NXT ON CW: September 8 results (F4wonline)

Posted on 9/09/126 by Bob Magee

Tonight promises to be a wrestling show that will feature
some wrestling and most likely some interrupting. So, before
I get interrupted, let’s kick things off with:

Jaida Parker and Thea Hail in the NXT Warehouse Playset.
Parker told Hail that she was headed to the ring to get her
championship, so Hail should go get hers. That made Hail
very excited and then Parker and Kelani Jordan headed to the
ring.

NXT Women’s Championship Match: Kelani Jordan (c) vs Jaida
Parker
Last week, new NXT Women’s Champion Jordan came to the ring
to tell us all how great she is and how she deserves
this. She forgot that this was NXT though and was immediately
interrupted by Jaida Parker who in addition to being Thea
Hail’s sudden best friend, thinks that she deserves the belt
because it is acutally her who is great. So now we’re doing
this.

Parker clearly had the strength advantage and that showed in
the opening lock up. She flattened Jordan with a shoulder,
then went for a quick crucifix pin for two. Jordan came up
dancing and swung away. The two traded shoves and Jordan
caught Parker with a punch to the back and some corner
kicks.

Jordan hit a crossbody from the second rope, but Parker
tried to steal one with a quick pin. Jordan went for a
hurricanrana, but Parker countered it into a powerbomb for
two. Parker missed a baseball slide and went flying to the
outside where Jordan hit her with a neckbreaker.

Back in the ring, Jordan dropped a leg, but Parker came back
with some hard strikes. Jordan elbowed her in the traps then
grabbed a reverse headlock. Parker powered out of it and
sent Jordan sprawling. Parker hit a rough rider from the
top, but seemed to take a lot out of herself to do it.

They traded punches until Parker caught Jordan with a
clothesline x3. Parker hit a blockbuster and then a falcon
arrow, but could only get a two count. Parker went for a
suplex, but Jordan countered it. Parker locked in wings of
saturn, but Jordan rolled her over to make her break the
hold.

Parker rolled out of the ring and Jordan hit her with a
Moonsault. She threw Parker back in for a 450, but Parker
moved and countered it with a Samoan drop. Parker hit her
drop attack and did some high stepping, but Jordan got her
into the corner and hit the split-legged moonsault to get
the three count and retain the NXT Women’s title.

Match Result: Kelani Jordan defeated Jaida Parker

After the match, Wren Sinclair ran down to the ring and beat
up Jordan with a Kendo stick, taking out the ref in the
process.

-Then footage from “yesterday” was shown. In the Robert
Stone’s Office Playset, Robert Stone was wrapping up a pre-
taped commercial(?) or promo of some kind. Noam Dar and
Romeo Moreno walked in. They wanted something needed to be
done about the Creed Brothers. Stone said, “yeah, that
sucks.” Dar then said “buuuuuuuuut….” and Stone said, “I’m
sold.” and made the match.

-Back from break (but after Dar & Moreno’s entrance) Miles
Borne posted another Tweet, in which he said that maybe he
was wrong about Tavion Heights and wished him well in his
North American Title Match. The camera pulled back and in
the NXT Lunchroom Playset, Heights was watching the video
with Hank & Tank. Heights said he didn’t know what to
believe and then left.

Romeo Moreno & Noam Dar vs The Creed Brothers (Brutus &
Julius)
Last week, Los Amaricano Hermanos returned to NXT as the
Creed Brothers and attacked Dar and Moreno. So, after a
lengthy lobbying campaign, Dar & Moreno get a shot at
avenging that attack, which, actually kinda makes sense.
Huh, lookit that. Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy were also
attacked, but baby steps, people. This is the first NXT
match for the Creeds since October 2023.

Moreno and Julius started things off with some amateur style
rolling around. Brutus tagged in and Julius executed the
slowed backbreaker I’ve ever seen on Moreno over Brutus’
knee. Moreno came back with a kick and Dar grabbed a blind
tag. Dar knocked Julius off the Apron and then held Brutus
for a double stomp and then Moreno and Dar put the Creeds in
stereo submission locks.

After getting out of it, the Creeds went to the outside
where Dar and Moreno kicked and leapt onto them. Julius
charged at Moreno, but he moved and Julius want into the
steps. Dar and Moreno threw Brutus into the ring and double
stomped his arm and legs.

