ALL ELITE WRESTLING DYNAMITE/TBS/MAX: September 10 report

Posted on 9/11/125 by Bob Magee

We were back in Philadelphia for the final week of our
residency with a jam-packed card for AEW Dynamite!

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Josh
Alexander and then made it official with TNT Champion “The
Protostar” Kyle Fletcher for All Out. Riho got one up on TBS
Champion Mercedes Moné in tag action. AEW Women’s World
Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm decided to pay tribute to
2300 Arena legends en route to beating Sky Blue in a Street
Fight, although it was Thekla who had the last laugh. MJF
promised to say “I Do” to Mark Briscoe. Ricochet lied to
Shelton Benjamin to ensure victory. And after the Young
Bucks secured the win and $500K in the main event, Daniel
Garcia did the unthinkable and attacked Darby Allin,
appearing to show allegiance to the Death Riders!

Check out everything that happened on AEW Dynamite for
September 10, 2025, including your full results and match
recaps.

Grudge Match: AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page def.
“The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander of the Don Callis Family

The final Dynamite of our Philadelphia residency
appropriately began with the AEW World Champion “Hangman”
Adam Page making his way to the ring for our opening
contest!

“The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander came out, flanked by Don
Callis, Lance Archer, and Rocky Romero, so Hangman would
need eyes in the back of his head to handle all of
Alexander’s backup.

But what is the best way to start a grudge match? How about
Hangman and Alexander trading punches like a hockey fight
down the road in South Philly, with the 2300 Arena roaring
in approval?

The early aggression by Hangman was praised by the “American
Dragon” Bryan Danielson, who made his full-time debut as
part of the AEW Dynamite commentary team.

Even as Alexander tried to chop and slow down Page, the AEW
World Champion kept his foot on the gas. After sending
Alexander over the top the hard way, Page immediately
followed with a plancha to the outside! Before Page could do
any more damage, Alexander rolled back in the ring and out
of harm’s way.

Alexander ended Page’s early flurry when he ducked a big
boot and dropped Hangman back first on the apron. He wasted
no time delivering a torpedo-like dropkick to a sitting
Page, sending him crashing to the floor. All of a sudden,
Hangman was in major trouble.

In a move that was somewhat out of character, Alexander took
his time gloating to the angry Philadelphia crowd as he sent
Page corner to corner with jumping forearms to the head. The
braggadocious behavior went on a little too long, allowing
Hangman to fire out of the corner!

The AEW World Champion went to work with a pair of
clotheslines and a fallaway slam, bringing the 2300 Arena
alive with “Cowboy Shit!” chants as Page nearly picked up
the win with a Death Valley driver. Alexander blocked a Dead
Eye attempt, but walked into a big boot and still managed to
anticipate the Buckshot Lariat by countering into multiple
German suplexes!

In a wild feat of strength, Alexander held onto the grip and
dragged Page to the apron with another German suplex! He
somehow still held onto the grip and took Hangman down the
aisle, but Hangman flipped out of a final suplex attempt and
somehow managed to overhead throw Alexander into the guard
rail!

On commentary, Danielson exclaimed, “You better check on
your man, Don! He just landed neck first on the CEE-ment!”

Both men were spent and needed every bit of the 10-count to
get back in the ring.

From their knees, the two began trading shots as they worked
back to their feet. Hangman almost picked up the win by
reversing Alexander’s momentum into a Liger Bomb, but it
only registered a two from referee Rick Knox.

Alexander and Page battled dangerously on the top rope with
the Walking Weapon coming out on top with an avalanche
fireman’s carry slam, but Hangman kicked out at two.
Alexander immediately grabbed Page’s ankle and eventually
had to break the hold, but the damage was done.

However, Page managed to create some distance by crawling to
the apron and turned an exchange with Alexander into a Dead
Eye on the hardest part of the ring!

Sensing victory was in his grasp, Hangman hit a corner
moonsault to the outside and threw Alexander back in the
ring to set up the Buckshot Lariat and that’s when Don
Callis had enough.

