WWE LIVE: Chile sees first major WWE world title change at a house show since 1994

A rare event took place last night in Santiago, Chile, as a
major WWE world title swapped hands at a non-televised live
event.

While other titles, such as Intercontinental, United States,
Tag Team, and the now-retired 24/7, have changed hands at
house shows, it’s very, very rare that major single titles
do so without the bright lights of live television
broadcasts.

Stephanie Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s
World title yesterday, marking the first time that the
women’s title officially changed hands at a house show.

It’s also the first time since November 1994 when a major
title match went the other way, with then champion Bob
Backlund losing the WWE Championship to Diesel at a house
show in Madison Square in eight seconds.