Dar threw some kicks, so Brutus powered up and threw Dar
with a German suplex. Julius tagged in and they hit him with
stereo knees to the gut. Julius and Dar foight around the
ring, with Julius staying in control. Dar tried to sneak a
tag to Moreno, but Brutus cut him off. The Creeds hit Dar
with a backstabber/fall away slam combo, but Dar caught him
with a little dropkick. Dar went for a tag again, but Julius
caught him in a bear hug. Awwww

Dar escaped both Creeds and finally got the tag to Romero
who came in and cleared the ring, putting the exclamation
point on it with a missile dropkick to Brutus. Dar tagged
back in and they hit julius with a double slam, but Julius
kicked out of the cover.

Moreno went from up top, but Julius caught him and turned it
into a powerbomb. Brutus pulled Dar from the ring and went
up top, but Dar followed and cut him off and Moreno went for
a cover and Brutus broke it up with a Brutus Bomb from the
ringpost. Dar and Brutus fought on the outside and Moreno
tried to steal one with a quick rollup. Julius clotheslined
him and then Brutus joined him in the ring to double slam
Moreno and get the victory.

Match Result: The Creed Brothers defeated Romeo Moreno &
Noam Dar

-Footage from earlier today in the NXT Lunchroom Playset was
shown. Birthright was complaining about Zilla Fatu when Lord
Steven Regal and Fit Finlay wandered in. They told
Brithright that they should stop complaining and do
something, like kick Fatu’s butt. Regal volunteered Dempsey
and that seemed to do the trick.

Honestly, if Finlay and Regal start acting as the
controlling force around Birthright, I’d instantly become a
Birthright fan.

-Back from break, Robert Stone confronted Wren Sinclair in
the NXT Warehouse Playset. Grey went off about how no one is
looking out for her or Kendal Grey. Stone responded by
suspending her.

-In the ring, Charlie Dempsey had a mic and started
complaining about being under appreciated. He said that
maybe he’s not as flashy as some, but he’s all about action
over words and maybe that’s held him back. But he’s also
never sold out or played the game like them in the back.

When he was asked to join Birthright, it was too good to
pass up. They wanted to mold the business in their image and
show everyone who they are. Dempsey said that he is the best
grappler in the whole company, but he’s been made to look
like a joke and a fool.

Dempsey said that he’s sick of being treated like a joke by
a company more interested in turning football players into
stars instead of people like him who deserve it. He said
that there’s no one in the back who can step up to
Birthright, especially Zilla Fatu. He then inexplicably
pitched Fatu on joining Birthright again, asking him to come
out an accept the invitation.

Then, Haaaallllooo, Zilla Fatu came out with a mic and said
that the majority of what Dempsey said was true. He does
feel like he lives in his father’s shadow, but he’s not to
going to get lost in Birthright because he’s not one of the
ones, he’s the one. Fatu turned down the invitation and that
conjured the rest of Birthright who jumped him 4-on-1.

Fatu fought them off until Lexis King hit him with a chair.
Birthright cleared the announce table and then dropped Fatu
through it. For good measure, Dempsey ripped Fatu’s shirt
off.

-A taped promo from Naraku aired next, in which Naraku told
us even more about the poison mist. He has used the red and
the green mist on Shiloh Hill and if Hill doesn’t stop all
of this now, he’s going to use all the colors of mist on
him. My questions are: 1, how many colors are there? and 2,
stop all of what!? I have no idea what this feud is over.

-In the NXT Locker Room Playset, Shugars, Rook and D’Angelo
were getting ready. Shugars was trying to talk strategy,
buyt D’Angelo told them to just stay out of his way. Then
Tristan Angels wandered in, upset that he wasn’t included in
this match and Rook was. He called Shugars a sheep and left.

NXT North American Championship Match: Jackson Drake (c)
w/Vanity Project vs Tavion Heights
At Heatwave, Miles Borne had a bad night. He and Heights
lost the tag titles to Vanity Project, he lost the North
American title to Jackson Drake and then he beat up his
friend Heights, because, I dunno, he had to beat up someone
I guess. Borne told us via X last week that he did it before
Heights turned on him, which he had shown absolutely no sign
of doing. Then this week he told us, also on X, that maybe
he was wrong. Seriously, Heights just wanted a title belt.
That was it. Any way, Drake offered this title shot to
Heights, to rub it in, I guess?