He threw down his headset to distract the referee while
Archer and Romero both tried to stop Hangman. He may have
been slowed, but he would not be denied, knocking away
Callis’ goons before hitting the Buckshot Lariat on
Alexander for the hard-fought victory in the grudge match to
kick off Dynamite!

Hangman and Kyle Fletcher Come Face-to-Face

An impassioned Hangman took the mic to talk about what it
meant to be AEW World Champion. He said he didn’t become
champion to have MJF change stipulations or for someone to
need Don Callis by their side.

“The most important word in All Elite Wrestling is
Wrestling. And that is what I’m here to do. BECAUSE I AM THE
ALL ELITE WRESTLING MEN’S WORLD CHAMPION!”

That brought out the TNT Champion, “The Protostar” Kyle
Fletcher, with Callis by his side. Fletcher reminded Page of
the challenge he laid out for the AEW World Championship at
All Out this past weekend on AEW Collision. Page said
Fletcher could make the challenge to his face, in the ring.

After consulting with Callis, Fletcher entered the ring
alone.

Page talked about Fletcher’s potential, running down his
amazing attributes, but there’s one thing he sees above all
else. “I see myself, six years ago, standing across the ring
from Chris Jericho, dreaming and hoping to be World
Champion. That’s what I see in you Kyle. Potential.”

But Page said based on Fletcher’s actions last week, when he
attacked Page and sidelined Kenny Omega, that Fletcher isn’t
ready.

“YOU’RE NOT READY!” echoed throughout the 2300 Arena

Fletcher said he’s heard it all before, and he’s ready.

“I’m 26 years old. I’ve not reached my prime yet. But I
decide when my prime is, and my prime is right now and will
continue as long as I damn well please!”

Then, Hangman decided to level with Fletcher. He told him if
he really wanted this shot and he’s really ready then he
needs to do it himself.

“I need you to earn it. I need you to face me at All Out.
And I need you to leave the Don Callis Family behind you. I
need you to leave Don Callis back there. And damnit, I need
you to find some socks!”

And with that, Hangman put the challenge back in Fletcher’s
court.

Fletcher got right in his face and said he’d do it alone
because he won’t fail like Hangman did six years ago.

“At All Out, you will say my full name, the AEW TNT Champion
and NEW AEW World Champion, ‘The Protostar’ Kyle Fletcher.”

MJF Says “I Do” to Mark Briscoe

After this past Saturday’s AEW Collision, MJF addressed the
open-ended challenge he has with Mark Briscoe, as the
stipulation has yet to be named.

MJF reminded everyone he was married the day before and when
his wife questioned where he was going, she threatened to
leave him. But he’s been married for a while. He’s married
to the game. He’s married to hate. He’s married to …
vengeance.

He will walk down the aisle this Saturday on Collision and
say “I do” to whatever stipulation Briscoe has for their
match at All Out.

Jon Moxley Gives the Young Bucks a Lucrative Pep Talk

In what might be a pro wrestling first, Renee Paquette came
to us from earlier in the day in the catering area ahead of
the huge $500K 10-Man Tag to catch up with a pair of
brothers who could really use the money, the Young Bucks.

Renee asked what they would do with the money, prompting
Matt to run down the city and food of Philadelphia before
claiming they will order expensive food when they win. Nick
had plans to double his money at the slot machines.

The Young Bucks then tried to sit with Dark Order, but the
seats were taken. They went to the next table and ran into
Brandon Cutler, who told them, “I should have said this a
long time to you guys, shut up, Young Bucks!”

Just then, Jon Moxley sat down, reminding Nick and Matt that
they are the best tag team in the world. He then promised
them $250K each if they show up to win. The Bucks seemed
rejuvenated knowing they could take the entire winners’
purse.

Tag Team Match: Riho & Alex Windsor def. TBS Champion
Mercedes Moné & Emi Sakura

Ten days before they meet for the TBS Championship at All
Out in Toronto, Mercedes Moné and Riho were on opposite
sides of this international tag team battle. Moné enlisted
the help of Riho’s mentor, Emi Sakura, while Alex Windsor
joined Riho.

