A new number one contender for the NXT title emerged last
night following the NXT on The CW broadcast.
A triple threat match was held between Tony D’Angelo, Saquon
Shugars, and Mason Rook to determine who will move on to face
champion Grayson Waller next. The trio won a six-man tag team
match last week to advance to this number one contender’s
match.
It was British star Mason Rook who came out victorious,
pinning the former NXT champion D’Angelo after a top rope
splash.
The match between the two doesn’t have a date or place yet,
with the next NXT PLE set for Halloween Havoc on October 31.