Heights started the match by dumping Drake over his head and
wrestling him to the mat. Heights amateur skills were on
display and Drake could only try and roll him up to get him
to stop. Drake hit Heights with a kick and then an elbow,
sending him off the ropes but whiffing on an armdrag.
Heights hit him with a shoulder instead.

Drake threw some strikes and they traded go-behinds until
Drake rolled out of the ring. Heights went to go off the
ropes, but Ricky Smokes grabbed his ankle. Heights levelled
Smokes, then got back in the ring for Drake to throw him
right back out and hit him with a senton.

Back in the ring, Drake grabed a headlock and then threw
Heights to the mat. Heights fought out of it and ran Drake
into the corner. Drake went up for a jump from the second
rope, but Heights moved and Drake grabbed his ankle. He took
off his boot and Heights took advantage with an ankle lock.

Drake got out of it and rolled to the floor to check his
ankle. Drake got back in and Heights hit him with an ankle-
chop-block. Drake rolled out again, and Heights followed so
Drake could send him into the ringpost. They rolled back
into the ring and Drake started elbowing Heights in the
chest.

Heights grabbed the bad ankle again, bending it. Drake
punched him until he let go. Heights got to his feet and
they traded shots until Heights dropped Drake with a big
right hand. Heights hit a belly-to-belly and then a sling
blade on Drake. Drake caught him with a kick and a suplex
though.

They moved to the ring apron and Drake kicked Heights.
Heights caught his leg and German suplex’ed Drak onto the
apron (the Ankle-est part of the ring!). They rolled back in
and traded covers until Heights went back to the ankle.
Drake landed a stiff knee to the face and went up top for a
450. Drake made the pin and retained his North American
Title.

Match Result: Jackson Drake defeated Tavion Heights

After the match, Miles Borne signed out of X and came
through the crowd. Heights saw him and gave him the stink
eye before heading to the back.

-In the other NXT Locker Room Playset (or the same one, who
can tell?), Cruz Montana, Keanu Carver and EK Prosper agreed
to put their differences aside so that they could get that
match next week. Robert Stone wandered in, said “looking
forward to the competition” and left.

-Back from a break, NXT Women’s North American Champion
Zaria came down to the ring. Zaria, as you may recall, has
trouble making friends and recently 86-ed the Speed Titles
out of NXT. She grabbed a mic and said that for the longest
time, there was always someone or something holding her back
from championship gold, namely Sol Ruca.

Since getting rid of Ruca, Zaria said she has knocked down
all of the NXT favourites. She then recapped Heatwave and
said that it was her redemption (that was AEW, Zaria, be
careful). Zaria said that she will be the most dominant
North American championship, which is of course, the signal
for an interruption, this time by Izzi Dame*.

Dame said that she doesn’t buy Zaria’s fake act. She said
that Zaria has become everything she’s ever hated. Dame said
that she is going to expose Zaria and show everyone who she
really is. That brought out Thea Hail who said that it’s
time for her to go for whatever she wants. Dame then said
“boooooooring” and said that she will let Hail and Zaria
fight it out and pick up the leftovers.

Hail said she wanted to prove that she isn’t a one-hit
wonder. Zaria said that Hail depends on someone else
thinking for her. Hail said that Zaria was jealous because
she had a real friend (Jaida Parker). Hail told her to get
over Sol Ruca and that caused Zaria to start brawling with
Hail. Hail slapped an armbar on Zaria, did an Ultimate
Warrior impression (complete with furry tassels) and that
was it.

*Hey, speaking of Izzi Dame, remember when Shawn Spears just
didn’t show up for a match with Lizzy Hale against Dame and
Nico like three weeks ago and no one’s heard from or seen
him since? Just wanted to bring that up again.

-Backstage, in the NXT Hallway Playset Hank and Tank
approached Miles Borne who was upset that Heights wouldn’t
talk to him. Hank and Tank said that Borne needs to take
care of this, so Borne said that next week he’s going to
apologize to Heights face to face.

