make
your own luck.”

Jamie Hayter def. Julia Hart of Triangle of Madness

In the rubber match of a series that started on the first
day of 2025, it was time for our main event!

Hayter outpowered Hart with ease, throwing her all over the
ring, until Blue saved Hart from further punishment by
pulling her from the ring. When Hayter chased them out, Blue
hit her with a superkick behind the referee’s back. Hart
nearly turned that into a victory, and while Hayter kicked
out, the damage was done.

The former TBS Champion was aware of the advantage she just
earned and made sure to stay on Hayter. She hit her
tightrope walk and strike and quickly followed with a
clothesline to keep Hayter down. With Hayter tripped up on
the outside, Blue tried to get another cheap shot, but
Hayter turned that into a suplex on the floor!

That set something off in her, as Hayter exploded back onto
Hart with 10 shots to the turnbuckle followed by a belly-to-
back suplex that earned a two count. Hayter continued to
beat on Hart, although she nearly got caught with a crucifix
pin. Hart trapped Hayter in a Tarantula, taking a page out
of Theka’s playbook.

When Hart tried to come back in the ring, Hayter was ready
with a backbreaker and followed up with another! Hayter
called for a clothesline, and Hart was ready for it. She
took down Hayter and hit her picture perfect moonsault. Hart
trapped Hayter in an octopus, but Hayter reversed it into a
tombstone. Hart somehow kicked out, so Hayter followed with
Hayterade for the win in the rubber match!

Blue attacked Hayter after the match, and Hart recovered to
join in the beating. Queen Aminata ran out with a belt for
the save, as Thekla joined Hart and Blue on the outside.
Hayter grabbed the microphone and said the only way to
settle this was three simple words…

“BLOOD AND GUTS!”

That will do it from West Virginia!
