After an absence of one year, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team
Classic tournament is returning to NXT starting from next
week with two first-round matches.
The brackets will be revealed later this week with tag teams
from NXT, Raw, Smackdown, EVOLVE, and AAA all participating.
The announcement of the 14-team tournament was made by NXT
General Manager Robert Stone in a backstage segment.
The tournament did not take place last year, with Bron
Breakker and Baron Corbin the last winners in the 2024
tournament, defeating Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in
the final.
The concept was introduced in 2015 and was held every year
except for 2017, 2023, and last year.