Moné didn’t last long with Riho to open the match, quickly
tagging out to Sakura to give us a teacher vs. student
matchup. However, Riho went right on the offensive, showing
no mercy to the woman who helped train her. Windsor tagged
in and kept the momentum going before taking out Sakura and
Moné with a cannonball to the outside. Riho immediately
followed up with a top-rope dive to the already woozy Sakura
and Moné!

Back in the ring, Sakura was able to turn it around on Riho
and Windsor with a double submission, as Moné gloated in the
background.

Moné and Sakura took turns punishing Riho, as Windsor looked
on helplessly from the corner. A flying headscissors gave
Riho the opening she needed to get the fresher Windsor back
in the match.

Much like we saw last week in their TBS Title match, Windsor
was able to get the best of Moné with her speed and power.
That allowed Riho to recover enough to hit a double stomp
onto an elevated Moné before a basement dropkick, similar to
what she did on Dynamite last Wednesday.

Riho took too long to get up from her own move, allowing
Sakura and Moné to get back into control, but not for long.
Windsor subdued Moné with a Sharpshooter in the ropes while
Riho tapped out Sakura with a single-leg Boston Crab in the
ring for the win!

Ricochet Offers a Gentleman’s Agreement to Shelton Benjamin

Renee Paquette spoke with Ricochet and GOA ahead of the
former’s match with Shelton Benjamin. Ricochet offered a
"gentleman's agreement” to Benjamin, proposing they leave
everyone in the back and do it one on one. He promised to
embarrass Benjamin later tonight.

The Numbers of FTR vs. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage

Renee Paquette narrated a breakdown of just how many
impressive statistics are behind the first-time ever matchup
between FTR and Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.

We then heard the annoyed voice of Stokely back in the 2300
Arena, as he complained about the quality of the statistics
before running down everyone in attendance.

Dax Harwood took the mic and started challenging different
members of the audience to a fight. During all of this, the
camera accidentally bumped into Dax, so Harwood, Wheeler,
and Stokely took it out physically on the helpless
cameraman. Once again, FTR’s ruthlessness showed no bounds.

Shelton Benjamin Has a Painful Plan for Ricochet

Renee Paquette asked The Hurt Syndicate for their response
to Ricochet’s gentleman’s agreement. Before MVP could say
much, Benjamin assured him he had it handled and told
Ricochet they can leave everyone in the back before
promising to put Ricochet on his back.

Ricochet def. Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate

Ricochet came firing out of the gates hot with a pair of big
dropkicks before quickly sending Benjamin out to the floor
and following with a twisting dive to the outside. The
fireworks continued with a 450 Splash, but Benjamin
forcefully kicked out at two, and it looked like Ricochet
had seen a ghost.

Benjamin, perhaps now warmed up, hit a step up knee to
Ricochet and sent him crashing to the outside. Ricochet got
a painful tour of the ringside area, as Benjamin ragdolled
him off the ring and guardrails. A brief moment of
hesitation allowed Ricochet to sidestep Benjamin, sending
him into the commentary desk head-first. Ricochet pounced on
Benjamin with a running kick and had now taken full control.

Ricochet fought off a small flurry to hit a big running
knee, and while Benjamin kicked out, it was not with the
same gusto as earlier in the match. A little too much
arrogance put Ricochet in trouble when he took too long to
stay on Benjamin, allowing Benjamin to snatch him for a
round of German suplexes as Philadelphia asked for more.

Another big knee strike in the corner put Ricochet down but
not out, as he kicked his way back into the match before
trading shots with Benjamin that took both men down.

“A-E-Dub!” “A-E-Dub!” “A-E-Dub!”

Benjamin hit a huge roundhouse kick, but Ricochet was able
to shake it off for a top rope Spanish Fly! Yet Benjamin
kicked out again! Ricochet then pulled out hidden scissors,
but Benjamin snatched and broke them before they were used.