-Back from break, in the NXT Warehouse Playset, Birthright
was celebrating their beating up of Zilla Fatu 5-on-1 with
William Regal and Fit Finlay. Vanity Project wandered in and
talked about how great they are, then Van Dux and Legacy
showed up and said they deserve an NXT Title shot. Then the
Creeds arrived and said they did. Then another, then
another. They all just yelled at each other as the segment
ended.

-The scen switched to the NXT Interview Playset where Kali
Armstrong was telling the world how greaet she is. Izzy Hale
wandered by and they yelled at each other about stolen
interview time. They also yelled at each other until the
segment was over and the Main Event introductions began.

Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook & Saquon Shugars vs EK Prosper,
Cruz Montana & Keanu Carver
So in my head-cannon that says that these guys were all so
tired of the constant interruptions that happened on last
week’s show they decided to blow off some steam to settle
it. However, the actual reason for this match is that the
winning team will have a triple threat match next week and
the winner of that match will be the #1 Contender to Grayson
Waller’s NXT title. It was a good idea and Keanu Carver came
up with it and Stone ran with it because, let’s be honest,
it’s way better than all six of them complaining in Stone’s
office for three weeks.

After the first three introductions (Shugars, Rook and
D’Angelo), Grayson Waller came out to join commentary. Then
we went to break. Then the card for next week was tee’d up.
Then the next three introductions (Prosper, Montana and
Carver). Then, a full seven minutes after they started, the
introductions ended and the match began.

It started with everyone pairing off and brawling. Shugars
and Prosper stayed in the ring, so that made them legal.
Everyone returned to their corners and Prosper hit Shugars
with a kick to the head off the ropes. Carver grabbed a
blind tag as Shugars threw Prosper out of the ring.

Shugars got Carver in an octopus, but Carver came back by
shoving Carver about 15 feet across the rings off the ropes.
Rook tagged in and Carver hit him with a back body drop.
Montana made a tag and Rook sent him to the corner for a
splash. He hit him with another one of the ropes for a two
count.

D’Angelo tagged in but Montana caught him and Rook with a
double cutter out of the corner. Montana hit D’Angelo with a
sidewalk slam for a two count, but D’Angelo came back with a
German suplex. Prosper tagged in and D’Angelo sent him to
the corner. Prosper went off the top, and D’Angelo hit him
with a spinebuster.

Shugars tagged in and hit an Atomic Drop on Prosper while
Grayson Waller droned on about how bad everyone in NXT
smells. Carver and Montana thew Prosper at Shugars who wa
son the ringpost and Prosper hurricanrana’ed him off the
ringpost.

The tags were fast and furious with people staying in for
one or two moves and then bailing out. Knowing what was
(eventually) at stake, it wasn’t a surprise that both teams
worked well together in terms of tags and double teams.

Montana managed to isolate Shugars in his teams’s corner and
they worked him over a bit until Prosper dropkicked him. He
followed that with a suplex. Prosper put a headlock on
Shugars, but Shugars got out of it. Montana came back in to
cur off the tag. Carver followed after that, but Shugars got
him in a slam and tagged in Rook.

Rook knocked Montana over and splashed him in the corner. He
dumped him with a scoop slam and nailed him with a Senton
for two. Montana rolled him up for two in response. They
worked over the isolated Rook while Grayson made fun of
Rook’s accent (?). Carver and Montana hit a double superplex
on Rook and Prosper followed up with a splash, but Rook
kicked out at two.

Rook got a tag to D’Angelo who suplexed Prosper repeatedly.
Then he did the same to Carver and hit Prosper with a
bulldog followed by a power slam. Carver broke up the cover
though. Cruz called fro Spin the Block on D’Angelo, but hit
Carver by accident.

D’Angelo hit Prosper with a spear and then a chokeslam. Then
Rook grabbed him and put him on his shoulders to Cannonball
Prosper in the corner. Rook grabbed Prosper and made the
cover to win the match for his team.

Match Result: Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook & Saquon Shugars
defeated EK Prosper, Cruz Montana & Keanu Carver

After the match, Carver and Montana brawled on the outside,
while Shugars, D’Angelo and Rook loomed over Grayson as the
show came to an end.
