The Sheik Bloodies Mark Lewin In The 1960s!
One of the coolest things about "The Territories: Detroit"
is it contains over a dozen matches/segments of newly found,
digitized, or extended footage not seen in decades, which is
sure to make this a collector's item. One such example
traces the rivalry between The Sheik and Mark Lewin rivalry
all the way back to the black-and-white TV era of the 1960s.
And just because it was a more "wholesome" era in
television, don't fool yourself - neither man ever minded
spilling a little (or a lot) of blood.
The announcer lamenting about what's become of this TV
program and Lewin's last words are both priceless.
Terry Funk Brawls With Mark Lewin
Detroit was never short on chaos. This melee involving Terry
Funk, Mark Lewin, former NFL player Walter Johnson, and a
couple splintered pieces of broken chairs is just one such
example of the mayhem fans grew up on.

are overlooked by some today, but were vital in a previous
era. They were to serve as a preview of the personalities
and action you would see if you bought your ticket to watch
the top stars battle each other at your local arena.
Naturally, a Sheik "enhancement match" wouldn't be an
ordinary TV match... it would be a bloodletting, as Mike
Wicks found out the hard way.