Despite the gentleman’s agreement, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona
showed up at ringside. With Kaun distracting the referee,
Liona hit Benjamin with a massive headbutt, allowing
Ricochet grab a rollup with a handful of tights for the win.

With the match over, MVP and Bobby Lashley came to
Benjamin’s aid. As MVP paired off with Liona, the two
bemouths, Lashley and Liona squared off and could not be
separated by security with any kind of actual success.
Meanwhile, Ricochet was knocked out by a Benjamin kick in
the ring and had to be dragged away. These six men will do
battle in just 10 days at All Out!

Is It Time for Hook to Stand on His Own?

From a rooftop couch in front of a firepit, Hook addressed
his comments to Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs last week,
admitting he understood when they needed to go to the next
man up when he was injured. He appreciated their backup, but
it was time to stand on his own. Or is it?

Hangman Page vs. Kyle Fletcher Official for All Out

With his AEW World Championship match official for All Out
against “Hangman” Adam Page, TNT Champion “The Protostar”
Kyle Fletcher, alongside Don Callis, spoke with Tony
Schiavone, who also informed us that Fletcher agreed to
leave the Don Callis Family in the back for the match.

Callis said he had all the confidence in the world in
Fletcher doing it on his own and Fletcher said that Callis
needs to trust him because he will bring the AEW World
Championship to the Family.

Philly Street Fight: AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless”
Toni Storm def. Skye Blue of Triangle of Madness

The AEW Women’s Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm, made her
way to the ring, but not before grabbing a 2300 Arena sign
to add to a collection of weapons for this Philly Street
Fight. She even paid homage to one of the building’s
greatest legends by grabbing a kendo stick and smashing a
can over her head.

Blue entered with a kendo stick of her own, but it was Storm
who went to work early with a variety of weapons, including
a stop sign she played like a guitar, as “Natural Born
Killaz” likely played in everyone’s heads. Somehow, Blue
battled back and found a staple gun, which she used across
Storm’s backside, chest and … nether regions. Yes, you read
that right. Taz was speechless.

While Blue remained in control for the next few minutes, the
two fought back outside on the guardrail, trading shots
until Blue knocked Storm down with a street sign disguised
as a Tony Schiavone appreciation banner. Storm immediately
turned the table by sweeping out Blue’s leg, sending her
face first into the railing.

A scheming Storm revealed a table covered by mousetraps
before eating some cheese and offering it to the commentary
team. Only Excalibur accepted. Storm trapped Blue’s finger
in one of the mouse traps, yet it wasn’t enough to deter
Blue. She powerbombed Storm from the apron onto the trap-
covered table!

As the traps continued to trigger on Storm as she lay on the
table, Blue introduced a chair into the match, getting Storm
back in the ring. Storm gained control of the chair and wore
it out all over Blue before hitting a DDT, yet Blue was
somehow able to kick out.

The Philly Street Fight got a new weapon when Storm brought
in an electrified bug swatter, which she put across Blue’s
backside multiple times. With Blue in trouble in the corner,
she was able to fight out with a powerbomb onto a trash can,
but this time, Storm kicked out.

The 2300 Arena sign Storm found earlier came back into play
when she lodged it across a downed Blue in the corner and
crashed into it with a hip attack. One Storm Zero later and
the AEW Women’s World Champion was victorious.

Storm had barely any time to celebrate before she was
attacked by the other members of Triangle of Madness, Thekla
and Julia Hart. Kris Statlander hit the ring to make the
save, but was also quickly outnumbered.

That brought out Jamie Hayter to even the odds and the tide
had turned for a minute until Hayter mistakenly hit
Statlander with a big forearm. Hart and Thekla disposed of
Hayter with Storm becoming the primary target.

Thekla stood up Storm and cut her in half with a spear
before hitting her spider pose over Storm to send the
strongest message ahead of the 4-Way AEW Women’s World
Championship match at All Out.

