SUMMERSLAM NEW JERSEY: WWE World Heavyweight title changes hands twice after MITB cash in

The WWE World Heavyweight title changed hands twice at
SummerSlam after Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The
Bank briefcase, keeping his promise of never letting CM Punk
hold the world title in WWE.

Punk won the title first, pinning Gunther following two GTS
finishers. Punk was exhausted and emotional after the match,
holding his first WWE title in over a decade.

But then…”BURN IT DOOOOOWN!”

Seth Rollins walked out on crutches with Paul Heyman by his
side, holding the Money In The Bank briefcase. Rollins
pretended to play mind games with Punk and then turned
around to walk to the back.

But as the camera moved in to follow Rollins, he stopped and
dropped the two crutches to his side. He slowly turned
around, removed his knee brace, grabbed the briefcase from
Heyman, and ran down to the ring for another “heist of the
century” moment.

Punk went on the attack but quickly found himself on the
defensive as Rollins hit him with the briefcase multiple
times. Punk cashed in the briefcase and then hit the stomp
on the new champion and covered him for the one, two, three.

Rollins, who faked his injury since Saturday Night’s Main
Event, then celebrated with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and
Paul Heyman as fireworks went off.
