A triple threat number one contender’s match for the NXT title
will be held next week to see who will be facing new champion
Grayson Waller.
The match will pit Tony D’Angelo vs Mason Rook vs Saquon
Shugars after the trio won a six-man tag team match against
Cruz Montana, EK Prosper, and Keanu Carver. The stipulation
was that members of the winning team would then face each
other for a spot against Waller.
The Australian Waller won the NXT title in a fatal four-way
match at Heatwave last month, beating D’Angelo, Montana, and
Zilla Fatu for his first singles title.