Harley Cameron Tries to Win Over Willow Nightingale

Renee Paquette was with Willow Nightingale, who had words
for Marina Shafir, but before she could say anything else,
Harley Cameron entered with her guitar in an attempt to mend
fences between Nightingale and Kris Statlander. Despite an
offer to draw a cat on her face, Willow declined, citing her
past with Statlander and the friends Stat “clearly” already
has. And with that, Willow warned Harley to watch her back
around Stat, while Harley and Renee repeated the chorus of
everyone’s new favorite song.

AEW Unified Championship Tournament Announced

We learned that the AEW Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada,
would be putting his title on the line in an AEW Unified
Championship Tournament. First, Okada will face Michael Oku
this Saturday on AEW Collision. Also on Collision, Konosuke
Takeshita takes on Anthony Bowens. And next week on the
September to Remember AEW Dynamite, The Beast Mortos battles
Mascara Dorada. The winners of those three matches will meet
in the tournament final at All Out.

$500K 10-Man Tag: The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio
Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) & the Young Bucks (Matt and
Nick Jackson) def. AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (ROH
World Champion Bandido and Brody King) & AEW World Trios
Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and
Katsuyori Shibata)

With the $500K prize sitting on the commentary desk, it was
time for our main event!

We started off with ROH World Champion Bandido and the
financially-motivated Nick Jackson. Matt Jackson almost
immediately got illegally involved, but that was quickly
seen by referee Rick Knox, who broke it up. The desperation
of the Bucks was on full display.

Brody King and Bandido went into some of their tandem
offense, and while their wrestling moves were great, King
still wasn’t ready to do the Macarena with Bandido. Samoa
Joe also had no interest in dancing, but he did enjoy
punishing Wheeler Yuta with jabs as the Philadelphia crowd
egged him on over and over again. Katsuyori Shibata got into
the mix, but Yuta found some separation to get a tag into
Claudio Castagnoli.

Everything broke down as everyone started to brawl, although
the Bucks tried to avoid Powerhouse Hobbs and King. They
were sent to the outside, where King flattened them with a
dive before sending them into the waiting Hobbs to do more
damage.

With Castagnoli isolated in the ring, he was ping-ponged
around before Bandido hit him with a frog splash, but it was
only good enough for a two! The Bucks had some
miscommunication on the outside, which Bandido took
advantage of until Moxley laid him out to shift the
advantage to his side.

After suffering a lot of damage, Bandido was able to get a
little window to make a tag, but his entire team was
attacked before that could happen. Just when it seemed like
the Bucks were getting it together, Bandido was able to
separate them and hit a cutter on Matt before making a much-
needed tag to Hobbs.

Hobbs went corner to corner with splashes to both Moxley and
Castagnoli, as the crowd punctuated each connection with
chants of “BEEF!” Marina Shafir distracted the referee so
Yuta could hit a chair shot on Hobbs, but it had no effect.
That brought King in the ring to hit a superplex ahead of
the Second Shooter. Bandido was unable to connect and the
match continued.

Bandido attempted to take on the Young Bucks by himself, but
Matt blocked a monkey flip and trapped Bandido in a pinning
predicament while Nick illegally assisted out of the
referee’s view to earn the three count and $500K!

The Bucks tried to celebrate, but were chased away by King.
Meanwhile, the Death Riders went to work on The Opps until
Darby Allin hit the ring like a bat out of hell! Allin and
Moxley were alone in the ring fighting it out and when it
looked like he had the advantage, a hooded individual
attacked him from behind.

IT WAS DANIEL GARCIA!

Garcia was mercilessly booed by the 2300 Arena, as they
transitioned into “You Sold Out!” chants.

Shafir brought a chair in the ring, which Garcia used to
stomp Allin’s face into, leaving him in a lifeless heap.
Moxley continued to bark out instructions while Garcia
rained down blows on Allin. The three left through the crowd
as our night in Philadelphia came to a close in a shocking
manner.

Catch AEW Collision Saturday at 8/7c on TNT and streaming on
HBO Max from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA!
