IWR Aftermath took place on September 11th at the Monroe
F.O.P. Hall in front of another sold-out crowd. The VIP
action kicked off with three VIP matches featuring:
The Saint Brothers, who faced off against Coach Dutch and
Bruss Hamilton of the Buckeye Brutes. The Saint Brothers put
in an impressive effort, but ultimately came up short, with
the Buckeye Brutes securing the victory.
The next contest featured “Rodrageous” Rod Lee going against
his former friend and tag team partner “The Canadian” Kenny
Urban, with Avery Hughes in his corner. Kenny seemed to have
the upper hand in this match, defeating Rod Lee.
The VIP main event saw “The Firestarter” Jake Crist,
accompanied by Dean Hendricks, challenge IWR United States
Champion Adam Wick for his title. This high-energy matchup
between two hungry competitors was a nail-biter. In the end,
Dean Hendricks played a crucial role by pushing Adam Wick off
the top rope, resulting in referee George Ross disqualifying
Jake Crist and awarding the match to the reigning champion,
Adam Wick.
IWR Aftermath kicked off with excitement as IWR commentators
Bryan Spencer and CK3 welcomed the live audience and viewers
watching at home on Triller TV. They were interrupted by
Buckeye Sam and the Buckeye Brutes. Buckeye Sam announced
that he had suffered a serious ankle injury and could not
compete that night. He expressed his feelings toward the fans
of Monroe, Michigan, which led to the appearance of former
WWE Superstar The Real 1 Enzo, who confronted the team from
Columbus. After a brief verbal exchange, The Real 1
challenged any member of the Buckeye Brutes to a match. Up-
and-coming star Connor Knox accepted the challenge, Connor
put a decent effort but in the end, The Real 1 emerged
victorious over the young Connor Knox.
Next, we had the Sean Evans Birthday Open Challenge. Sean
Evans issued an open challenge to anyone willing to accept
it, and he likely regretted it as the challenger was the
returning Jake Something. Evan put up a good fight, but in
the end, Jake Something claimed victory.
The following match was for the Old-Time Women’s Athletic
Championship, where Champion Kitty LaFleur successfully
retained her title against Shelly Benson and the up-and-comer
Leela Hall in a triple threat matchup.
Our next matchup featured the Eh Team Special Forces, with
John “Eh” Bravo and Avery Hughes, who fell short against “The
Perminator” Sam Beale and his partner, former WWE superstar
and current TNA star “The Most Professional Wrestler” Brian
Myers. This was a back-and-forth contest, with both teams
gaining advantages throughout the match. Ultimately, Sam
Beale and Brian Myers emerged victorious.
The next match saw Cody Reinhart take on “The Black Diamond”
Jack F’n Price. This match was dominated by Jack Price, who
set out to make an example of the young competitor. Price
attacked Cody before the bell rang, leaving Reinhart unable
to recover and making quick work of him.
In a match featuring the Monsters of Destruction, members
Papa, Dingo, Beast Man, and Ren Jones went against Rohit Raju
and ECW legends “The Franchise” Shane Douglas and “The Man
Beast” Rhino. The action was so intense it spilled out into
the crowd. Ultimately, it was Beast Man who secured the win
for his team against Rohit Raju using an illegal object
behind the referee's back.
Next, we had the IWR Heavyweight Championship match, with
champion Thom Latimer defending against the 2025 Insane
Rumble winner, Madman Fulton. This was a back-and-forth
battle as fans cheered for both competitors. In the end,
Madman Fulton edged out Thom Latimer to become the new IWR
Heavyweight Champion.
The main event featured Myron Reed and Matt Diesel
challenging for the IWR Tag Team Championships against the
champions, Tye or Die. This match was a fierce contest, with
both teams putting everything on the line. However, Tye or
Die retained their titles with a hard-fought victory over
Matt Diesel.
After the match, Myron Reed shocked IWR fans by attacking his
partner, Matt Diesel. Fortunately, the returning Trey Miguel
came out to save Matt Diesel, confronting his longtime friend
about his actions. Myron offered no explanation and simply
walked away, leaving his long-time friend and tag team
partner bewildered. What has gotten into Myron Reed?
Hopefully, we’ll get some answers on October 23rd at IWR’s
next show, Monsters Ball.
